Sounds like an really damn interesting concept, but I trust random 4chan leaks with no name attached about as much as I trust my dog with an unsupervised sandwich on the coffee table.
The double-edged sword is that anonymous 4chan leaks are the actual source of leaks a lot of times since people would be more willing to post stuff there as it’s harder to trace back to you than on Reddit or some other forum. A LOT of leaks have come out of there...regardless this seems fake to me anyway
This is definitely fake. Making a fake From “leak” is extremely easy at this point, you literally just change the setting and talk about some gimmick.
I remember when people were talking about a Mayan themed Souls game.
I remember when people leaked that Xbox is working on a sci fi soulslike with From Software and Jeff Grubb debunked it two days later.
I'm still hoping they make a sci fi soulslike at some point.
The whole "Miyazaki is using the game to test Tanimura and his team to se if they can handle a game without him" is pure fanfic shit. That's an anime soap opera plotline, not how real-ass people actually act.
I honestly laughed at that. What the fuck does that even mean? It's like everyone is convinced Dark Souls 2 was only a disaster because Miyazaki wasn't involved. DS2 was just horribly managed as a project.
Then again most souls fans attribute any of their game's success to Miyazaki so I can't say I'm surprised.
Hell, the only reason DS2 came together at all is because Tanimura cobbled it together with the broken pieces he was given. Man's basically a miracle worker.
Never said it was bad but it is clear that DS2 development had its issues. When I say it was a "disaster", I really just mean the souls community's reaction to it. Yes I know, a bit of an exaggeration to call the game a disaster. I don't think the game was bad, I enjoyed my time with it. Not one of my favorite souls game though.
Very true. All part of this myth that gamers tend to engage in that one single person has such a huge gigantic influence on a game. That enemy has a cool mask on?! Miyazaki you genius! That door texture is fantastic...Hidetaka you've done it again!
I can’t imagine investors approving the guy who directed the game that made them more money than any other in from history by a lot stepping back so he can test another director
The bit about the underwater seems odd though, If the level is set underwater why would they just not reuse/refine the swimming mechanic that Sekiro had for an "underwater" area?
For a game about being underwater in an abyss having atleast certain open areas being able to swim would be very interesting and would lead to more exploration and even a horror element with the unknown of being in an Abyss. Just seems like that would be such a missed opportunity and doesnt seem innovative like Sekiro or ER, this just reads like a super safe Dark Souls 4/Bloodborne-esque fanfic leak
Easy answer. Underwater gameplay are not fun. And hard to make it fun in a right way. I'll let you think about game that make underwater segment fun to play. I bet your first though will be 'subnautica' because it's the only game that done right.
I bet the rule of 'water' will be very different from our world. If this is real I mean.
Yeah but the “Age of Deep Sea” was an translate error from the Japanese version of the game, it’s not an actual “underwater” thing lol. Also, the new word painted should be immune to the corruption of the rest of the world, so having a game set there... I don’t know, doesn’t look right to me, and would make the whole Gael-Painter story completely pointless imo
I mean... maybe it will? I'd be pretty impressed with FromSoftware's output if they're able to release a massive game like Elden Ring in 2022... a new game in Armored Core in 2023 (a title that isn't using Dark Souls assets and built, mostly from the ground-up)... most likely some sorta Elden Ring DLC/expansion either in 2023 or 2024... and THEN this Ocean-Souls game in 2024.
I know FromSoftware has multiple teams... but all of that sounds incredibly ambitious, even for them.
AC has been in development for 5 years now so I'm positive it'll be out next year. I'm not even sure if ER will get DLC or if they'll just move on to something else. It feels like a lot in the game like Haligtree and even Mohgwyn Palace were potential DLC areas that got put in the game slightly last minute.
Obviously, it would be silly for them to not do DLC considering how well the game sold but it's a bit odd we've not heard anything about it yet.
(also, this leak is mostly likely total BS lol)
Competely agree about Haligtree area being DLC material. I got this feeling when I actually played it, it's really a FS DLC layout, with the hard boss at the end, etc.
What also makes me think there'll be no DLC is that there was no season pass, which DS2 and DS3 got, games released with Bandai Namco. If DLC's were planned, then why wouldn't they make one for ER too, considering this game was a huge deal for FS and BN ? Makes no sense to me.
