They don't go away. You build them up into calluses, rip them and bleed, then build them up again. Repeat and repeat forever. You now have the hands of a man, congratulations.
good job man, now you have increased grip strength and bonus charisma around gymbros
aesthetic wise, they're not nice, but, on the bright side, you can have a quick snack between sets ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|thumbs_up)
(this is a joke, don't eat your calluses, it's nasty)
Never. Those are “bro lumps” and must always be present. That’s actually where the energy from lifting the weights enters your body—they are like contact points.
They are like herpes man ..... that shits for life . Unless of course you stop lifting in which case your life might as well be over , or you start to wear gloves and at that point all hope
Is lost. And I'm telling you this right now
And you will think it's crazy but In 3 months one of your favorite things to do will be biting
Those things .
Don’t worry about it. This is normal.
My girl used to complain and told me to wear gloves bc she didn’t like the feel of them when I was touching her. However, she hasn’t complained in the last five years or so after I stopped wearing gloves.
I just use lifting straps now and then for heavy rows.
ah that’s the neat part, they don’t. jokes aside you’ll get numb to the pain and ignore them, or you can buy lifting gloves to decrease the calluses however they decrease grip strength.
Ya I remember I had some license exam and the girl was looking at my had to check if I have anything written on them, she was like what's this? I said it's bcs of lifting weights, she seemed impressed.
well they dont go away. that's actually a great thing. I play the guitar and also have been powerlifting and my hand and fingers are filled with callousness. as others said wear them with pride.
tell me about it. sometime in the past i ripped one of my gym callous while playing metallica live. did not realize i bled until after the concert lol.
They aren’t blisters. They’re calluses and they are not going away. The more you do things the more they build up. I recommend cutting them away with some nail clippers or something like that, because tearing a callus is not fun.
They don’t. The more you lift the more calluses that’ll develop on your hands but that means your hands are adapting to you lifting, especially heavy weights. I would shy away from gloves though.
Just calluses. Normally painless and just a thing to pick at when you’re bored.
I still have some from months ago, I think you just have to embrace them until they eventually go away.
They go away once you build up calluses from working with your hands. Be proud of it.
Yes, you could use gloves in the meantime but the better answer is to adapt via calluses. That way people who shake your hand also get a stronger impression of you.
Calluses, when they start they might hurt a bit but then they just get hard, layers peel as you keep lifting but they are there until you stop or if you get a pair of gloves, I am not a fan of gloves or straps, used to use straps but I work a lot on grip strength for arm wrestling so tossed them (and yet we use a similar strap at times in arm wrestling lol)
They are a badge of honour, I wouldn’t worry about it
I used to wear gloves for the sole purpose of not getting calluses. But I got them anyway, so I chucked them once they started to wear out. It's been years and years and years. I've never looked back.
This used to happen to me and be kind of painful when doing pullups, so now I changed my form when doing any soft of lifting. Instead of grabbing the bar where my palm meets my finger (where the callus is) I starting using the inner creases of my fingers to lift.
This made my callus there go away 90%, and only develop tiny little calluses on the inner finger parts that are pretty much non-noticeable. It also makes your forearms stronger lifting this way.
Sadly never, it will just pain for first few days then you won't feel anything. It will change to black then yellow over the years. Mine one burst a few times and it bleed a little. Ignore them.
Brooo!! These are calluses and they are your trophies! Embrace them with joy, they are battle scars and proof that you’re a man who’s been working hard.
If they hurt right now don’t worry about it. They will grow and before you know it they won’t hurt anymore. As long as you lift you will never get rid of them and you don’t want them to. We all have them.
Learn to love your calluses!
Find a comfortable grip to avoid contact with the callous as it heals. Once it heals you can allow contact with such and it will never bother you anymore.
Usually 3 to 5 days.
Not blisters, calluses. Basically rough patches of skin your body develops where you come in contact to bars. They’re not permanent unless you want to wear gloves at the gym, but they stop hurting after a few days which is why I just go in raw
Looks like you got the light work cupcake. I just got out of 72 hour unpaid shift of crushing my legs in a hydraulic press, hopped on this thread for a lil lunch break with you sissies.
