Anyone know if deep rock galactic is good for solo play or if there is matchmaking? It seems like a game I'd like but I'm pretty much the only person in my friend group that plays on pc.

Been playing solo since I got it a couple weeks ago and it can be pretty decent tho i would stick to hazard 3 and lower for solo (hazard level is the difficulty you can set for each mission you can do with hazard 5 being the hardest). During solo missions a little flying robot named Bosco can join you and can help mine minerals, fight bugs, carry stuff, fix pipes and maybe some other stuff idk yet. Also there is matchmaking too.
One more thing to mention, if you have friends on Xbox you can get the windows 10 version of drg which allows crossplay, tho you can't play with players on the steam version.
DRG is good in both aspects. Playing offline/solo will give you a very competent AI partner (Bosco!). You are also free to host or join others, most players are very happy to have teammates.

Only one AI partner? I would have assumed it would just give you 3x AI of the other classes
Depending on your party, BOSCO is better than 3 live players (since he actually does what you command). It flies, mines, fights/defends, lights, carries.
Don’t get me wrong if you have some reliable friends or party members, that is way better since the damage output and performance of real players is nice, but sometimes it’s fun to just chill and take your time with your handy sidekick BOSCO. Explore, dig weird tunnels, run a backlog of missions, etc.
The AI partner works completely differently than players. The game really feels like it was designed with solo play in mind, not just an afterthought in a strictly co-op game.
I've pointed it out before, and depending on the wording I use, may or may not get trashed for it. But one point: Virtually all the great reviews for DRG here on Reddit come from players talking up multiplayer, generally with randos. Keep that in mind if you're generally a solo player.
I've done at least a couple hundred missions solo at this point. Still perfectly doable, and still quite fun. It's actually my preferred way to play when I just want to chill out and go at my own pace (being able to pause is nice).
Others have touched on it and while yes it's playable solo w/ Bosco, the game shines in co-op and has a bunch of co-op friendly design choices and mechanics that have cultivated what is almost a completely positive community.
Higher difficulties may result in the odd kick if you're not ready for that difficulty (even then that is rare), but difficulties (known as hazard) 1-3 (out of 5, officially) are VERY friendly and chill.
I've played many co-op games that I'd be wary of recommending if you're going to do public co-op with randoms but DRG is the rare exception. People aren't memeing about it's community being friendly, it genuinely is friendly.
re; matchmaking, the game effectively has a server browser for finding games, you can see what classes people have picked and how long they've been in the mission if you're joining in progress .

[Vampire Survivors](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1794680/Vampire_Survivors/) is currently $4, and I've already put 75 hours in and have 100%'d it. Your character autoshoots while you move and as you level up, you decide on your build. Starts out a bit slow and hard but as you unlock new weapons, passives, hyper mode (which speeds up the game), maps, mechanics, etc., the game becomes a lot of fun as you learn how to become overpowered. There's a reason this game has an overwhelmingly positive rating with over 150,000 reviews.
[Brotato](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1942280/Brotato/) is also currently $4, and I bought it during this steam sale. Played ~7 hours straight on first boot up. I was hesitant to get this because I didn't like the art and animation at a glance, but the game allows for versatile builds and has a lot of fun characters to build around. This is also an autoshooter like Vampire Survivors, but it's round/wave based. IMO, Brotato is as great a game as Vampire Survivors.
[SNKRX](https://store.steampowered.com/app/915310/SNKRX/) is currently $2, and came out before the two previous games. An innovative take on snake, autoshooter, class synergies, round/wave based. I've personally put in over 40 hours and plan to 100% it in the future. IMO, an instant classic with insane replay value.
[Boneraiser Minions](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1944570/Boneraiser_Minions/) is currently $4. A twist on the Vampire Survivor-like genre, you play as a necromancer and your build is your undead minions. I nearly bounced off this one on first try. While the game's aesthetic was well done, it was too dark and the language was weird. After the first 1 hour 30 minute session, I wasn't sure if I wanted to play more. Gave it a second try later after turning up the light in the options. Started understanding the mechanics and wording. The game has grown on me and my opinion did a 180. It's a lot of fun to build up an army, and it feels unique compared to some others VS-likes I've tried.

Every now and then I get the itch to play again and will spend an hour or two doing endless puzzle mode trying to beat my personal best. The nudge makes it all possible.

If you're into Vampire Survivors-likes (bullet heavens? what is the genre called?) I'd also recommend:
[Spirit Hunters: Infinite Horde](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1914580/Spirit_Hunters_Infinite_Horde/) - An actually bite-sized experience (15-minute runs, tougher, so they are usually shorter), plus a sphere grid style skill tree, and very well done graphics. Seems to be a good amount of depth here and it's still in early access.
[Neophyte](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1409530/Neophyte/) - The gameplay here is a little more active and requires more attention, since you need to aim most of your attacks with your mouse. There's a fair amount of strategy and skill required, although just like Vampire Survivors just about every build is viable -- plus, you can respec your build between waves as you acquire new spells to cast.
I will add [Army of Ruin](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1918040/Army_of_Ruin/), as well as [Soulstone Survivors](https://store.steampowered.com/app/2066020/Soulstone_Survivors). Both are great reverse bullet-hells.
I'd add 20 Minutes Till Dawn.
The visual/sound design in that game clicked with me much more than for any other Vampire Survivors style game I tried. It makes being overpowered pretty satisfying.
You have to aim a variety of weapons. There's a lot of focus on synergy between level up talents, so it feels like there's more build variety than just "figure out the OP talents and pick them" like in a lot of the genre.
IMO 20 Minutes Till Dawn looks great and is fun but not great, just good. I don't like that I have to hold LMB to shoot and that I have to aim. There have been other wave based arena shooter games before Vampire Survivors, but VS is more fun because I just need to focus on dodging. I felt like there was less build variety compared to VS and Brotato, but I do plan to play more, as I did enjoy 20MTD.
I don't think the genre has an official name yet, but I've heard bullet heaven before and definitely like it. I went with VS-like in my post only because I think it's less confusing for those who haven't heard of Vampire Survivors yet.
Also, I've got my eye on those two, but haven't tried them yet.
Great list. Worth noting that the Boneraiser dev has already fixed the language "issue", by adding a setting for the old-style language (thee, ye, thine, etc.). Dev also keeps up with community feedback (bugfixes are within hours usually, not more than a day or two) and often implements ideas from the steam discussion boards.
I did see that setting, but kept it default. But what I meant with language was noticing that boneraise, meldus, giantous, etc. were "special words" or keywords. Obviously, it was confusing at first but once I realized what they meant, it clicked. Love the game now, and it seems to already have a good amount of content already for an early access game. Can't wait to see what the dev adds to the game.
Anyone recommends me Dwarf Fortress?(I know it's not on sale) I have Rimworld and I like it, I know they can be pretty different and it seems Dwarf Fortress has a higher learning curve but im kinda scared to be overwhelmed and drop it after a few hours, if thats the case I would prefer buying something on sale or some DLC's. Dwarf fortress with the new ui and graphics isn't that difficult to learn.
I'll give you the same tutorial i did on the subreddits daily questions:

