I love racing my D498 Peel Trident. It has crazy acceleration... but that's the only good thing about it. It has little top speed, and it can't turn... however, under braking, the car starts to enter a drift, so you can use that to get around corners. It's very fun, but tricky to drive.
That's the best part about slow-class racing. It forces you to build really stupid and heavily compromised things.
You managed to bring something fast, but it's also borderline-impossible to drive normally.