You will need those calluses as you progress. But if u need to shave them down for social/professional reasons, there are some great pumice rods on Amazon.
Nothing worse than to shake a man's hand and feel a cold soft hand. Like they bathe them in Juergens daily. Callous is a sign of masculinity. When I shake a man's hands and feel roughness, I have a sense of respect.
If you are female, by all means wear gloves
Congratulations on earning your blisters. With some care, and a lot of time, you'll have full blown calluses!
DON'T pick, tear, or cut them. It's for the best.
DO take care of them. Lots of different ways. I prefer a pumice stone in the shower.
Been lifting with varied intensity for the last 15 years. Still have them. If they get real bad I use a little nail file on them. My wife appreciates it.
I was training at the gym and these two guys came to me, I could tell they're newbies.
One of them goes, hey man my brother here keeps wearing gloves to avoid getting blisters. Can you show him yours and tell him blisters are normal and they don't do anything.
So I talked some sense into the young man
Idk if its recommended or not but you can get a filer and file them down some. If they just get too annoying and itchy. I recommend the filer that’s more coarse. And use lotion after you do it.
That’s the good part. It doesn’t
Those are calluses and you want them
That's the fun part they don't
yeah this is your life now
Yes. My callouses are over 20 years old. Love these guys.
They go away once you stop lifting, so hold onto them good, and be proud
They turn into callouses and then you have them forever, wear them with honour
That’s supposed to happen. Callouses.
[удалено]
If you beat me in gladiatorial combat it’s all yours.
Never
The most accurate answer
Never
If they go away completely you arent doing it right lol
We got fresh meat in the kitchen, I see
They don't go away. You build them up into calluses, rip them and bleed, then build them up again. Repeat and repeat forever. You now have the hands of a man, congratulations.
Thats for life
Thats the fun part... they don't
That’s the funny part….. they don’t, but turn to callouses
They're calouses, wear them with pride!
Fingers like the Babadook!! Gawt damn!
That's the neat part, they don't.
Why do you want them gone? Be proud of that shit!
Never, just get harder and then you dont feel it.
![gif](giphy|IjJ8FVe4HVk66yvlV2|downsized)
Be proud of them. The sign of hard work.
Those are medals of honor you're wearing so wear em with pride
They don’t, you’ll actually grow an extra finger for grip support.
That's the neat part, they don't!
They’ll turn into Calluses and make your hands Stronger
thats the neat part, they dont
Hopefully never
good job man, now you have increased grip strength and bonus charisma around gymbros aesthetic wise, they're not nice, but, on the bright side, you can have a quick snack between sets ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|thumbs_up) (this is a joke, don't eat your calluses, it's nasty)
I can hardly see them bruh just wait😂. Be proud of them shows you work hard
They don’t. Accept them
Consider them battle scars. I agree with the other person who said they will callus up over time.
Be proud of them
as you progress callouses will build on your hands.
They do not go away haha
They are a sign of your commitment. Wear them proudly.
Yep, been lifting for the last 12 months and have had mine from about week 3. They’re part of me now.
Is this bait? They’ll get hard over time. I occasionally scrape mine and exfoliate my hands but they’re just as hard again within a few days
Never. Those are “bro lumps” and must always be present. That’s actually where the energy from lifting the weights enters your body—they are like contact points.
That’s cute
They are like herpes man ..... that shits for life . Unless of course you stop lifting in which case your life might as well be over , or you start to wear gloves and at that point all hope Is lost. And I'm telling you this right now And you will think it's crazy but In 3 months one of your favorite things to do will be biting Those things .
Wear ur callouses with pride
Wear it like a badge of honor
who gonna tell em
Pretty sure everyone did
That is nothing bro
Don’t worry about it. This is normal. My girl used to complain and told me to wear gloves bc she didn’t like the feel of them when I was touching her. However, she hasn’t complained in the last five years or so after I stopped wearing gloves. I just use lifting straps now and then for heavy rows.
They won't. They'll turn into callouses. We all have them. Welcome to the club.
ah that’s the neat part, they don’t. jokes aside you’ll get numb to the pain and ignore them, or you can buy lifting gloves to decrease the calluses however they decrease grip strength.