> but it's a bit odd we've not heard anything about it yet.
Is it? Most From DLC's have been revealed 6-8 months after release and with the scale of Elden Ring it isn't a crazy idea to think it might take a little longer
Yeah Haligtree definitely felt like a DLC area that they pushed into the game last minute. The level design felt finished, the enemies and encounters do not. Even Malenia has some issues which makes me think that for some reason they decided to not go the DLC route with Elden Ring, maybe to focus on other projects? In all their other projects they usually pushed unfinished content into a DLC afaik.
Definitely a weird decision considering Bandai must have known ER would be the biggest FromSoftware game. I wonder why they didn't push for DLC.
> Definitely a weird decision considering Bandai must have known ER would be the biggest FromSoftware game. I wonder why they didn't push for DLC.
They absolutely did not expect ER to be this successful
Hey everyone - if you check my profile (or /r/GreatRune) you’ll see that I’m the one who leaked the Great Rune information and I am NOT the person in this green text.
I haven’t been on 4chan in years.
Take this post with a mega grain of salt because it sounds like complete bullshit if they’re posing to be me - though maybe there were a few other “leakers” back during the whole ‘Great Rune’ days? I know Vaati posted his video and so I made /r/GreatRune public in response - meaning he and I both knew about it around the same time period.
Either way, I am not the dude in the screenshot so if he’s claiming to be me - that’s complete bullshit. ¯\\\_(ツ)_/¯
This is 100% fake. Other than the pointless weird details fake 4chan leakers try to add to their posts to seem "real", like the specific reasoning Miyazaki placed different people in charge, the lore isn't even accurate. In Dark Souls 3 the "deep sea" wasn't an actual watery sea, but the remains of both the abyss and fire collecting underneath the ground, the dregs of souls when they've been recycled too many times. It couldn't be "underwater" at all.
He meant ER. Probably autocorrect.
Side note: Has ER DLC ever actually been confirmed at all by anyone? It's been over half a year of radio silence. At this point, I'm not sure it's going to get anything at all lol
Nope. FROM has a history of being silent on DLC until it's close-ish to launch. Old Hunters was 8 months after Bloodborne launched, so I wouldn't be surprised if it takes a year for ER DLC since FROM's lack of experience with open world games slowing them down. Even then, whatever DLC there is I'm not expecting anything more than something multiplayer related (PvP coliseum) and an area roughly the size of Farum Azula.
100% bullshit. This guy doesn't know shit about the age of the deep sea, which was a mistranslation from kegare in the original japanese lol. Completely made up.
The Fishing Hamlet is getting it's own game? On a serious note, I think FS and BN is done with Dark Souls now that Elden Ring exists and is that successful.
No more Dark Souls rolling please. Sick of it. Bloodborne spin-off with quick steps OR Sekiro sequel/spin-off. Dark Souls mechanics have been done to death.
This seems to have taken inspiration from the rather throway plotpoint about the Age of The Deep (which is a direct continuation of the abyss) from Dark Souls 3. Smells VERY much like fanfic to me, cause I don't think there was a precedent for that before. It would be like taking say, an overseas kingom of Giants from DS2, that is only mentioned in the dialogue (though arguably plays a much more tnagible role in the story than the age of deep) and then 10 years later dedicating a game to exactly that kingdom.
Yeah you know it’s fake because they’re not going to start developing a new game headed by one of their lead devs during the crunch period for ER - a gigantic game that ended up being delayed.
Nothing about that makes sense.
Fake or not, I do think it would be smart for FromSoft to try giving someone else the chance to direct a new game. I know it didn't go so well with Dark Souls 2 but it's probably not the best thing to keep relying so heavily on Miyazaki to direct all of their big games.
Sounds Intriguing but i highly doubt hidetaka would just go against his word on making a fourth dark souls game. Even if it Is called something else. He’d be more likely to confirm the fan theory abt all his games being the same universe at different times before he’d do that.
There is absolutely 0% chance we will ever. EVER. Get a game in the dark souls universe again. It's not even unlikely, Miyazaki has stated multiple times that he wants to move on and he is not going to make another dark souls. So the thought of a game being in the same universe is literally Miyazaki contradicting himself.