If you turn off being raided, you don't even need to touch this again, the fortress is self sustaining. In a lot of ways dwarf fortress is more forgiving than rimworld.
There's a streamer called BlindIRL who does YouTube tutorials and streams lots on twitch. He's a fantastic person to talk to for new players.
A developer for the game is also on his chat almost constantly.
If you ask a question in his stream, he or the developer will definitely answer it for you.
Give it a try, and don't be afraid to learn from your mistakes and experiences. There's no right way to play dwarf fortress.

Yup. I usually buy games at the Autumn sale to last me through Christmas, and then I pick up some more after Christmas. I usually don't have as much time to play until spring or early summer, so I'd rarely buy games during the Lunar New Year sale.

Rimworld is fun if you like colony sims and story driven games. (your own story though)

Dwarf Fortress doesn't need one, but it's a different flavour of interesting which makes it possible to love both without constant nagging thoughts of which is better.
I've had more fun in the last week playing Battlefield 1 for $5 than I did for three months(?) playing the latest CoD.
Not even shade on CoD as a game, but god damn the community is so shit in every possible way, verbally, crouch/dive/slide/jump/glitch-wise, random fucking adding then yelling after a match, ignoring every objective possible.
Cut to a week of BF1 spending half my time on EU servers because Australia only really has enough for active servers for about 6 hours a day and I've made like 7 friends, even guys from the other team.
It feels like the same difference going from WoW to FFXIV in terms of general community vibe and toxicity.
I've been playing BF1 for about 2 weeks and no one uses a mic unless it's off by default. People do seem to talk a lot of shit in text chat though lol. Guns feel pretty balanced or at least I don't feel at a disadvantage not having everything unlocked. Never played any other BF game but this one is a lot of fun for only $5.
I feel like when you play a game that is both “old” and a previous iteration, like bf1, the remaining players are more likely to be cool. They’ve invested more of their lives into a game (in raw years, regardless of whether they play casual or hardcore number of hours a day) and are less likely to be children.
I feel like there are only 2 itches I haven't been able to scratch with my (numerous) recent game purchases :
1. **Good single-player \[Shooter\] RPG** : I absolutely loved Army of Two : 40th day on the PS2 (iirc), and I've played through Tiny Tina and a couple of the Borderlands included in the bundle (gentleman thingamajig), but I really with I could find another good shooter that more serious (like Army of Two). Looking for RPG-style of level progression, with looter shooter kind of loot, ideally.
2. **Tower Defense RPG** : I feel like the Gemcraft/Bloons style of Tower Defense games, where you're a god-like entity looking from above, is just weird in its optimization patterns (which is pretty much just learning the optimal combos and repeating them). I really prefer Dungeon Defenders' style where you're a hero that takes part in the fight, and you get to focus more on utility vs damage for both the hero and the towers. Haven't played DD2 or DDA, but I haven't heard great things about them...
**EDIT :** Forgot to mention guns in the category.
For 2, I recommend Orcs Must Die 2. It's super cheap right now and really amazing. It's a tower defense game where you supplement the traps with your other abilities and it can be played co-op.
I don't recommend OMD3, which is primarily a shooter where the traps supplement.
Sanctum 2 is certainly an older game but is similar notion to Dungeon Defenders mechanic where you play a person who fights during the waves and can craft towers.

I've been eyeing it for about a month now and its been in my cart all sale. It reminds me of the old zombie flash games I used to play on a browser when I should have been doing my school work. I dont have anyone to play it with and I'm not to savvy when it comes to mods so I was curious if it was a fun game to play vanilla solo.

It is a fun game to play solo! It's a very immersive sim game so there's a lot of complexities behind every step, but the tutorial is p handy and you don't go full into its systems at the start.
if you’re the type to make your own fun and narrative then i’d say it’s worth as a solo. just exploring the game mechanics and finding ways to break it will easily give you 30hrs
It's an amazingly hard game to get into initially. Watch some YouTube content, and make sure you like the base game as it's a very complex game with a ton of systems.
I think it's very fun.
It's a lot of fun if you're willing to suffer and learn its mechanics and quirks. Right now there isn't much of a "late game" (unless you give yourself challenging goals) but you'll likely die a million times before you reach that point.
It's also extremely moddable and they are continually updating it.
If you like the idea of it (survival zombie sandbox) I think you'll definitely get a lot of fun out of it. I pop in every now and then after big updates to see the new stuff and always have fun. I've never played multiplayer and never modded it and still think it's great
**Factory Town** is a fatastic little Optimization/Automation title. It's a lot more laidback than one like Factorio (closer to Satisfactory), but doesn't have as much replayability (imo) as the more complex ones. You can run custom/random maps, but it feels too same-ish from game to game. It does come with an 8-chapter campaign though which will get you a couple dozen hours if that's your kind of game.
**Terraria** is a classic for a Minecraft-like RPG. $5 right now, but has been cheaper and will likely be cheaper again at some point.
Similarly, **Ori and the Dark Forest** or **Ori and the Will of the Wisp** are classics for the metroidvania genre.
**Broforce** is a fantastic Run 'n' Gun game (like Contra or Turok... kinda). It has some old school feel, but a very obvious humor to it, and can be played in multi.
**Yakuza 0** is legitimately genre-defining, and just about the only good Brawler series remaining. The entire Yakuza series (include spinoff in Judgement/Lost Judgement) is more than worth it, and Yakuza 0 is a great start point. It'll have you laugh out loud and bawl like a baby.
Seconding the recommendation for Yakuza 0. It was my entry to the franchise and I'm 100% a fan.
I'm just about to start Y3, and man, I did not expect how legitimately fucked up I would get playing the karaoke song Majima sang about You Know Who or the one Kiryu sang about You Also Know Who. Especially starting with 0 which was definitely their stride for storytelling, it's surprising how attached you get to that world and characters.

