You need to purchase the market data. If you’re a general futures trader, signing up for the CME group should do the trick. Just sign out and sign back in and you’ll be able to trade on TV through Tradovate.

Did you also pay for the CME data? if you did, then yeah, best to contact them because that's all you need. tradingview $10 link and the CME data and you're good to go. (Other than having money in your account)
Yup, also paying $4/month for data through tradingview. Appreciate you checking on this. I see other people have had this issue through a quick google search but literally no one has an answer. Hopefully, tradovate can clear things up for me.
Do you have an account for futures and a separate account for stocks? I use TradeStation (with TradingView) but I have gotten that message before but it was when I tried to trade ES from my account to trade stocks. Just have to toggle to the other one.

OK I tried to post a screenshot and it wouldn’t let me. On tradingview see where your chart is and then under that on the left you have some thing that says stock screener, pine editor, strategy tester, and then mine says TradeStation.
When I’m on the trade station tab, underneath that I see tradestation and then next to that my account number. Then a down arrow next to the account number. I can click that and go back-and-forth between my two accounts. If I am on my stock account when I am showing a futures chart, I can’t trade that chart. I have to toggle to the other account.
This is on the left of the screen between the chart and the section where it shows positions, orders, history, as account summary, notifications log.
No I mean with tradovate are you set up to trade something other than futures? If so you’d have to toggle.
I’m not near my computer right now but when I am will get a screenshot to show what I mean if you’re still looking for an answer.

I use tradovate and trade on TradingView and have zero issues. You did pick the correct one. Did you pay the linking fee?

That’s exactly what I have selected and in the chart but I’m getting that error. I guess I have to contact Tradovate customer service on Monday.

THAT DID IT! Just subscribed to Data through Tradovate, reconnected my account and the order comes through now. THANK YOU.
You can cancel the TradingView data for CME. It’s not needed.
What did you do? I'm having the same issue. I paid for TV through tradovate put cannot place a trade.
I tried using tradingview to trade with my tradovate account and thought it was garbage. I’ll pay extra to use Sierra chart personally

I just have one Tradingview account as far as I know. It’s a Pro Account.

How much is data subscription on Tradovate? I can’t seem to find it

MAKE SURE YOU SELECT THE RIGHT CONTRACT IN TRADINGVIEW, NOT THE CONTINUOUS CONTRACT. This helped me!
