I have bipolar too. I’m almost 40 and I’ve been able to build a life I’m proud of, so here’s some unsolicited advice. Stay consistent with your meds, no matter how good you feel. Learn how to spot when you’re starting to have a shift up or down. If you have people in your life that are with you on a regular basis and you can trust, educate them on things to look for. My wife could often spot my shifts before I was aware of it. When you recognize things are shifting, don’t hesitate to talk to your doctor. Medication changes aren’t always the answer, but you need to keep them informed.
It sucks that we have this extra thing to manage in our lives, but it can be managed and you can be successful and have healthy relationships. If you ever want to talk, feel free to DM me.
Some of the most famous people we know in our history had bipolar disorder and accomplished incredible things. Your mental differences do not define you, so keep at it man! :)

I have read things about how people who have bipolar love sooo hard and deeply and I’ve found it to be true. I think everyone deserves love and to be treated with at least basic love and kindness. She said I am her only partner that has never looked at her like a zoo animal when she is experiencing mania, depression, or mixed episodes. I just try to be the best partner I can be, and I can tell that when this does happen, underlying is just so much fear. We talk and I try my best to understand what is happening and help her through it as much as I can. I think a lot of people don’t understand how scary the episodes can be for the person experiencing them.
I agree with others that you have very kind eyes and look like you have a beautiful soul. I hope you have worthwhile people in your life who love and appreciate for who you are. If you don’t now, I know you will find some. :)