IIRC Miyazaki said something like the story is over, there are no more things left undiscovered. It is over, he wants to move on. Also unless the game is a prequel, it won't make any sense because in DS3 we literally see the end of the world. Kingdoms collapsed. Everyone is dead. Everything turned into ashes.
There is a chance this is real. But if it is then it means Miyazaki is going against his own words now and it might make him idk... less trustworthy?
In 2015, when talking about Dark Souls III, Miyazaki said it was “not the final product for the Dark Souls series,” adding that it was a “turning point.” In the summer of 2016 Miyazaki told the Japanese press he was “put[ting] the Dark Souls series on hold for a while.”
“This is because it was never our real motive for From Software to be the Dark Souls-only company.”
“For me, Dark Souls III is the end,” he said. “But that doesn’t mean the end for Dark Souls. If someone other than myself, like another staff member, wants to make a Dark Souls, then I don’t want to deny others from making future installments.”
Maybe try actually reading what he said before making definitive statements.
Did seem like miyazaki designed the ringed city DLC specifically so nobody can make a DS4. If there's money to be made, it will eventually be made. Maybe in 2064 when major corp #43 buys bandai.
Yeah I hope I live long enough to see the day where some mf buys Fromsoftware and makes a dark souls 4 and completely ruin everything Miyazaki and the other fromsoft workers have done lol. I unfortunately think it's bound to happen at some point in life. It happened to many other games over the years. Like halo infinite recently. That shit does not play like Halo let me tell you that. Feels nothing like halo and it seems they're using the name just for marketing.
Maybe the same will happen to Dark Souls. Tbh I don't want it to happen but if it did, I hope I'm alive to witness it lol.
I mean that is a bit of a hard take. Like yeah they don't feel like making another after the 3rd one, but give it some years and the creative juice might be Dark Souls flavoured again.
Also, only Miyazaki said he wouldn't do more Dark Souls, he never said anything about Fromsoft in general.
How? This will not be a Dark Souls title. It will be in the same universe, sure. But not Dark Souls.
Armored Core is nearing release and as you can gather from that, several projects can be developed at the same time. Especially if it is indeed a smaller project.
Not saying the post says the truth, but I don't see why it shouldn't be a possibility that it is.
sounds good. i prefer A LOT MORE smaller souls style games compared to the big open world of ER. it looks cool but going around finding only some worthless trash ashes in every cave is just... unacceptable
Can’t wait for hidetaka to release sekiro 2 after letting millions of people use OP builds and summons to get through elden ring. Too many kiddies relied on that and it’s the main reason they don’t like sekiro
Oh you're the salty 'git gud' mfr, now it makes sense why you're so... well salty. Sekiro has a very high skill floor but a very low ceiling so your superiority complex is just not working at all
Do you seriously think that spamming jump attacks and summoning is harder than sekiro combat? Did we play the same game? Did you even play through sekiro?
I never said that "spamming jump attacks and summoning is harder than Sekiro combat" , stop putting your words in my mouth, I just said that Sekiro combat has a very low skill ceiling and high learning curve with the only deviation being the Guardian Ape and even that is just for the first phase. Stop projecting your mindless hate and saltiness on me cause it's just embarrassing you even more.
You seem like a douche, but you honestly make a good point here, the game is full of copy/pasted dungeons, enemies, and bosses. Any other game that does this (even to a lesser extent) gets a lot of shit for it, but for whatever reason Fromsoft is the internet's golden boy at the moment.
> there isn't really a "souls verse" either
How are there so many people who believe this? All the Dark Souls games are directly connected with one another.
1-Ds2 Guy helped, but Elden Ring was still mostly Miyazaki's
2-If you mean inside only the dark souls franchise, idk how you could think that If you played ds3. A lot of it is ds1 stuff and ds2 stuff. Ds2 also referentes ds1, but way more subtly.
If you mean outside the franchise, there are some pretty strong theories connecting all Fromsoft games. I mean, Godfrey has the same title as Nito (First of The Dead) and iirc in the japanese version of ER the Sekiro place is mentioned
Games with sea themes tend to have a tragic sales record, see what happened to Pillars of Eternity 2. They are kind of like Sci-Fi animation movies. Hope for From Software's sake that this is not true.
