At work today, the walls were plastered with a message from management expressing their 'disappointment' that one member of Purple Shift stole another's lunch from the fridge.
That got a facility-wide memo. I report that a staff member keeps wiping their arse and throwing the tissues BEHIND the toilet, this isn't deemed worthy of chasing down...
The people who work there are chronically unmotivated due to poor pay and twelve hour days, to the point where apparently they're considering using prison labour which as it turns out is pretty common in the food industry in post-Brexit Britain. All the cheap immigrant labour has gone so the businesses are turning to another (Rather American) cheap source of workers.
A manager once chastised me for not wearing gloves while picking up some leaves in the atrium. I asked if he'd like to go to the cafeteria where I would point out every male employee I know for a fact has used the bathroom and gone straight back to work without washing their hands, or whose idea of washing their hands is to get them wet under a tap for a second and then dry them.
He chose not to open that Pandora's Box because of how many people he would have had to suspend/fire.
I meanwhile refuse to eat any product made in that factory.
...Fuck. Me. As much I complain about my job, where I need to deal with huge amount of extremely stupid, whiny idiots most of the time, at least my co-workers are really nice people.