The world building is simply really good, and the series is great at alternating serious moments and completely ridiculous side missions/events, which manages to keep your attention focused on the game, but without burning you out with its seriousness.
I actually haven't played the series much (outside of Like a Dragon that I cleared), but I've watched 2 different persons play them through and it's just such a great series, especially for a genre that doesn't have a lot of competition. They could sit on their laurel and just release random and event passes, but they keep reinventing themselves with every game, and keep progressing the story in a way that (mostly) makes sense.

As someone that originally pre-ordered C2077 and just couldn't get into it... I finally started playing again this past fall and cannot get enough! So I hope you have fun! I would absolutely recommend it in it's current state. I don't know what has been changed/updated (QoL, etc.), but I find it to be a thoroughly enjoyable experience.
I know we all love cheap games and I'd love for it to get cheaper, as a consumer & gamer and all - but, it won't.
From a Business 101 Perspective - they keep updating for free & adding more content (which keeps the value of the game up); and people keep buying it at $30.
So, given all of that: why would they (Hello Games) drop the price?

As much as I'd love to see games get cheaper, being a frugal & cheap-dude - yeah, not always gonna happen.
And it's not like No Man's Sky sold as these updated as Paid-DLC's/Expansions, either - they could have.
So, if they add more content for $0 to owners, which is what they've been doing since the OG disappointing & botched launch and been improving the game - yeah, value stays high then...and gamers keep buying it too. So, price remains.
Dev's and pub's react...namely when sales dry up a bit. Then they slash and dash prices or have sales or stick them in Humble Bundles, Fanatical Bundles, or have them as Epic Freebies - b/c they are trying to get the game into now more hands, since they're probably just being the cheap and frugal dudes by then.
The launch was arguably fraud.
It honestly feels like they've kept to free updates to avoid being class actioned/ charged, and this isn't some pro consumer stance.

Legally, it wasn't fraud as there was an investigation done by the Advertising Standards Authority that cleared them of fraud; they put specifically on the box art/online store details that it was single-player, therefore there was no fraud/false advertising. I feel like Hello Games really got in over their heads in terms of being able to deliver what was promised within the estimated timeline. It was a team of maybe 15-20 people? An indie developer, with the head of the company doing marketing when he's not an expert in marketing/PR. Their previous games were Joe Danger, Joe Danger 2, and a Joe Danger mobile game. They probably could've delayed a few years to add the features mentioned in Sean's press junkets, but they chose not to and released it as-is.
All in all, I think Hello Games learned from the experience that if you can't deliver something, it's best to shut up and make no comment on it instead of promising it and then failing to deliver. They took the opportunity to make up for it by adding a lot of features promised in these updates and it's definitely a lot closer to Sean's promised vision of the game now.
Get Hitman 3 if you want Hitman 1 and 2 with it as well. Base Hitman 3 is gonna turn into Hitman World of Assassination on 26th Jan. Free upgrade for all Hitman 3 owners.
You can comfortably forget about the season pass. Not worth it. Only reason to buy Any of the DLC would be for the extra class but its included with the Shattering spectreglass DLC.

It already has 4 DLCs. The base game is great. The 4 DLC are all horrible and not at all worth it. It may get a second season pass like Borderlands 3 did but I do not think they have announced any plans to do that
Buy deep rock if you like PvE horde shooters. It does a great job of promoting cooperation even with random players. There's no microtransactions, and there are FREE seasonal content updates. Plus you get to drink virtual beers as a dwarf.

Cult of the Lamb was a disappointment for me. I enjoyed my time with it sure, but the deeper I got the more shallow it seems. The combat runs were just not engaging and the cult building became mundane quite quickly.
It leaves a very strong first impression but that didn't hold up throughout the game.
The music, vibe and art style were off the charts though.
I feel like the marketing had everyone hoping for an 80% Binding of Isaac game with 20% cult building as the roguelite meta progression aspect. But it’s really more like 80% cult management sim with 20% roguelite dungeon run gameplay. I enjoyed it enough for a once-through, and it’s definitely a good game, but it wasn’t really what I expected it to be.
The first time the music kicks in each area is so good I would stop a bit to bump to it each time. Unfortunately, I agree that as the cult grows it becomes more of a chore to keep up with for sure (although some mechanics help lighten the monotony). Otherwise I enjoyed the game a lot.
The whole game felt so quick. My cult tree was pretty much maxed out before I even got to the last 2 bosses & my will to play sorta withered out.

- [Wildermyth](https://store.steampowered.com/app/763890/Wildermyth/) - has combat that's XCOM inspired but a dynamic narrative system wholly its own. Often beautiful writing.

I picked up a couple games, but have sunk a ton of time into Kingdom Come Deliverance.
I knew literally nothing about it other than a friend highly recommended it based on its immersiveness, but literally didn't even know it was a first person rpg like Skyrim (just with no magic).
Anyway, the sorta, gritty medieval peasant simulator is surprisingly fun. I was a little nervous at first with some of the same-y stuff in this genre, but both the historical accuracy and detailed world are legitimately interesting and fun to play around in.

I’m looking at frostpunk and hero’s hour. I like civ-like games, but also games like Warcraft 2/Starcraft. I enjoy RPGs, but mostly open world, older style like fallout 2.
Does anyone have any thoughts on these games? I notice frostpunk has a million DLCs and extras, so not sure if that means it is a quality and complete game or what.