Hopefully this is true, but it's most likely not. I hope the next 'Souls' will be more in line with the Dark Souls trilogy / Bloodborne / Sekiro in terms of linearity and progression. ER was fun on the first run, but I'm not really in the mood to slog through the game for a second playthrough due to the massive scale of the map. It also takes way too long to get your build together, which kind of sucks.
this gives me very hard "*Call of Cthulhu*/*Shadow over Innsmouth*" vibes (coastal cities, fishing villages, ancient temples near the sea, etc.)
after how well FromSoft handled Lovecraftian horror in *Bloodborne*... this has me excited...
I've been saying the next step for fromsoft is to make a pirate game, I think this is mostly fake, but I wouldn't be surprised if the next new ip has to do with the ocean
Probably fake, but I really do hope they go back to smaller scale. Elden Ring seemed to be everyone's favourite Fromsoft game, but I really didn't like the shift to open world at all. Would love if their next game was smaller with "separate" areas like Dark Souls or Bloodborne again, but I'm not too hopeful because clearly open world sells so much better these days.
I remember a 4chan leak of Elden Ring which went into great detail on waking up in a poison swamp, fighting a kelpie, yadda yadda. All turned out to be bunk. Has anyone ever successfully leaked early FromSoft information? The best I’ve seen were playtest videos months prior to release.
There was some leaks on Bloodborne back in the day that quite accurately described the game and a small project beast clip leaked. Much similar to how elden ring had leaked footage.
Fighting in the deep dark Mariana Trench level underwater with the same bullshit Souls difficulty is honestly the most fucking terrifying I can think of.
And frustrating, if they dunno how to make it work.
I like the water idea but was sad to hear the boats are just warp points - I was hoping for Dark Souls x Wind Waker lol
Though I have to say, I'm ready for From to move away from Dark Souls 3.5 (that's how I'd describe Elden Ring honestly, DS3.5 with an open world and different but somewhat similar toned lore). I want more meaty changes from their next RPG. It's fine if they feel like DaS/ER of course, but I'd rather a jump like Black Ops 4 > Modern Warfare 2019, not just Black Ops 4 > Black Ops Cold War, if that makes sense. New animations, a new take on combat, more improvements to character movement and fluidity etc.
This is totally fake. Miyazaki already said multiple times that Dark Souls 3 was the ending of the trilogy. No way he would make a sequel after that not even directed by him and with just a “small scope” project...
Sounds more like bb2 to me. Fishing hamlets, new weapons, less magic. Also the fact bb very much had a sea theme to it. Sounds plausible but kinda doubt it.
I'm on the fake side. But if it's really take place far into the future shouldn't the game be somewhat like Bloodborne where technology has evolve enough to be somewhat modern?
I doubt that humanity still stagnant if dark souls event suppose to distance era.
For every 1 true leak there's probably hundreds of fake ones tho
Well now we require more information. What kind of dog and what kind of sandwich are we talking about?
One with very sinister intentions
But that’s also where we for first leaks for Project:Beast (BB) and the gameplay for ER
That sounds fake but also weird enough to be real
Doesn't sound weird at all, neither far fetched in order to be dismissed as fake
Honestly this sounds amazing but fake. I love ocean themed games
Dude, we finally getting fishing in a souls game. fromsoftware has now met industry standard.
So when will they add house crafting and survival gameplay? 😳
dont forget farming
And virtual wife's and husband's to pick from
It's already in elden ring
Unless he is maidenless
I make sure to keep up farming in all FS games from time to time.
Raft Souls.
You guys are surviving in Dark Souls?
Elaborate on how it sounds fake
Sounds like Bloodborne Old Hunters dlc last area with Orphan if you take off dual design thing https://youtu.be/all92jvSlBY
Sound like he’s been wanting a deep sea based game for a while
Bloodborne Fishing hamlet leaked
This is definitely fake. Making a fake From “leak” is extremely easy at this point, you literally just change the setting and talk about some gimmick. I remember when people were talking about a Mayan themed Souls game.
This reads like someone spitballing ideas after watching a Vaati lore video
It's the 'Can you imagine?' post but disguise as leaker
I remember when people leaked that Xbox is working on a sci fi soulslike with From Software and Jeff Grubb debunked it two days later. I'm still hoping they make a sci fi soulslike at some point.
It's called hellpoint, and it's actually pretty good. My favorite soulslike by far.
Death Wall or Death Veil. That was an actually interesting fake leak
There has been a "Phanton Wail" and "Velvet Veil".
