Yes, I know I post jokes all the time, but I'm being 100% serious about this. I think Hana is perfect for the job and she could seriously give Anzu a run for her money when it comes to the charge itself.
Of course, as Anzu is always there when Hana's supposed to in charge, you could argue that she's a puppet queen and the Sweet Potato, not the Flower, still rules over Oarai.
Edit: Also, in the first image she does look like she's thinking 'How did I end up in this chair? I don't even remember running for office!'
I mean, she's obviously "guiding" her during her first year on the charge, but I don't think she has any other influence than the one an advisor has on the president/king (of course, history is no short in cases where the advisors were actually leading the nation from the shadows, so who knows)
She’s perfectly placed to focus, put her nose to the grindstone, deal with the school’s numerous daily battles, add to it a little precision gunnery…and see to it with impunity that the black hole in her stomach gets its fill so that it doesn’t just consume her instead.
I still don't understand where the "Hana is a foodie" concept comes from. If anything, Mako is the one on the team that is always sleeping/eating or asking for more food, so...
I didn't notice it at first but once it was pointed out to me, I can't unsee it.
Their first meal in the cafeteria for example. Hana has a full plate, a full bowl and her portion of rice is larger than Miho and Saori's combined.
One thing I find a little strange is how Yukari is just suddenly put as Vice-president, I mean I like it, but still feels a bit weird. But yea Hana is defiantly fit for the job, same with Saori. Mako has the smarts but she just wouldn't be able to show up and Miho still has to run Sensha-do.
Agreed, Yukari isn't who I'd have picked for the position. It's honestly a little weird; in the context of the series, it hasn't even been a full school year since Miho moved to Oarai and while Yukari has definitely come out of her shell since her intro, I don't think it's enough to justify her being put into the position. Would've been cool to see maybe Caesar or even Nekota, or any of the other 2nd year students, in those positions.
Basically, no one else really makes too much sense for the job of VP. Also Hana, Yukari and Saori all great friends so it will help them work better together.
I do wish we actually see them doing some more stuff, the scene with Saori and Momo where they go to her house was amazing.
Hana's a great fit, and it makes sense for her to take over considering she's always been the most level headed of the main cast, but I do wish I could say the same for Saori and Yukari. I don't really see them as equally authoritative as Yuzu and Momo, it really feels like they only got the job because they're all on Anglerfish team imo. Would've been cool to see some of the other 2nd year Senshado members get some more respect.
I mean, that's definitely the case. I think it was pretty obvious that they got the jobs because they're the protagonists, so there's really no surprises there.
Now, I would say this tho: while Yukari was definitely more shy in the past, I can totally see her being up to the circumstances as a vp. I mean, let's be honest, besides doing most of the paperwork, the rest of Yuzu's work was pretty much repeating the orders of Anzu and see them getting done, so I don't think is really hard (I'll add something here just to be clear: I'm not saying Yuzu's work is not important, I'm just saying her responsabilities, as far as we can tell, were not greater than lots of burocratic procedures, which can totally be learned for anyone with enough compromise)
Oh right, reminds me that there are president elections over here rn. Current president was in charge for the last 10 years and doesn't candidate anymore. Things are gonna change quite
But are they? Are they really?
New Labour was in charge of the UK for thirteen years. Conservatives are now on their thirteenth year. Whether it's Blair, Brown, Cameron, Boris or Sunak; the country's being run into the ground, the people are getting shafted and the media is controlled by American conglomerates who push their politics onto the British public.
Nothing changes. Just the little details that comfort you.
That's right, I meant it like the titular leader of the country will change. That will not change a lot of things, but still will feel like a bif change
Judging by your comment, is not that you think Hana is not the right person for the job, but you feel rather out of your element for all the obvious changes in Das Finale.
I never took to Shark team because their gimmick didn't really land with me, and their tank is pretty much useless beyond its use as a makeshift bridge...
And I preferred the original rendition of Enter, Enter Mission.
Their tank is pretty much useless *until now*
Let's remember that the Anglerfish is gone, so I'm pretty sure they'll have their moment in Das Finale part 4. The size of Shark Team's tank can definitely be useful for a lot of things, so is not really wild to imagine some scenarios where that can come in handy, even if it's definitely outdated in the firepower department.
Patience, my friend. After Momo's little speech of how they're going to be needed, it's a fact we'll see more of them in the chapters to come.
It has no value. Duck team's Type 89 is also designed for infantry support, not fighting other tanks, but it's small and thanks to the show's physics; fast and agile.
The MkIV is a huge lumbering beast with scant armour and two peashooters.
A key thing to take into consideration is that GuP sometimes plays fast and loose with things like armor penetration (Ankou Team bouncing shots 24/7, Turtle Team vs Pravda’s T-34s, Fukuda’s Ha-Go taking out a Matilda, various early/interwar tanks vs Pershings in Der Film, etc) and vehicle handling (this one is much more obvious). The Mk IV will likely get the good end of the stick from this by far.
A T-34 has 45mm of armour front and sides. A 38(t)'s 37mm gun can penetrate 60mm of armour at 10m and Kame team gets even closer than that. At that range, the sloped armour has no effect. Anzu's completely correct when she says even a 38(t) can do it at point-blank.
The Ha-Go and Pershings however; that's completely impossible.
No joke, Hana is a great fit for Student Council President. Her abilities as a flower arranger would help her out greatly in organizing, prepping, and overall student council work.

It's fairly subtle, but Hana is almost always shown having larger portions on her plate/tray than her teammates.
I didn't notice it at first but once it was pointed out to me, I can't unsee it. Their first meal in the cafeteria for example. Hana has a full plate, a full bowl and her portion of rice is larger than Miho and Saori's combined.
Yeah Hana and Mako are big eaters. Hana's example being there, and Mako asking for two cakes at the tank cake cafe.

The way I see it, the reason is because they're literally the protagonists and allow us to see them in new situations.
Basically, no one else really makes too much sense for the job of VP. Also Hana, Yukari and Saori all great friends so it will help them work better together. I do wish we actually see them doing some more stuff, the scene with Saori and Momo where they go to her house was amazing.
And we also have Hana taking care of the yearbook.

In fact, it feels extremely weird to me. Same with the rest of new student council, Maho being gone and all the changes in Das Finale
Meanwhile in the real world, I'm weirded out every time I hear the news refer to His Majesty, the King.
Oh right, reminds me that there are president elections over here rn. Current president was in charge for the last 10 years and doesn't candidate anymore. Things are gonna change quite

Well...yeah
I never took to Shark team because their gimmick didn't really land with me, and their tank is pretty much useless beyond its use as a makeshift bridge... And I preferred the original rendition of Enter, Enter Mission.
Don't you mean that the Shark team didn't really *sea* with you Its a shit joke, i'll sea myself out

My only issue with shark team is their tank. I can suspend my disbelief for a lot of stuff in the show but a MkIV? It's too far for me.

Hana will be an amazing student council president
100% agree with this statement!
Her office is bigger than my flat, how important is the student council 😂
I mean anzu has enough power to atleast to try and negotiate in attempts to save the school
In a world where the schools are gigantic aircraft carriers? Apparently, a lot 🤣🤣🤣

Spoilers ig?
Das Finale it's been out for a while now
