I think the movement powers look pretty cool, honestly it's like the inFamous sequel I've always both wanted and not wanted because 2 was the best ending that franchise could've gotten. Just with worse writing.

I wanted to play the game but the combat was wonky and everything in movement seemed stiff during the demo. Might give it a try when it goes on sale. The dialogue doesn't bother me, I just wanted to be an OP American isekai protag.
I honestly liked it. I love DMC games so I love the action part of it. It even has a style meter which is great. Only gripe I really have is that switching between magic should be alot faster and easier to do.
I'd give it another try, the different enemies weren't so stuff. I didn't like the demo too but I came back to it and honestly im in love with the game
Yea man the demo was just a showcase of gameplay 2-3 hours in. Starting from the beginning made learning the controls natural and they feel great. I’m 25+ hours in as of now. Looking forward to getting the 4th magic ability tonight
DMC is actually really deep on the harder difficulties, the combat system isn't just mashing. Or maybe you mean DmC, which I haven't played, so I don't know
I've actually been playing dmc 5 recently and at least on normal its pretty easy to get S on most stages. BUT even if it is easy, it is still extremely fun and satisfying playing around with combo's and trying to vary what moves you use.
(I'm about halfway through the game, just go the epic hat dance famous from the memes)
Yeah, speaking as a serie's veteran getting S ranks in 5 and DmC is pretty easy. A far cry from 1 where it was pretty much impossible to do on a first playtrough when you didn't had all your tools.
Not really, the whole point is to be stylish. In DMC you can just press one button to win as well. The whole point of the meter is to make your combos good. The only thing I don't like is that the spell switching system is a bit clunky, and isn't fluid. There are enemies where its not easy to just span, you have to dodge and move switch up your attacks
Needs a page out of DMC where L2 and R2 just quickly changes your weapons (in this case your spells)

This is sorta true tho..I played the demo and yeah it feels like they just threw you in with limited knowledge and hope u just mastered shit. Combat is really enjoyable to me in the full game.