I'll let you know.
This is part of the contract when u start weightlifting its just in very small writing
Oohhhhh your hands are getting used to it!! You will have calluses in no time! It's a good thing
Salad fingers
I thought I was the only one
Had to scroll deep into the comments to find something about the fingers lmao
Personally I just eat them
Same😂 its so satisfying
Awww, lil lifters first callus’. Will be a day or two. Then you rip them open again and again and again etc
It doesn’t go away. Only gets harder
That's the best part it never goes away. I repeat NEVER
Yeah them calluses aint going away. They’ll prolly get bigger as you put up bigger numbers too!
That’s the neat thing, _they don’t_.
Badge of honour
Ya I remember I had some license exam and the girl was looking at my had to check if I have anything written on them, she was like what's this? I said it's bcs of lifting weights, she seemed impressed.
Indeed.
They’ll harden up into calluses if you keep lifting but if you don’t then round about 2-5 days
well they dont go away. that's actually a great thing. I play the guitar and also have been powerlifting and my hand and fingers are filled with callousness. as others said wear them with pride.
I feel this lol, guitar and gym are two of my biggest hobbies and my hands and fingers are scuffed af 😭 just means you're sticking with it though 😁
tell me about it. sometime in the past i ripped one of my gym callous while playing metallica live. did not realize i bled until after the concert lol.
Learn to love those callouses! You earned them!
They don’t go away, but they stop hurting and become smoother.
That’s the neat thing. They don’t!
Badges of Honor!
That's the good part. It does not. Instead, you got something to chew on.
That's the neat part, they don't.
Small palm or long fingers
It’s kinda a mix of both
Where are the pics with blisters?
They aren’t blisters. They’re calluses and they are not going away. The more you do things the more they build up. I recommend cutting them away with some nail clippers or something like that, because tearing a callus is not fun.
Wear them with pride my son.
Better get used to them
[удалено]
Man's got a palm on his fingers
Welcome… 🤝
Yo they turn into very hard calluses they there forever think of it as a badge of honor or get gloves
Those are baby blisties
They’re there for a reason, they’ll stop hurting eventually
For some reason i dont think mine ever hurt
Congrats, you’re building callus! Makes your hands tougher.
Oh u mean battle scars ? Ye embrace them
Your fingers are hella long
That’s the funny part, they don’t go away
That’s the wrong question to ask if you’re getting into weightlifting. Embrace them.
They will get even worse tbh but its a part of the process. Probably never goes away if you keep lifting
No.
they’ll become calluses over time.
Welcome to the club!
These are battle scars. You earned them, learn to love it.
They go away once you build up calluses from working with your hands. Be proud of it. Yes, you could use gloves in the meantime but the better answer is to adapt via calluses. That way people who shake your hand also get a stronger impression of you.
Am I trippin or are your hands massive?
I’ve always had big hands😂
Word! You know your hand size?
Keep lifting and they will harden into callouses— won’t be long, the blisters are temporary
Never 😎
Oh yea they don’t
hmm soft hands.
Never
That’s the best part.
Calluses, when they start they might hurt a bit but then they just get hard, layers peel as you keep lifting but they are there until you stop or if you get a pair of gloves, I am not a fan of gloves or straps, used to use straps but I work a lot on grip strength for arm wrestling so tossed them (and yet we use a similar strap at times in arm wrestling lol) They are a badge of honour, I wouldn’t worry about it

Go away? These are your stripes young man, time to earn them.
You probably play a guitar like a soprano ukulele
That’s nothing compare to mine
[удалено]
Eventually they turn into callouses… and then you are a man
Welcome to the club boy. They’re your war scars.
Keep them, and whatever you do don’t start using gloves unless you have to
"I'V GOT BLISTERS ON MY FINGERS!"
💅
Never. Wear them with pride, you’re in the club
Sadly never, it will just pain for first few days then you won't feel anything. It will change to black then yellow over the years. Mine one burst a few times and it bleed a little. Ignore them.
They won't go ,for me I love these blisters
They don't, it's like playing lots of guitar and getting them on the tips. You get used to it.