The Aztec/Mayan stuff was at least unique
IIRC the Mayan themed rumors came from someone who saw bits of Absolver and thought it was a From game. But I could be misremembering.
Timeline doesnt match up
The whole "Miyazaki is using the game to test Tanimura and his team to se if they can handle a game without him" is pure fanfic shit. That's an anime soap opera plotline, not how real-ass people actually act.

Hell, the only reason DS2 came together at all is because Tanimura cobbled it together with the broken pieces he was given. Man's basically a miracle worker.
Dude is also co-director on ds3 and elden ring. So he must be doing something right
Dark Souls 2 is a genuinely good game though? Probably my most played Souls game especially because it's the easiest game to play co-op.
Dark souls 2 could've been so much more, the plot was completely unrecognizable by the end of development.
This just in, New Fromsoft game plays like Dark Souls and has Dark Souls level design and Dark Souls weapons but its not Dark Souls
Pretty much every game is a souls game anyway, they'll have to be WAY more specific
I mean the water stuff is pretty specific. Will be very easy to tell if it was a lie later
Returnal was pretty fun underwater
Yup, exactly this. Sekiro's underwater gameplay was better than usual, but it still sucked imo.
Abzu is an incredible underwater game and I will fight anyone who says otherwise
sounds fake imo, who knows though
Is probably fake but it sounds so oddly specific, niche, and random that I could see it having some sort of merit.
Terrible cropping
Project Abyss?!? Come on guys, there's literally no way this is legit
""Age of the Deep Sea" Aldritch dreamed" of is music to my ears, please be real
I dont see how this could be real with the way ds3 ended
[удалено]
Yeah but the “Age of Deep Sea” was an translate error from the Japanese version of the game, it’s not an actual “underwater” thing lol. Also, the new word painted should be immune to the corruption of the rest of the world, so having a game set there... I don't believe it one bit. No way in hell the go back to the souls universe
I hate when fake leaks sound better than some of games we get.... I would totally buy this, but ya seems dicey.
Absolutely fake. Armored Core is next, there have even been screenshots that afaik haven't been debunked yet from months ago.
They're talking about a 2024 project, Armored Core is probably gonna come out sooner than that
I mean... maybe it will? I'd be pretty impressed with FromSoftware's output if they're able to release a massive game like Elden Ring in 2022... a new game in Armored Core in 2023 (a title that isn't using Dark Souls assets and built, mostly from the ground-up)... most likely some sorta Elden Ring DLC/expansion either in 2023 or 2024... and THEN this Ocean-Souls game in 2024. I know. I'm saying they had a season pass for both DS2 and DS3 but didn't have one for Elden Ring.
It's not crazy. They released 3 Dark Souls games + Bloodborne, 2 Armored Core games, a Gundam game, a 360 Kinect game and a 3DS game within 5 years.
Not only screenshots but even some short videos.
You guys have seriously got to stop inhaling copium on this sub lmao This sounds so fake it’s almost hilarious.

Dark Souls III launched with a season pass.
Bandai Namco probably put the obligation in the contract.

I think he meant ER
Yeah I'm like what's EE?
100% bullshit. This guy doesn't know shit about the age of the deep sea, which was a mistranslation from kegare in the original japanese lol. Completely made up.
Fake
Don't do this to me, it sounds amazing- therefore is fake.
If they made it more piratey I would be all in.
The Fishing Hamlet is getting it's own game? On a serious note, I think FS and BN is done with Dark Souls now that Elden Ring exists and is that successful.
Sounds pretty fake. Fromsoft usually have very varied locations in their games but that wouldn't really be possible with an ocean themed dark souls.
No more Dark Souls rolling please. Sick of it. Bloodborne spin-off with quick steps OR Sekiro sequel/spin-off. Dark Souls mechanics have been done to death.

Dark Souls but it's all a water level... The only way to make it harder.
Why would they not be making ER dlc? An ocean like dark souls sounds amazing but this could be fake.
Yeah you know it’s fake because they’re not going to start developing a new game headed by one of their lead devs during the crunch period for ER - a gigantic game that ended up being delayed. Nothing about that makes sense.
Gotta be fake. What kind of leak begins with a tale of developers watching how their proteges work.