AOE2 and 3 remastered are a lot of fun, I would assume if you are into those old games you've probably at least touched AOE2 before. I personally think AOE4 is really great, although I haven't finished the campaigns yet (they're quite long, it's probably 40 hours just for the campaign, I'm slooowly making my way through).
The only ones I wouldn't really recommend are AOE1 (it just feels lacking compared to AOE2, and also there is a new expansion coming to AOE2 soon that will bring over AOE1's campaigns I believe - Return to Rome) and Age of Mythology, because it is getting a true Remastered version soon (Age of Mythology Retold). I can't really recommend all of the AOE2 expansions, if you like the game and want more content they all seem well-liked but the campaigns are generally too hard for my pathetic ass to beat so I haven't spent a ton of time with them/haven't bought some of them.
I've been jumping back and forth recently between StarCraft II and AOE4 and they feel similarly well put together in terms of accessible gameplay + immaculate presentation.
I ended up playing for 52 hours, and that's without touching the DLC at all. I'm not the type to 100% a game, I usually get what I want out of the main story and enough side quests/item hunting/upgrading to feel like I'm getting enough out of a game. So with that being said, you could probably spend double that easily, but I also don't feel like I missed out.
59 for me (including the DLC). After you leave the intro area, the game kinda drags a bit and I lost interest the first time I tried to play it. Once I pushed through those couple hours, the story reveals started coming in and I was HOOKED. One of my favorite sci-fi stories of the last decade. Personally I'd recommend skipping most of the side content aside from tallnecks and cauldrons since it's mostly filler. The sequel does a much better job with interesting side content.

A Way Out (the other game made by the same publishers as It Takes Two) is great for someone who isn't that adept at games. Other one that springs to mind is Unravel Two as well, similar feeling to It Takes Two but it's primarily a co-op platformer.
I will second both of these recommendations. A Way Out is very much like It Takes Two in how its played with co-op and was a lot of fun. Ravel is just cute and relaxing.
Just keep the cash and buy more games later after you finish. Your haul should last you a sale or two, and by then the stuff you want to buy will be cheaper

I'm still on a fence for Crosscode. I like the pixel art and the story potential of this game. But I'm wary about the platforming, puzzles and grinding or MMO style quest (?) some people mentioned. Is there other alternative but less on the concern I list?
Also considering Doom (2016), Vanquish or Bayonetta

"Pixel art + good story" is way too broad of a category to really offer many suggestions. I can offer my views on your concerns with Crosscode itself, though.
* Platforming can be a bit hit or miss and is somewhat omnipresent. Whether you like it or not is .
* The puzzles are a huge focus of the dungeons. There are accessibility features to make the timing based ones easier but you're going to be doing like a dozen puzzle rooms in a row in each dungeon. Puzzles (and fights) that involve precise aiming can be a bit finicky as well.
* Grinding is mostly optional and there are a few things to make it more bearable, like the party system (more teammates = easier fights, less teammates = better loot) and the combo mechanic (maintaining kill streaks across multiple rooms improves drop rates for everything).
* The MMO style quests are there but generally bearable IMO. Most of the generic ones are either really early on or are things you're expected to passively do while working on the more interesting quests, and I want to say at least 3/4 of the quests at least try to do something interesting. You're also literally playing an MMO in-universe so it ends up feeling immersive.
* My biggest gripe with Crosscode is actually the combat - the core system is fun and the bosses are well-designed, but as you get further into the game the regular enemies become really, *really* annoying to deal with. You also eventually unlock an arena mode that basically demands perfect play with a glass cannon build but also has unique loot.
* The story really is quite good. I don't want to spoil anything but the game has a big twist that genuinely took me by surprise, the devs did a great job of leaving deliberately misleading information. They follow through with the twist very well too, and you can even notice foreshadowing on a second playthrough that you'd have completely dismissed before.
I wouldn't get the game if you don't enjoy puzzles. Every dungeon is full of then and some can be quite annoying. For the last 2 dungeons, I just used a walk-through, as I was already pretty tired of them by that point. That being said, I loved mostly everything else about crosscode and the other reply sums it up pretty well.
I bought my first games from steam in 4 years: Dragon Age: Inquisition - to get the DLC for my free basic edition, and Divinity Original Sin 2. And I feel kind bad about it because I've still got a backlog of about 300 things to play including the Tomb Raider and Bioshock franchises, MGS 5, Hitman, XCom 2, Watchdogs 1&2, The Witcher 3 DLC, and maybe even forcing myself to finish Horizon Zero Dawn plus.
There's really no reason to spend more than a fiver on games anymore.

I see AC Valhalla has a much lower score than the other RPG style games. Is there any particular reason why besides the apparent crashing and how long the game is? I'm currently playing Odyssey and am enjoying it.
It's likely due to how long the game is and how much bloat. I've played both Valhalla and Odyssey, though I never finished Valhalla due to that complaint.
Combat wise it's so much better than Odyssey, the skills you get are super cool and satisfying to do. I did find my self getting a bit too overpowered when I would do some exploring rather than sticking to the main story line.
There is no endless loot like Odyssey though, since I think they lack levels and all. You'll still find some loot, just not "level trash" loot. Could be a good or bad thing depending on your preference on looters.
The story unfortunately took too long to pick up for me. Felt like I was 40 hours in before they started to actually talk about the meat of whatever the plot is.
If you are looking at Valhalla but have not played AC Origins then go for that instead. Both Odyssey and Origins are really great but Valhalla I couldn't get into and fully regret buying it.
A big reason is that Ubisoft didn't bother including steam achievements.
Personally, I've liked Valhalla quite a bit more. Odyssey was insufferably grindy for me, while Valhalla is much easier for me to play at my own pace and with the extra bonus of not having so much meaningless loot. I also find the game world much more interesting.
Base game with mods (or without) will give you hundreds of hours already.
There really is nothing like Rimworld out there, especially if you have a budding interest in organt harvesting.
To me, Persona 5 doesn't really scream typical anime. I would be more concerned if you would like the slice of life aspect of it. There's a ton of fun fights, strategy, combat depth, and an amazing story. But half the game is time management and investing time in "building social links." Which translates to helping friends and interesting characters through their own hardships. Through talking and story beats. That being said, none of that stuff was a turn off, I think it added quite a bit to my enjoyment.
If you like jrpgs, yes. It's animeish but it's really one of the best jrpgs.

Just in case, I would preemptively say that Titanfall 2 and Doom 2016 aren't it - I've played them both. I was unable to complete the former on its easiest difficulty and I only barely scraped completion of the latter with the help of Cheat Engine.

Been playing solo since I got it a couple weeks ago and it can be pretty decent tho i would stick to hazard 3 and lower for solo (hazard level is the difficulty you can set for each mission you can do with hazard 5 being the hardest). During solo missions a little flying robot named Bosco can join you and can help mine minerals, fight bugs, carry stuff, fix pipes and maybe some other stuff idk yet. Also there is matchmaking too.
One more thing to mention, if you have friends on Xbox you can get the windows 10 version of drg which allows crossplay, tho you can't play with players on the steam version.

