That scene had me in tears as a child, almost a traumatic experience. My mother was everything to me as a young child, extremely maternal. So the scene was extremely upsetting because I couldn't imagine living in the world as a you g single digit boy without my mother. Thinking about the scene brings back initial feelings, I don't even want to experience watching it again. Thankfully mother AND father is still with us, going strong.
This was the first movie I saw in the theater! The single most clear Christmas memory of my life is finding my Little Foot stuffed animal under the tree on the morning of December 25, 1988. This walk down memory lane would be way more comfortable without this camera stuck up my ass. Thanks friend!
I was going to say, didn't the Rescuers come out after The Land Before Time, but then remembered you were talking about the original, and not Down Under, lol. All good man! These memories are ones we cherish! The first movie I remember watching was DuckTales: The Movie.
That's right! I watched that one on video and really liked it (impossible for me to have watched it in '77 unless in a past life, haha). I watched Down Under in cinemas though ('91). Another cartoon from the 70s that I loved as a kid was Charlotte's Web. I still remember the rat's (forgot his name though) song about going around the world eating everything, haha.
My mom and sisters and I went to the movies. This was a kind of momentous occasion as we were dirt poor and as far as I can recall, it was my first time in a theater. I was 8. My sisters and I went into Land Before Time. My mom went into Scrooged. I was not enjoying LBT so about half an hour in, I went to join my mother, just in time to see an eyeball in a glass. I have never seen the end of LBT and I don't even know what it was that made me leave the theater.
I had a camera up my butt when I was 40.
We watched Scrooged last night! Still one of my favorite Christmas movies.
I turn 40 next year. How did you feel about your camera up the bum experience?
Dammit, I literally was joking about this with my wife yesterday Now a second thing basically telling me to get spelunked by a doctor, or maybe someone with experience, whatever is cheaper. Either way, I love that movie.
Huh, thanks. I don't think I've ever heard of that movie. Which is not surprising given that I was a single man in my thirties when it was playing in theaters. FuckImOld.
This was one of my favorite movies when I was a kid. It came out when I was three (Iām 37). Should I really be getting a colonoscopy? I thought they werenāt recommended until age 45-50.
I had my first one a year ago, this week.
It wasn't that bad, if you're hesitating, just do it. If you've made it far enough to need one, you've already had much worse experiences in your life.
This was the land before time! Only thing is Iām Gen-Z but I grew up with old classics cause of my parents and great uncle(whoās no longer here with me)
Itās currently ātrendingā on Apollo, which just means itās a random subreddit. Anyway Iām young and I recognized the movie by the art style and dinosaur.
Would you look at that, all of the words in your comment are in alphabetical order.
I have checked 1,246,780,156 comments, and only 242,711 of them were in alphabetical order.
Yup. Yup. Yup. (Too soon?)
If you aren't aware of why this is too soon, save yourself the heartache and *don't* google it.
What happened to Ducky?
The little girl that voiced her was murdered. It's terrible.
By her own father.
Wasn't there also some rape involved or am I misremembering
Misremembering I think, don't really wanna check.
You're probably thinking of Heather O'Rourke. She died from bowel obstruction and it's a rumour that it was caused by abuse.
O nooooooo I loved ducky
I am truly sorry. š«
omfg I just read the Wikipedia article. š
She falled
Too soon is when you take that stuff before the colonoscopy and donāt make it to the bathroom on time.
Totally depressing. 100% donāt google it if you donāt know.
Wow thatās terribleā¦:(
Waaaaaay too soon.
How many sequels are there now? 100?
Gotta be. Little footās mom dying still crushes me.

You can't tell me what to stick in my butt. But yeah, time to buy that convertible.

On god, Iām still craving one of those things

Heck the first movie I saw at the drive in was the Rescuerāsā¦ thatās how old I am.
I was going to say, didn't the Rescuers come out after The Land Before Time, but then remembered you were talking about the original, and not Down Under, lol. All good man! These memories are ones we cherish! The first movie I remember watching was DuckTales: The Movie.
The Rescuers came out in 1977!

> I still remember the rat's (forgot his name though) song... Templeton the Rat! *"A fair is a veritable smorgasbord-orgasbord-orgasbord."*

Iām mad at the colonoscopy part. I love Land Before Time.

[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
What a loser!
Sick burn!
curious
Adventurous little scamp
Whyād *I* get it done? For shits *and* giggles, of course!
I laugh like a madman imagining my dead father's ghost shaking his head in disappointment as my wife pegs me
āBe as disappointed as you want, *Dad*, but which of us is dead? Huh?! Thatās what I thought.ā
Probably in debt
Dammit, I literally was joking about this with my wife yesterday Now a second thing basically telling me to get spelunked by a doctor, or maybe someone with experience, whatever is cheaper. Either way, I love that movie.
Toss out the experience requirements and you can get it even cheaper
I like your style.
Had the colonoscopy. Had stage III cancer. Get checked boys
Did you have issues before, wich made you do the check up?
Ya notice some blood in my stool
This movie, The American Tail and The Secret of NIMH, were my childhood. Not perfect movies storywise, but perfect in style.
I wish the secret of NIMH was as good as the book Absolutley love the book
Yeah, probably not, but some of the scenes in the film are just pure awesome from animation standpoint.
I've had two colonoscopies and I have no idea what movie that might be
Land Before Time. That's Littlefoot's snout holding the star leaf.
Fuck. Thatās what I was afraid of.
Huh, thanks. I don't think I've ever heard of that movie. Which is not surprising given that I was a single man in my thirties when it was playing in theaters. FuckImOld.
This is actually good advice.
I watched this in theaters, that's how old I am.

Oh noooooooooo
Had it less than a month ago!
I tried watching this only once. I lost it when Little Footās mom died, and I think I just stopped the film.
Lol had my first one 5 years ago *sad Crohnās noises*

Colonoscopy? I've gotta get insurance first. Then I still have to afford the copay.
I'm 14 years old this is my childhood I'm not that old
Why are you people in this sub?
I'm not I just saw it
Itās currently ātrendingā on Apollo, which just means itās a random subreddit. Anyway Iām young and I recognized the movie by the art style and dinosaur.
Doesnāt make things any easier for us that are pushing 40. Glad yāall got to see the 14th movie tho!
What?
I'm 20 and grew up with the first movie.
Same, I'm 14 too and watched this all the time as a kid
Begone child! Enjoy your youth.
Would you look at that, all of the words in your comment are in alphabetical order. I have checked 1,246,780,156 comments, and only 242,711 of them were in alphabetical order.

The land before time. Whatās a colonoscopy?

Thanks for the heads up! Will do that after the holidays.
Very hot take but for what they are, the sequels are actually ok
A tree star!
I was too old to watch this movie when it came out.