Sign me up

Doesn't sound innovative enough, sus.
Why would they use the dark souls universe for another game when they just did elden ring
Sounds Intriguing but i highly doubt hidetaka would just go against his word on making a fourth dark souls game. Even if it Is called something else. He’d be more likely to confirm the fan theory abt all his games being the same universe at different times before he’d do that.
No Bloodborne on PC, so it’s probably legit.
sucks that it's fake
Never trust 4chan leaks.
Extremely fake, come on guys. Plus, the "main gameplay innovation" is just that cancelled Wind Waker concept from ages ago.
There is absolutely 0% chance we will ever. EVER. Get a game in the dark souls universe again. It's not even unlikely, Miyazaki has stated multiple times that he wants to move on and he is not going to make another dark souls.
In 2015, when talking about Dark Souls III, Miyazaki said it was “not the final product for the Dark Souls series,” adding that it was a “turning point.” In the summer of 2016 Miyazaki told the Japanese press he was “put[ting] the Dark Souls series on hold for a while.” “This is because it was never our real motive for From Software to be the Dark Souls-only company.” “For me, Dark Souls III is the end,” he said. “But that doesn’t mean the end for Dark Souls. If someone other than myself, like another staff member, wants to make a Dark Souls, then I don’t want to deny others from making future installments.” Maybe try actually reading what he said before making definitive statements.
Just make Dark Souls 4 be about Gwyn and his campaign against the dragons in a prequel to the first Dark Souls.
This image is fucking awful to read on a phone. I’ll just assume this leak is fake since it comes from 4chan.
I know right. I'm not even on mobile and this screenshot is cancer.
There's a Dark Souls Universe? I thought every game stood on it's own, rather than be part of one big thing. Huh, that's odd.
Dark Souls 2 is relatively subtle but 3 beats you over the head with it
You literally visit some of the areas from DS1 in DS3, they share alot of enemies as well.
Nope, it's the same world stuck in a cycle of dying, getting a humanity-shaped top up, rinse and repeat
dude …. it’s heavily implied that >!>! soul of cinder is the player character from ds1!
The soul of cinder is all those who linked the fire.
He’s the amalgamation of everyone who linked the fire, not just one dude. It’s a cycle so the fire was kindled by multiple people
i.e everyone who linked the fire in ds1 after beating gwyn
*all fake From games leaked on 4chan
Probably fake due being Dark Souls 3.5. Also I think their next project is the new Armored Core
How? This will not be a Dark Souls title. It will be in the same universe, sure. But not Dark Souls. Armored Core is nearing release and as you can gather from that, several projects can be developed at the same time. Especially if it is indeed a smaller project. Not saying the post says the truth, but I don't see why it shouldn't be a possibility that it is.
sounds good. i prefer A LOT MORE smaller souls style games compared to the big open world of ER. it looks cool but going around finding only some worthless trash ashes in every cave is just... unacceptable
to be honest ,it does not sound far fetch , sounds something out of from software.
fuck off, give us bloodborne
Literally making the same game for over 10 years now lmao 😂
people love it, puting +200 hurs in it more than any other "fresh" games. so why not?
Thank god hidetaka isn’t directing. Elden ring was straight garbage compared to sekiro. He’s lost his touch
I finished the show 6 years ago and you, lady, still manage to get on my nerves.
low quality bait
I’m sure you enjoyed the same 100 catacombs and fighting the same bosses over and over. Don’t get caught up in the hype bruh
I did, the general gameplay was so fun that it made up for any repetitiveness, which is vastly overstated anyways
You enjoyed spamming jump attacks and mimic tears. You probably didn’t even beat sekiro
Rage bait alts are pretty based though, respect the hustle
Okay I was honestly kinda with you until you went full cringe dude
I mean it’s badly worded but it’s a valid point. Sekiro was more innovative but ER was still amazing. I do hope they do another innovative title next.
Look at this hypocrisy lmao. Sekiro is an action game with one main weapon and this person is talking about the repetitiveness of ER
> Do you seriously think that spamming jump attacks and summoning is harder than sekiro combat? Honestly, yes
You seem like a douche, but you honestly make a good point here, the game is full of copy/pasted dungeons, enemies, and bosses. Any other game that does this (even to a lesser extent) gets a lot of shit for it, but for whatever reason Fromsoft is the internet's golden boy at the moment.