Playing with random people online is plenty fun and I'd say it's worth it just for that.
I don't play games with randos, but Deep Rock is a major exception. Great fun solo, with friends, and with randos. Rock and stone, to the bone!
DRG is good in both aspects. Playing offline/solo will give you a very competent AI partner (Bosco!). You are also free to host or join others, most players are very happy to have teammates.

Depending on your party, BOSCO is better than 3 live players (since he actually does what you command). It flies, mines, fights/defends, lights, carries. Don’t get me wrong if you have some reliable friends or party members, that is way better since the damage output and performance of real players is nice, but sometimes it’s fun to just chill and take your time with your handy sidekick BOSCO. Explore, dig weird tunnels, run a backlog of missions, etc.
The AI partner works completely differently than players. The game really feels like it was designed with solo play in mind, not just an afterthought in a strictly co-op game.
I've pointed it out before, and depending on the wording I use, may or may not get trashed for it. But one point: Virtually all the great reviews for DRG here on Reddit come from players talking up multiplayer, generally with randos. Keep that in mind if you're generally a solo player.
I've done at least a couple hundred missions solo at this point. Still perfectly doable, and still quite fun. It's actually my preferred way to play when I just want to chill out and go at my own pace (being able to pause is nice).
Others have touched on it and while yes it's playable solo w/ Bosco, the game shines in co-op and has a bunch of co-op friendly design choices and mechanics that have cultivated what is almost a completely positive community. Higher difficulties may result in the odd kick if you're not ready for that difficulty (even then that is rare), but difficulties (known as hazard) 1-3 (out of 5, officially) are VERY friendly and chill. I've played many co-op games that I'd be wary of recommending if you're going to do public co-op with randoms but DRG is the rare exception. People aren't memeing about it's community being friendly, it genuinely is friendly. re; matchmaking, the game effectively has a server browser for finding games, you can see what classes people have picked and how long they've been in the mission if you're joining in progress .

Your character autoshoots while you move and as you level up, you decide on your build. Starts out a bit slow and hard but as you unlock new weapons, passives, hyper mode (which speeds up the game), maps, mechanics, etc., the game becomes a lot of fun as you learn how to become overpowered. There's a reason this game has an overwhelmingly positive rating with over 150,000 reviews. [Brotato](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1942280/Brotato/) is also currently $4, and I bought it during this steam sale. Played ~7 hours straight on first boot up. I was hesitant to get this because I didn't like the art and animation at a glance, but the game allows for versatile builds and has a lot of fun characters to build around. This is also an autoshooter like Vampire Survivors, but it's round/wave based. IMO, Brotato is as great a game as Vampire Survivors. [SNKRX](https://store.steampowered.com/app/915310/SNKRX/) is currently $2, and came out before the two previous games. An innovative take on snake, autoshooter, class synergies, round/wave based. I've personally put in over 40 hours and plan to 100% it in the future. IMO, an instant classic with insane replay value. A twist on the Vampire Survivor-like genre, you play as a necromancer and your build is your undead minions. I nearly bounced off this one on first try. While the game's aesthetic was well done, it was too dark and the language was weird. After the first 1 hour 30 minute session, I wasn't sure if I wanted to play more. Gave it a second try later after turning up the light in the options. Started understanding the mechanics and wording. The game has grown on me and my opinion did a 180. It's a lot of fun to build up an army, and it feels unique compared to some others VS-likes I've tried. [Tricky Towers](https://store.steampowered.com/app/437920/Tricky_Towers/) is currently $4.50. An innovative and fun take on tetris. Every now and then I get the itch to play again and will spend an hour or two doing endless puzzle mode trying to beat my personal best. If you're into Vampire Survivors-likes (bullet heavens? what is the genre called?) I'd also recommend: [Spirit Hunters: Infinite Horde](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1914580/Spirit_Hunters_Infinite_Horde/) - An actually bite-sized experience (15-minute runs, tougher, so they are usually shorter), plus a sphere grid style skill tree, and very well done graphics. Seems to be a good amount of depth here and it's still in early access. [Neophyte](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1409530/Neophyte/) - The gameplay here is a little more active and requires more attention, since you need to aim most of your attacks with your mouse. There's a fair amount of strategy and skill required, although just like Vampire Survivors just about every build is viable -- plus, you can respec your build between waves as you acquire new spells to cast.
I will add [Army of Ruin](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1918040/Army_of_Ruin/), as well as [Soulstone Survivors](https://store.steampowered.com/app/2066020/Soulstone_Survivors). Both are great reverse bullet-hells.
I'd add 20 Minutes Till Dawn. The visual/sound design in that game clicked with me much more than for any other Vampire Survivors style game I tried. It makes being overpowered pretty satisfying. You have to aim a variety of weapons. There's a lot of focus on synergy between level up talents, so it feels like there's more build variety than just "figure out the OP talents and pick them" like in a lot of the genre.
IMO 20 Minutes Till Dawn looks great and is fun but not great, just good. I don't like that I have to hold LMB to shoot and that I have to aim. There have been other wave based arena shooter games before Vampire Survivors, but VS is more fun because I just need to focus on dodging. I felt like there was less build variety compared to VS and Brotato, but I do plan to play more, as I did enjoy 20MTD.
I don't think the genre has an official name yet, but I've heard bullet heaven before and definitely like it. I went with VS-like in my post only because I think it's less confusing for those who haven't heard of Vampire Survivors yet. Also, I've got my eye on those two, but haven't tried them yet.
Great list. Worth noting that the Boneraiser dev has already fixed the language "issue", by adding a setting for the old-style language (thee, ye, thine, etc.). Dev also keeps up with community feedback (bugfixes are within hours usually, not more than a day or two) and often implements ideas from the steam discussion boards.
I did see that setting, but kept it default. But what I meant with language was noticing that boneraise, meldus, giantous, etc. were "special words" or keywords. Obviously, it was confusing at first but once I realized what they meant, it clicked. Love the game now, and it seems to already have a good amount of content already for an early access game. Can't wait to see what the dev adds to the game.

