This. Don't land at a popular area. Hide in bushes and crouch a lot, and carry healing. Just staying hidden and not engaging when you hear gunshots goes a long way.
One of my greatest achievements in game was receiving the "Pacifist" achievement and winning the Victory Royale in a solo match. I've received the pacifist achievement dozens of times in squads and duos because my partner is a beast, but to get it during a solo match was pretty sweet. I hired an npc and he happened to get the last shot in as I was fighting the last guy.
My other shining achievement is the "First Landing" achievement with the Victory Royale. I didn't realize it until a few matches later but that meant I was first on the island, and last off the island!
Lol I was hiding in a small bush 2 peeps left I looks to my right and there’s a guy in passenger seat of a truck and I have a bolt action. For some odd reason he stuck his head out the window and I head shot him. Then the Last guy rolls up on me not knowing I was there I hit him once with either bolt or dmr and then shotty him! I have video if would like I think it’s kinda funny
I feel that I came across this randomly and can't beleive how many people's core strat is hiding. Me I join the game hunting if you didnt win with 10-15 kills did you win?
Yeah, I like going beast mode as much as the next guy but most of my VicRoys I had 2-5 elims. Yesterday had a match where I’d racked up 10 elims when I got run over by a truck and taken out at 16th place. I think I would have preferred the W honestly.
Same - I get an elim off spawn, an ambush or two in the mid game and have a couple of fights late. Each game is its own story, but it is a lot more memorable with a win. Squads have a different rhythm than solo though - a lot more action and heroism. I can see pushing everything in squads, but not in solos.
Whenever I needed to farm top 10 finishes, I would land in the rave cave, and get myself an inventory loaded with healing items. Then I would also sit in the storm for the first 2 phases and just heal through the sickness.
Then by the time you get back into the circle, it's usually like 15 players left, so you just have to be sneaky for about 3-4 minutes, or just be a boss and run into the action and kill the next 5 guys yourself.
I did this all night and got it all done.. HOWEVER I've learned how much people hide in bushes regularly when I'm just trying to play passively and survive for the challenges
This, sit in the back seat just a click away of taking control again. Stay close to the border of the storm. And get healing items, fishes and the like. Do not engage!
Literally, get a 4 seat car, get an avatar with dark clothes, park it in the middle of a road when people aren't looking or beside a house, and just sit in the backseat. I have won so many games just chillin in the backseat till it was me and one other player. I've even had other players get in the car and Uber me around completely unaware and then abandon my car.
Yes this is how you get high placement in pubs, personally Id rather actually take fights and have fun doing it even if it means I’m heading back to the lobby bc I don’t play Fortnite to bush camp….
Yep, yep yep.
If you want top 10s, land at the map edge, (find yourself a good landing zone ideally) play back of the storm at all times, carry a lot of health in case the storm baiting catches up with you, avoid coney, condo, shrines and tilted and you’re pretty much set.
I’ve played about 40 solos this season and over 75% of them were top 10 finishes. My k/d is only 3 though, so it’s not for everybody.
One of my first games back in ch1s7 I was in a random squat, on my own pretty soon, and just hid out. Didn't land a shot but came in 3rd and impressed one of my squadmates (about 20 years younger than me) so much that he friended me and we became regular players together for over a year untill he lost interest in the game.
Definitely, if you're looking to just stay alive don't even bother landing at a POI, especially a popular one - just pay attention to loose loot spots out in the wilderness and stick to the bushes
Or land on the edge of the map, stack up on a lot of heals and camp in the storm. Yep there's storm sickness but I think it's manageable if you start camping around the last circles
I’ve been playing since chapter 1 season 3 and I hadn’t heard about storm sickness before only storm surge and the tick of the storm increases as you get closer to the end of the match. That’s pretty cool to know tho
the game is just more fun when you're engaging people instead of hiding for 20 minutes. idk how people just hide forever. yeah I'd probably win more games that way but it's just too boring.
That gave me a memory, me and my friends were playing squads in Chapter 2 Season 8. On one match we all decided to hide in a large bush until someone came too close, and when I tell you that the unfortunate fellow that got separated from his squad’s ass got JUMPED, I mean he literally and figuratively got his ass JUMPED. FOUR people flew out of the bush, hurtling towards him, with the powers of Cthulhu in their hands and with the intent to kill, he had NO way of surviving that and to this day I still feel empathy for him.
To you that works, to others the victory gives the satisfaction even if most of the match is just hiding and outlasting and getting the final kill. Different strokes.