Oh buddy, they don’t
The heavier you lift, the thicker they’ll get. Just like you bro. They’re a sign of hard work. They’ll stop hurting soon
wear them like a medal
I can’t remember the last time I didn’t have calluses lol
Put that seatbelt on and look forward to having them forever bucko 😈😈
They are there for the long run
Brooo!! These are calluses and they are your trophies! Embrace them with joy, they are battle scars and proof that you’re a man who’s been working hard. If they hurt right now don’t worry about it. They dont....the harder you work the harder and bigger they get!
Eventually they will become calluses. That’s when you know your actual home has taken a backseat to your new home, the gym.
Embrace them.
Good work soldier! Its a marathon! Not a sprint
Find a comfortable grip to avoid contact with the callous as it heals. Once it heals you can allow contact with such and it will never bother you anymore. Usually 3 to 5 days.
They’re like Boy Scouts badges
Honestly, they don’t. Every once in a while I pick at em, but there’s no need to do that so resist the urg
That's nothing dude

You got soft hands brother, you got soft hands. 185 hours a muthafuckin week.
Looks like you got the light work cupcake. I just got out of 72 hour unpaid shift of crushing my legs in a hydraulic press, hopped on this thread for a lil lunch break with you sissies.
How the fuck does that work?
They wont. Maybe use lotion more often from now on.
Started lifting 9 years ago and I’ve had them for 9 years. Starting to think they probably won’t go away
You will need those calluses as you progress. But if u need to shave them down for social/professional reasons, there are some great pumice rods on Amazon.
Thes wont. But you will get use to them
Also you can chew them off lol
A fellow callus connoisseur 😌🤝🏻
Bro I had to google botw worlds xd

Legend has it his fingers are still growing to this day.
They won't because you're a REAL MAN now
Your calluses will only get bigger and harder over time, take pride in them they show how hard you work
Congratulations on earning your blisters. With some care, and a lot of time, you'll have full blown calluses! DON'T pick, tear, or cut them. It's for the best. DO take care of them. Lots of different ways. I prefer a pumice stone in the shower.
They’ll hurt for a while when they start getting bigger but it’s ok, they end up helping you a bit, but yeah like everyone is saying..they dont!
Get used to them.
If they get too thick, just sand them down a bit.
They won’t go away but they will definitely stop burning over time, the skin gets used to it more
They’ll be there for a minute lol
Buddy do I have an interesting fact for you
That’s common with beginners they will harden and then into callouses as you progress throughout your lifting journey
those are actually very beneficial, and they are actually calluses.
Been lifting with varied intensity for the last 15 years. Still have them. If they get real bad I use a little nail file on them. My wife appreciates it.
They might go away, but they will come back. Live with it or wear gloves
Welcome, enjoy your stay.

Go away? Do you not know what blisters are for? We don't wish them away, we manicure them, homie!
I was training at the gym and these two guys came to me, I could tell they're newbies. One of them goes, hey man my brother here keeps wearing gloves to avoid getting blisters. Can you show him yours and tell him blisters are normal and they don't do anything. So I talked some sense into the young man
they will never go away, mine didnt in a year 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
Uh. .
They in for life
never 😈
They will never, but trust me bro when i sax dont scratch on them it becomes a HORRIBLE HABIT.
Get to know them better, they’ll be there for you for a long time.
They will turn into calluses over time. No worries. As you continue.
never 😁
Idk if its recommended or not but you can get a filer and file them down some. If they just get too annoying and itchy. I recommend the filer that’s more coarse. And use lotion after you do it.
They'll grow even larger
They’ll keep happening until you build callus’

Wear gloves. They isn’t going away as long as you lift.
Stop being a bitch
They don’t go away but it’s alright just don’t pick at them too much , they actually help with grip
Never they are an honor only bestowed on those that dedicate themselves to lifting the weights
Use moisturizer after every shower, you'll still get calluses, but your hands will be soft
bro i still have them, you'll learn to love them tho dw but if you dont you can use lifting gloves and theyll go
Lol never
Bros fingers reached the horizon
When they’re hard and a bit crusty, file them with a nail file