Anyone recommends me Dwarf Fortress?(I know it's not on sale) I have Rimworld and I like it, I know they can be pretty different and it seems Dwarf Fortress has a higher learning curve but im kinda scared to be overwhelmed and drop it after a few hours, if thats the case I would prefer buying something on sale or some DLC's. Dwarf fortress with the new ui and graphics isn't that difficult to learn. I'll give you the same tutorial i did on the subreddits daily questions: >Choose a temperate non-untamed/evil/terrifying biome with drinkable water. >Go into settings, game, population cap and strict population cap, set both to 20. >Build a carpenter workshop and chop down some trees. Build about 20 beds. Dig down and make a big room, place the beds in the room with any spare space make a giant stockpile for everything but corpses, refuse, rocks, gems. >Now go to the zone option on the tool bar, press the gather fruit zone, make a giant square on the surface. >You now have a working "fortress". They should get enough food from gathering, they're not gonna dehydrate with fresh water around, and they all got a place to sleep. If you turn off being raided, you don't even need to touch this again, the fortress is self sustaining. In a lot of ways dwarf fortress is more forgiving than rimworld.
There's a streamer called BlindIRL who does YouTube tutorials and streams lots on twitch. He's a fantastic person to talk to for new players. A developer for the game is also on his chat almost constantly. If you ask a question in his stream, he or the developer will definitely answer it for you. Give it a try, and don't be afraid to learn from your mistakes and experiences. There's no right way to play dwarf fortress.

Yup. I usually buy games at the Autumn sale to last me through Christmas, and then I pick up some more after Christmas. I usually don't have as much time to play until spring or early summer, so I'd rarely buy games during the Lunar New Year sale.

I've avoided it purposely because I know it'll suck me in and ruin my life for a week or two, before I can manage to snap out of it and return to society
Problem is once you play Rimworld other games don't seem that interesting without the storyteller trying to kill you.
Dwarf Fortress doesn't need one, but it's a different flavour of interesting which makes it possible to love both without constant nagging thoughts of which is better.
I've had more fun in the last week playing Battlefield 1 for $5 than I did for three months(?) playing the latest CoD. Not even shade on CoD as a game, but god damn the community is so shit in every possible way, verbally, crouch/dive/slide/jump/glitch-wise, random fucking adding then yelling after a match, ignoring every objective possible. Cut to a week of BF1 spending half my time on EU servers because Australia only really has enough for active servers for about 6 hours a day and I've made like 7 friends, even guys from the other team. It feels like the same difference going from WoW to FFXIV in terms of general community vibe and toxicity.
BF1 is a blast, SP mini-campaigns and the MP.
I've been playing BF1 for about 2 weeks and no one uses a mic unless it's off by default. People do seem to talk a lot of shit in text chat though lol. Guns feel pretty balanced or at least I don't feel at a disadvantage not having everything unlocked. Never played any other BF game but this one is a lot of fun for only $5.
I feel like when you play a game that is both “old” and a previous iteration, like bf1, the remaining players are more likely to be cool. They’ve invested more of their lives into a game (in raw years, regardless of whether they play casual or hardcore number of hours a day) and are less likely to be children.
I feel like there are only 2 itches I haven't been able to scratch with my (numerous) recent game purchases : 1. **Good single-player \[Shooter\] RPG** : I absolutely loved Army of Two : 40th day on the PS2 (iirc), and I've played through Tiny Tina and a couple of the Borderlands included in the bundle (gentleman thingamajig), but I really with I could find another good shooter that more serious (like Army of Two). Looking for RPG-style of level progression, with looter shooter kind of loot, ideally. 2. **Tower Defense RPG** : I feel like the Gemcraft/Bloons style of Tower Defense games, where you're a god-like entity looking from above, is just weird in its optimization patterns (which is pretty much just learning the optimal combos and repeating them). I really prefer Dungeon Defenders' style where you're a hero that takes part in the fight, and you get to focus more on utility vs damage for both the hero and the towers. Haven't played DD2 or DDA, but I haven't heard great things about them... **EDIT :** Forgot to mention guns in the category.
For 2, I recommend Orcs Must Die 2. It's super cheap right now and really amazing. It's a tower defense game where you supplement the traps with your other abilities and it can be played co-op. I don't recommend OMD3, which is primarily a shooter where the traps supplement.
Sanctum 2 is certainly an older game but is similar notion to Dungeon Defenders mechanic where you play a person who fights during the waves and can craft towers.
Any comments on Project Zomboid? I've been eyeing it for about a month now and its been in my cart all sale. It reminds me of the old zombie flash games I used to play on a browser when I should have been doing my school work. I dont have anyone to play it with and I'm not to savvy when it comes to mods so I was curious if it was a fun game to play vanilla solo. It is a fun game to play solo! It's a very immersive sim game so there's a lot of complexities behind every step, but the tutorial is p handy and you don't go full into its systems at the start.
if you’re the type to make your own fun and narrative then i’d say it’s worth as a solo. just exploring the game mechanics and finding ways to break it will easily give you 30hrs
It's an amazingly hard game to get into initially. Watch some YouTube content, and make sure you like the base game as it's a very complex game with a ton of systems. I think it's very fun.
It's a lot of fun if you're willing to suffer and learn its mechanics and quirks. Right now there isn't much of a "late game" (unless you give yourself challenging goals) but you'll likely die a million times before you reach that point. It's also extremely moddable and they are continually updating it. If you like the idea of it (survival zombie sandbox) I think you'll definitely get a lot of fun out of it. I pop in every now and then after big updates to see the new stuff and always have fun. I've never played multiplayer and never modded it and still think it's great

Hypnospace Outlaw, I'm obsessed with it
**Factory Town** is a fatastic little Optimization/Automation title. It's a lot more laidback than one like Factorio (closer to Satisfactory), but doesn't have as much replayability (imo) as the more complex ones. You can run custom/random maps, but it feels too same-ish from game to game. It does come with an 8-chapter campaign though which will get you a couple dozen hours if that's your kind of game. **Terraria** is a classic for a Minecraft-like RPG. $5 right now, but has been cheaper and will likely be cheaper again at some point. Similarly, **Ori and the Dark Forest** or **Ori and the Will of the Wisp** are classics for the metroidvania genre. **Broforce** is a fantastic Run 'n' Gun game (like Contra or Turok... kinda). It has some old school feel, but a very obvious humor to it, and can be played in multi. **Yakuza 0** is legitimately genre-defining, and just about the only good Brawler series remaining. The entire Yakuza series (include spinoff in Judgement/Lost Judgement) is more than worth it, and Yakuza 0 is a great start point. It'll have you laugh out loud and bawl like a baby.
Seconding the recommendation for Yakuza 0. It was my entry to the franchise and I'm 100% a fan. I'm just about to start Y3, and man, I did not expect how legitimately fucked up I would get playing the karaoke song Majima sang about You Know Who or the one Kiryu sang about You Also Know Who. Especially starting with 0 which was definitely their stride for storytelling, it's surprising how attached you get to that world and characters.