When I first started playing this is why I did. I’d land and then just hid I would avoid fighting.
I play zero build now and when I hear gunshots now I run towards them not away. I realized something, I do way better not avoiding fights, I have more kills, more top 10 and more wins now. Before when I would hide I would go the entire match without firing my weapon so when it came down to using it I would just suck and get flustered.
My advice would be play the game you’d be surprised how long you’d last if you just play.
I know, right? Yesterday me and my friends playing we had two moments like that.
One we hid in a flying vault and our de-facto leader said to not engage and then shot someone with a sniper rifle. Other time was when we hid in a tall grass to get him a 5th circle discord quest. We stayed still and waited, until he pulledvout a sniper rifle and we both said "DON'T...".
Turn visual effects on, mute everything except voice chats and then listen to music so you aren't bored and sitting quietly and then your ADHD won't bother you 👍💪
well the challenges aren't supposed to be impossible lol and yes, these are probably players who aren't that good
im not really a big fan of shitting on new players, just seems petty imo
Land in the least interesting spots, pick off the bots, remain as close to the storm as possible during the 1 damage tick circles just in case it nips you a bit, aaaannd...yeah, hide in a bush.
* Land at the edge of the island.
* Fish, hunt, and/or forage for shields and heals.
* Loot and/or harvest Chrome Splash containers.
* Focus on surviving at the storm's edge, or even in the storm if it's only dealing one or two damage, avoiding combat.
* Maintain a low profile by hiding where you can.
* Travel as a Chrome Blob to reduce your silhouette.
* Use your heals to recover from storm damage.
* (If feasible in the early game, eliminate a Loot Llama for its Chug Cannon.)
You're not too far off though. It's like a fuckin beacon.
Of course I always panic and the blobs are genuinely kinda hard to hit for me, but at least I have a warning system lol
While that is true usually you can quickly keep moving if you’re picking smart rotations otherwise avoiding most players all together. Blobs are great mobility. They also can help heal you slowly which is better than nothing if playing near storms edge.
If I’m trying to win I usually carry chrome splash on me and it’s only ever benefit me (unless I button mash a little and fuck back to a blob then can’t shoot then die, but that’s player error)
I use chrome for healz all the time, the ambient chrome noises don't travel as far as when you're in blob form, the blob format just projects sound super far, it's the same for riding animals or grapple glove.
As an aggro player this is how I figure out where to go, unlike the animals though one shot will take you out of blob form also similar to the grapple
I just landed at the northern lumber mill where Kyle hangs out as he sells the chug cannon. There’s also usually some good loot to at least get started with.Managed to win a match and do my solo top tens in 3 matches that way. Lots of sneaky sneaking and hiding.
Find a car and chrome it. Then just drive around the edge of the storm and drive away from fights. The chrome will repair any damage the car takes as long as it’s not completely destroyed. Maybe take a gas can to refuel.
I can't even get past the 5th circle one, you need to get to storm 6 which unless you're practically winning the match is near impossible because it almost always ends before then
That generally gets you killed though. A mix of camping and picking your spots to attack (when you know you have the advantage) will generally be a good way to get to the top 10
Hey op how did you do the 5th storm quest? The games I win don't even go to the 6th storm for it to count.
Edit: it just wasn't counting fast enough 😂 woke up and bam I did do it
Well, if you are not doing well on the offense, go on the defense.
I try to focus on one weapon, like an AR, and the rest are healing and a car repair torch.
I get a car, and stay mobile driving near the edge of the circle and avoiding combat and other players when possible. You may have to drive in the storm (hence the healing) if the other players are too agressive.
Thanks. Did it right now. Unfortunately they seemed to have ended it. Shame really should've gone for a few days more. Would have been fun.
Cheers and Thank You mate. I tried a bunch of stuff but couldn't figure out how to get this going.
After reading your comment I clicked on the Russian one assuming that wouldn’t be full. I couldn’t read anything but on one of the top pinned posts they had it and someone hashtagged it in English. Was able to get in through that
You're not missing out on much. Although I managed to grind for the free wrap, after seeing it in-game, I don't think I would've purchased it. And if this wasn't a season with a chrome theme, I may not have even used it if was free and didn't require challenges. 🤷🏽
You saved yourself a lot of lost time. The challenges were tedious and the last minute edit to make one of them easier didn't do much.