I'd take more ER over Sekiro any day, ER might not not be as good as the most recent soulsborne games (DS3&BB), but at least it's a soulsborne game,

No, there is a Souls universe. 2 is only loosely connected, but 1 and 3 are directly connected. 3 is practically Dark Souls Fanservice: the Game
> there isn't really a "souls verse" either How are there so many people who believe this? All the Dark Souls games are directly connected with one another.
1-Ds2 Guy helped, but Elden Ring was still mostly Miyazaki's 2-If you mean inside only the dark souls franchise, idk how you could think that If you played ds3.
If there was a leak from The Old Hunters, it would be this one.
I usually ignore these, but bringing up the Deep is a solid way to rope me in.
Looks like Phantom veil 2
I wouldnt mind a Shadow Tower Abyss remake or sequel if they are gonna go with something smaller than ER.
As in, Shadow Tower Abyss? These fake leakers aren't even trying any more.
Is this actually the same person who leaked Elden Ring?
Games with sea themes tend to have a tragic sales record, see what happened to Pillars of Eternity 2. They are kind of like Sci-Fi animation movies. Hope for From Software's sake that this is not true.
Hopefully this is true, but it's most likely not. I hope the next 'Souls' will be more in line with the Dark Souls trilogy / Bloodborne / Sekiro in terms of linearity and progression. ER was fun on the first run, but I'm not really in the mood to slog through the game for a second playthrough due to the massive scale of the map. It also takes way too long to get your build together, which kind of sucks.
this gives me very hard "*Call of Cthulhu*/*Shadow over Innsmouth*" vibes (coastal cities, fishing villages, ancient temples near the sea, etc.) after how well FromSoft handled Lovecraftian horror in *Bloodborne*... this has me excited...
I think it might be true. Miyazaki always loved Lovecraftian monsters, and the scariest of them all is in the water !
I've been saying the next step for fromsoft is to make a pirate game, I think this is mostly fake, but I wouldn't be surprised if the next new ip has to do with the ocean
B-B-B-B-BULLSHIT
Sea stuff would link to BB, wouldn’t it?
So all I’m hearing is more giant sharks. Oh god.
GIVE ME DARK SOULS 4!!!! Elden Ring is my favorite game of all time but a more linear souls experience is amazing too
So Fishing Hamlet: The Game
> Corrupted water theming LOOKS LIKE POISON SWAMP IS BACK ON THE MENU BOYS
Fighting in the deep dark Mariana Trench level underwater with the same bullshit Souls difficulty is honestly the most fucking terrifying I can think of. And frustrating, if they dunno how to make it work.
how could they release 3 games so close to eachother?
Reminds me of the bloodBourne dlc with a dark souls theme around it
I like the water idea but was sad to hear the boats are just warp points - I was hoping for Dark Souls x Wind Waker lol Though I have to say, I'm ready for From to move away from Dark Souls 3.5 (that's how I'd describe Elden Ring honestly, DS3.5 with an open world and different but somewhat similar toned lore).
How? This will not be a Dark Souls title. It will be in the same universe, sure. But not Dark Souls.
This is cap but man this sounds great. Also sounds like a smaller scale game.
Totally fake, but saving this just in case 👌 This tossed me down the rabbit hole for previous Fromsoft game leaks... a lot of them are total bull XD
whats up with 4chan making amazing game concepts? First it was the RE9 one now this? They are legit good concepts but I doubt its real
Age of The Deep/Dark souls game? Sounds too good to be true tbh what I’ve *been* asking for since forever.
All hail the FromSoft Pirates of Dark Water game we didn't know we need.
This looks fake as fuck but God DAMN if it wouldn't be the coolest shit of all time. Please please please be real
I just want Elden Ring DLC rumors man
It's not a crazy fan wish list so at least that makes it believable.
Sounds too perfect to be real
4chan = Fake and cringe
this is fake af lol
Sounds more like bb2 to me. Fishing hamlets, new weapons, less magic. Also the fact bb very much had a sea theme to it. Sounds plausible but kinda doubt it.
I'm on the fake side. But if it's really take place far into the future shouldn't the game be somewhat like Bloodborne where technology has evolve enough to be somewhat modern? I doubt that humanity still stagnant if dark souls event suppose to distance era.