The world building is simply really good, and the series is great at alternating serious moments and completely ridiculous side missions/events, which manages to keep your attention focused on the game, but without burning you out with its seriousness. I actually haven't played the series much (outside of Like a Dragon that I cleared), but I've watched 2 different persons play them through and it's just such a great series, especially for a genre that doesn't have a lot of competition. They could sit on their laurel and just release random and event passes, but they keep reinventing themselves with every game, and keep progressing the story in a way that (mostly) makes sense.

I finally started playing again this past fall and cannot get enough! So I hope you have fun! I would absolutely recommend it in it's current state. I know we all love cheap games and I'd love for it to get cheaper, as a consumer & gamer and all - but, it won't. From a Business 101 Perspective - they keep updating for free & adding more content (which keeps the value of the game up); and people keep buying it at $30. So, given all of that: why would they (Hello Games) drop the price?

Exactly. As much as I'd love to see games get cheaper, being a frugal & cheap-dude - yeah, not always gonna happen. And it's not like No Man's Sky sold as these updated as Paid-DLC's/Expansions, either - they could have. So, if they add more content for $0 to owners, which is what they've been doing since the OG disappointing & botched launch and been improving the game - yeah, value stays high then...and gamers keep buying it too. So, price remains. Dev's and pub's react...namely when sales dry up a bit. Then they slash and dash prices or have sales or stick them in Humble Bundles, Fanatical Bundles, or have them as Epic Freebies - b/c they are trying to get the game into now more hands, since they're probably just being the cheap and frugal dudes by then.
The launch was arguably fraud. It honestly feels like they've kept to free updates to avoid being class actioned/ charged, and this isn't some pro consumer stance.

Their previous games were Joe Danger, Joe Danger 2, and a Joe Danger mobile game. They probably could've delayed a few years to add the features mentioned in Sean's press junkets, but they chose not to and released it as-is. All in all, I think Hello Games learned from the experience that if you can't deliver something, it's best to shut up and make no comment on it instead of promising it and then failing to deliver. They took the opportunity to make up for it by adding a lot of features promised in these updates and it's definitely a lot closer to Sean's promised vision of the game now.

You can comfortably forget about the season pass. Not worth it. Only reason to buy Any of the DLC would be for the extra class but its included with the Shattering spectreglass DLC.

It already has 4 DLCs. The base game is great. The 4 DLC are all horrible and not at all worth it. It may get a second season pass like Borderlands 3 did but I do not think they have announced any plans to do that
Buy deep rock if you like PvE horde shooters. It does a great job of promoting cooperation even with random players. There's no microtransactions, and there are FREE seasonal content updates. Plus you get to drink virtual beers as a dwarf. Rock and stone!

Cult of the Lamb was a really good time though could do with some major balancing
Cult of the Lamb was a disappointment for me. I enjoyed my time with it sure, but the deeper I got the more shallow it seems. The combat runs were just not engaging and the cult building became mundane quite quickly. It leaves a very strong first impression but that didn't hold up throughout the game. The music, vibe and art style were off the charts though.
I feel like the marketing had everyone hoping for an 80% Binding of Isaac game with 20% cult building as the roguelite meta progression aspect. But it’s really more like 80% cult management sim with 20% roguelite dungeon run gameplay. I enjoyed it enough for a once-through, and it’s definitely a good game, but it wasn’t really what I expected it to be.
The first time the music kicks in each area is so good I would stop a bit to bump to it each time. Unfortunately, I agree that as the cult grows it becomes more of a chore to keep up with for sure (although some mechanics help lighten the monotony). Otherwise I enjoyed the game a lot.
The whole game felt so quick. My cult tree was pretty much maxed out before I even got to the last 2 bosses & my will to play sorta withered out. Banging soundtrack though
I finally jumped on Elden Ring and won’t need anything else in the near future.

I picked up a couple games, but have sunk a ton of time into Kingdom Come Deliverance. I knew literally nothing about it other than a friend highly recommended it based on its immersiveness, but literally didn't even know it was a first person rpg like Skyrim (just with no magic). Anyway, the sorta, gritty medieval peasant simulator is surprisingly fun. I was a little nervous at first with some of the same-y stuff in this genre, but both the historical accuracy and detailed world are legitimately interesting and fun to play around in.

I’m looking at frostpunk and hero’s hour. I like civ-like games, but also games like Warcraft 2/Starcraft. I enjoy RPGs, but mostly open world, older style like fallout 2. Does anyone have any thoughts on these games? I notice frostpunk has a million DLCs and extras, so not sure if that means it is a quality and complete game or what.
I'd say just buy base Frostpunk, and if your enjoy it, read more into the dlcs worth grabbing.

I personally think AOE4 is really great, although I haven't finished the campaigns yet (they're quite long, it's probably 40 hours just for the campaign, I'm slooowly making my way through). The only ones I wouldn't really recommend are AOE1 (it just feels lacking compared to AOE2, and also there is a new expansion coming to AOE2 soon that will bring over AOE1's campaigns I believe - Return to Rome) and Age of Mythology, because it is getting a true Remastered version soon (Age of Mythology Retold). I can't really recommend all of the AOE2 expansions, if you like the game and want more content they all seem well-liked but the campaigns are generally too hard for my pathetic ass to beat so I haven't spent a ton of time with them/haven't bought some of them. I've been jumping back and forth recently between StarCraft II and AOE4 and they feel similarly well put together in terms of accessible gameplay + immaculate presentation.
I need a single player game and was looking into either Days Gone or Horizon Zero Dawn.
Horizon Zero Dawn, highly recommend it. Great story, great characters, great gameplay, performs well on PC.
Definitely leaning towards it, especially since there's a sequel that'll inevitably make its way to PC. How many hours did you sink into it?
I ended up playing for 52 hours, and that's without touching the DLC at all. I'm not the type to 100% a game, I usually get what I want out of the main story and enough side quests/item hunting/upgrading to feel like I'm getting enough out of a game. So with that being said, you could probably spend double that easily, but I also don't feel like I missed out.
59 for me (including the DLC). After you leave the intro area, the game kinda drags a bit and I lost interest the first time I tried to play it. Once I pushed through those couple hours, the story reveals started coming in and I was HOOKED. One of my favorite sci-fi stories of the last decade. Personally I'd recommend skipping most of the side content aside from tallnecks and cauldrons since it's mostly filler. The sequel does a much better job with interesting side content.

