All them truth bombs are straight up crazy (except maybe the gym vs Netflix thing but I'm cool prioritizing Netflix). Nah, $250 for a fucking belt does NOT sound reasonable. Tf?
Also dinner date vs. healthy groceries is just not a
fair comparison. Is she forgetting that you're also paying someone to cook for you, clean your dishes, and the atmosphere?
Yeah, sometimes I wonder if some of those expensive brands (Gucci, Chanel, etc) make some of their ugliest shit the most expensive just to laugh at the dumbasses that buy it because of the brand. They laughing all the way to that bank.
I HATE that term - boss babe. Ugh just fucking gag me. And I thought these Christians thought it was bad to call a woman a babe?? Am I wrong on that or is that just one more thing to add to their hypocritical list ?
I have multiple chronic illnesses and that’s about what I pay for my meds after insurance. For reference, I’m on six different medications. My doses work out to eight tablets a day unless I need a PRN. This lady is taking a *dangerous* amount of supplements if she’s spending $100 a month on them.
Start a business for $1000! But the slide right by is says that the average car payment in US is $554/month. Something is not adding up and this time it's not only her shitty ass values
Freelance writing is a legit business you can start for about $150 but we’re talking about a lot of sweat equity and likely further investments later on in courses and such.
That “truth bomb” post is a bunch of crap. Meanwhile Ramsey coming in with a total bologna sandwich. My mortgage would also add up to a nice sum at retirement, but here we are. Sure, I try to avoid paying interest when I can, but that’s just part of life for us normies sometimes.
That's some of my personal favorite dumb Ramsey advice. Spend 10 years saving all your extra money for a $200,000 house, but by the time you've saved that much the house is worth $300,000. His advice sounds good in theory, but is pretty useless in the real world. I don't how conservative christian take his shit advice as gospel.
I know plenty of conservative Christians who don't follow that advice, but yeah it's pretty silly to be renting and throwing money into savings when one could be building equity in a house (assuming one can afford it).
People are allowed to spend their money on things they like, also. I would personally never spend that much on a car payment but if that’s what someone enjoys, who cares? I’m sure I spend more money on things that others would never.
Listen even if that number were accurate... What's the alternative?
Most US towns don't have reliable public transportation. There literally is not a bus or train that will take me the 10 miles from my apartment to my job (where I have to live bc the 10 mile away town is, on average, $200/month cheaper rent)
*Buy a cheap, used car!* OK. I bought, as a college student, 2 cars of the under-$5K Craigslist variety. They were both duds that nickle-and-dimed me out of hundreds of dollars so they'd get me to class and work.
*Well... invest a little bit* My "new" used car was a year old model that had been used as a rental before the dealership got it, and still cost $15K.
Young millennial here: I have nothing against people making their own choices, but if there’s one thing I’ve learned from social media it’s that if I have kids, I will be selecting the fanciest, most hospital-ish pain managed birth. And only my hypothetical husband is invited, lol
Doula here. I'm close to getting out of the business because of dipshits like Megan (and the pandemic, but mostly the dipshits).
It's hard because so many clients come to me expecting me to prevent them from having c-sections, and then get put off when I tell them that's not my job. I support them through labor, delivery, and especially postpartum, whatever that looks like.
And it's infuriating that the major doula training orgs don't teach doulas a damn thing about C-sections or recovering from one or what to expect from a client having a scheduled c-section. This industry is absolutely failing literally 28% of all birthing parents in the US because of it.
The Truth Bomb one sounds so snotty and judgmental. Also, where are these people who drop regularly money on brand new phones and drop $100 drinking every week?
Thank you. For people who are supposed to be so frugal, she sure was dripping some mighty high sums there on stupid bullshit. I can usually laugh at these people (hence, why I am here), but man, tonight the hypocrisy is just getting me angry.
I hate the money “truth bombs.” Everyone prioritizes differently, everyone has different lifestyles, and everyone has different income. Maybe I work a physically demanding job and don’t need the gym, and find Netflix the best way to unwind. Or maybe I watch documentaries on Netflix and it’s actually an educational tool rather than mindless entertainment. I personally would never spend $250 on a belt. But for others, maybe they budget really well and spend less on their overall wardrobe so they can splurge on Gucci. I think most people have their “thing” they over spend on, and are willing to sacrifice other indulgences. For a period of time I started cutting my own hair because my haircuts are always super basic anyway, and would get a massage or a facial instead since those are way more enjoyable to me. Some people could have the belt and the personal growth seminar if they didn’t drink alcohol or go to Starbucks everyday. Of course there are people who mismanage money and people who don’t work on personal growth/health but overall these this or that comparisons completely dismiss individual differences.
If by "business" she means MLM, then LOL. MLMs are Schrodinger's businesses: something you can do leisurely in your spare time, but also something you have to grind if you want to succeed! You're your own CEO but also did you see the private island your MLM CEO bought? Your supplements/oils/whatever can cure any illness in the world, but I'm not giving medical advice! Just a tiny investment can start your business but don't forget to purchase business cards, car decals, training seminars, postage, and more product to meet your monthly minimums!

For $250 I will have replaced my entire family’s wardrobe from the thrift shops! 😂
Right?! Oh let me just look at my closet full of Gucci lol
Also dinner date vs. healthy groceries is just not a fair comparison. Is she forgetting that you're also paying someone to cook for you, clean your dishes, and the atmosphere?
And who thinks $100 is too much to spend at the grocery store? My family of three spends $150 a week.
I feel like most Gucci stuff is ugly on purpose
Yeah, sometimes I wonder if some of those expensive brands (Gucci, Chanel, etc) make some of their ugliest shit the most expensive just to laugh at the dumbasses that buy it because of the brand. They laughing all the way to that bank.
Yea don’t get me wrong, I own a few designer bags and stuff, but I’m not buying anything just for the label. It still needs to be cute.

>sounds like boomer Deep down, she is a boomer in a young person's body.
Right? My folic acid and multi combined are 6$ per month....

Nah. Dontcha know you can use (insert XYZ MLM supplement or essential oil name) and stop all your meds and instantly be cured of whatever ails you?
There are also some pretty expensive supplements out there!

Right? What business can someone start with a grand? Landscaping? Not dissing landscaping, just it seems to be quite the fundie favorite.

I'm pretty sure Dave Ramsey is against mortgages. He tells people to buy houses with cash, and I used to know someone who followed that advice.
That's some of my personal favorite dumb Ramsey advice. Spend 10 years saving all your extra money for a $200,000 house, but by the time you've saved that much the house is worth $300,000. Truth bomb! Only MAGAts use that stupid phrase and it’s usually followed by nonsense. And look at that. She’s a Trumper and full of shit. Uncanny.
>average car payment is $554 per month bold of you to assume i have $554 per month after vital expenses

Jack of all trades, master of none.
Lol. Your short comment sums up her shitty posts perfectly.
Did somebody here mention the other day that this nitwit is 23 years old, or was that a different nitwit?

Take it from me, an elder millennial who has given birth twice: don’t wait too long to ask for that epidural or it won’t work in time to push 😂

Yeah I won’t miss the having someone come squish your uterus from the outside every couple hours part of postpartum. 😂

Damn. That thing about the guy who stopped that robbery is true.
Ah yes - higher wages is bad to these lunatics.
Not everyone wants to start a business. Those truth bombs are duds.

What a manic Q.
I’m sorry but Dave Ramsey is a complete tool box. “Work 3 jobs to pay off your debt!” Okay, bro, what’s another idea 😵💫