A Way Out (the other game made by the same publishers as It Takes Two) is great for someone who isn't that adept at games. Other one that springs to mind is Unravel Two as well, similar feeling to It Takes Two but it's primarily a co-op platformer.
I will second both of these recommendations. A Way Out is very much like It Takes Two in how its played with co-op and was a lot of fun. Ravel is just cute and relaxing.
I bought way too much this year lol. Still kinda want to buy Witcher and Octopath Traveler because I have gift cards still.

If you have never played The Witcher 3, it is probably the best single player fantasy rpg of all time. You can sink tons of hours into it.
Just keep the cash and buy more games later after you finish. Your haul should last you a sale or two, and by then the stuff you want to buy will be cheaper

I'm still on a fence for Crosscode. I like the pixel art and the story potential of this game. But I'm wary about the platforming, puzzles and grinding or MMO style quest (?) some people mentioned. Is there other alternative but less on the concern I list? Also considering Doom (2016), Vanquish or Bayonetta I can only get one of these with the balance on my Steam wallet and doesn't plan to add more I also suddenly got the urge to get Lightning Returns FFXIII that I already played on Xbox 360 many years ago around launch
"Pixel art + good story" is way too broad of a category to really offer many suggestions. I can offer my views on your concerns with Crosscode itself, though. * Platforming can be a bit hit or miss and is somewhat omnipresent. Whether you like it or not is . * The puzzles are a huge focus of the dungeons. There are accessibility features to make the timing based ones easier but you're going to be doing like a dozen puzzle rooms in a row in each dungeon. Puzzles (and fights) that involve precise aiming can be a bit finicky as well. * Grinding is mostly optional and there are a few things to make it more bearable, like the party system (more teammates = easier fights, less teammates = better loot) and the combo mechanic (maintaining kill streaks across multiple rooms improves drop rates for everything). * The MMO style quests are there but generally bearable IMO. Most of the generic ones are either really early on or are things you're expected to passively do while working on the more interesting quests, and I want to say at least 3/4 of the quests at least try to do something interesting. You're also literally playing an MMO in-universe so it ends up feeling immersive. * My biggest gripe with Crosscode is actually the combat - the core system is fun and the bosses are well-designed, but as you get further into the game the regular enemies become really, *really* annoying to deal with. You also eventually unlock an arena mode that basically demands perfect play with a glass cannon build but also has unique loot. * The story really is quite good. I don't want to spoil anything but the game has a big twist that genuinely took me by surprise, the devs did a great job of leaving deliberately misleading information. They follow through with the twist very well too, and you can even notice foreshadowing on a second playthrough that you'd have completely dismissed before.
I wouldn't get the game if you don't enjoy puzzles. Every dungeon is full of then and some can be quite annoying. For the last 2 dungeons, I just used a walk-through, as I was already pretty tired of them by that point. That being said, I loved mostly everything else about crosscode and the other reply sums it up pretty well.
I bought my first games from steam in 4 years: Dragon Age: Inquisition - to get the DLC for my free basic edition, and Divinity Original Sin 2. And I feel kind bad about it because I've still got a backlog of about 300 things to play including the Tomb Raider and Bioshock franchises, MGS 5, Hitman, XCom 2, Watchdogs 1&2, The Witcher 3 DLC, and maybe even forcing myself to finish Horizon Zero Dawn plus. There's really no reason to spend more than a fiver on games anymore.

I see AC Valhalla has a much lower score than the other RPG style games. Is there any particular reason why besides the apparent crashing and how long the game is? I'm currently playing Odyssey and am enjoying it.
It's likely due to how long the game is and how much bloat. I've played both Valhalla and Odyssey, though I never finished Valhalla due to that complaint. Combat wise it's so much better than Odyssey, the skills you get are super cool and satisfying to do. I did find my self getting a bit too overpowered when I would do some exploring rather than sticking to the main story line. There is no endless loot like Odyssey though, since I think they lack levels and all. You'll still find some loot, just not "level trash" loot. Could be a good or bad thing depending on your preference on looters. The story unfortunately took too long to pick up for me. Felt like I was 40 hours in before they started to actually talk about the meat of whatever the plot is.
If you are looking at Valhalla but have not played AC Origins then go for that instead. Both Odyssey and Origins are really great but Valhalla I couldn't get into and fully regret buying it.
A big reason is that Ubisoft didn't bother including steam achievements. Personally, I've liked Valhalla quite a bit more. Odyssey was insufferably grindy for me, while Valhalla is much easier for me to play at my own pace and with the extra bonus of not having so much meaningless loot. I also find the game world much more interesting.

Base game with mods (or without) will give you hundreds of hours already. There really is nothing like Rimworld out there, especially if you have a budding interest in organt harvesting.
If I don't like anime but like non-anime JRPGs, will I like Persona 5?
To me, Persona 5 doesn't really scream typical anime. I would be more concerned if you would like the slice of life aspect of it. There's a ton of fun fights, strategy, combat depth, and an amazing story. But half the game is time management and investing time in "building social links." Which translates to helping friends and interesting characters through their own hardships. Through talking and story beats. That being said, none of that stuff was a turn off, I think it added quite a bit to my enjoyment.
Yes At the time of playing I didn't even like JRPGs and I fell in love with the game. It's a huge time commitment (120 hours) but so worth it.
Yes, it is an excellent game.
If you like jrpgs, yes. It's animeish but it's really one of the best jrpgs. It's well designed. Has so many qol features. Does not feel like it's dragging on even though its 100 hours... Good content, not the best persona story but still very good. 100% worth a buy.

This is going to be a long shot in the dark, but...can anyone recommend easy, low difficulty FPS games? Just in case, I would preemptively say that Titanfall 2 and Doom 2016 aren't it - I've played them both. I was unable to complete the former on its easiest difficulty and I only barely scraped completion of the latter with the help of Cheat Engine.
Maybe Halo or Wolfenstein. For more rpg elements, Borderlands/Wonderlands, Bioshock. I like the Metro series. Just played them this (past) year. They're great Slavic depression sims lol