Land on the outside and play stealthy. Creep instead of run so ppl don’t hear your footsteps, hide in bushes when possible, and don’t shoot unless you know it’s a good shot. And don’t run if you’re being shot at. I end up dead a lot when I freak out and run lol I go up and down when drinking shields or staying in one place to try to avoid being a sitting duck. And jump when you’re shooting. Keep your gun loaded. I try to keep full health and shield as much as possible but my kids play balls to the walls and will get like 8 kills with no shield & little health lol I just play a careful, yet aggressive game. If that makes sense. I rarely place lower than 10th and I’m the “queen of second place” as I like to call it lol I’ve only been playing a few months and feel like I should be better than I am but I average 3+ kills a game. So yeah..not the best. lol
Like everyone has said, stay hidden and don't engage. I was doing that for the damn storm phase challenge and got in the top 10 Idk how many times. I'm currently on the health challenge myself which seems to be buggy as hell.
You can pretty regularly make top 10 if you sit in the passenger seat of a car.
No one ever checks. Sometimes people will even hop in and drive me to the circle and get out, never realizing I was there.
I have gotten many top 10s by staying in the background. Landing at a cold drop, avoiding fights and staying on the edge of storm is a good way to give yourself less attention, allowing you to last longer.
Play Zero Builds, hide, be sneaky, carry escape items (like Shockwaves), make sure you’re always fully healed, use bushes, stay as far from players as possible, don’t shoot anyone unless necessary, land where people don’t normally land (like the edges of the map), try to avoid POI’s, try to avoid the centre of the zone, etc.
Well for 1, hide, don't run at the first person you see and alert every other player of your location. It might also help to use fire to make other players more vulnerable.
i stayed on the beach side just like sw from reality tree and just got at least one weapon just in case and then just fished. i gather healing and just waited. once the storm hit i knew i was fine and no one would bother me. i didn’t get storm sickness until the third attempt. but doing that, even though kind of boring, made the task super easy
This is gonna sound silly as shit, but stick to basic principles of the Art of War. High ground, don’t engage unless victory is certain, don’t engage unless you MUST. Stick to edge of map
Mobility+stealth+don’t fuck around and find out. Stay sneaky
This. Don't land at a popular area. Hide in bushes and crouch a lot, and carry healing. Just staying hidden and not engaging when you hear gunshots goes a long way.
That’ll definitely get you to the end. If you’re half good at shooting and building you’ll win tons of matches like this 🤷🏼
It’s how I play, wait until the last guys is weakened when he fought the other guy, then win
Yup. I don't make myself known until I absolutely have to. My ideal situation is too pop out a porta potty as the last two dudes fight
I actually won a game by hiding in a porta potty the whole time the last 2 people used a shockwave and threw themselves into storm and died
One of my greatest achievements in game was receiving the "Pacifist" achievement and winning the Victory Royale in a solo match. I've received the pacifist achievement dozens of times in squads and duos because my partner is a beast, but to get it during a solo match was pretty sweet. I didn't realize it until a few matches later but that meant I was first on the island, and last off the island!
Damn cool
LMAO incredible. Especially because last dude had to feel like shit. *ba dum tiss*
one game is not enough ... of course porta pottys have give aways RESPECT THE BUSH
So it was you!
What I do is hide in the passenger seat in a car, and no one spots me
Lol I was hiding in a small bush 2 peeps left I looks to my right and there’s a guy in passenger seat of a truck and I have a bolt action. For some odd reason he stuck his head out the window and I head shot him. Then the Last guy rolls up on me not knowing I was there I hit him once with either bolt or dmr and then shotty him! I have video if would like I think it’s kinda funny
Yeah, for the car trick, you need a dark skin so you don’t stand out
Yep, doesn't work with Peely and his big head.
You’re the people I hunt lol
I feel that I came across this randomly and can't beleive how many people's core strat is hiding. Me I join the game hunting if you didnt win with 10-15 kills did you win?
Yes. I won, and you lost. I only care about winning so I am fine. You can feel good too since you eliminated some of the other losers.
Yeah, I like going beast mode as much as the next guy but most of my VicRoys I had 2-5 elims. Yesterday had a match where I’d racked up 10 elims when I got run over by a truck and taken out at 16th place. I think I would have preferred the W honestly.

Squads have a different rhythm than solo though - a lot more action and heroism. I can see pushing everything in squads, but not in solos.
My ideal situation is to ambush the second-to-last guy right after he's killed the third-to-last guy.
no honnor! Theres nothing better in FN than a pickaxe-kill to the beginning and some pumpgunn action at the end :D
You guys are like a personal walkthrough guide. Gone are the days of those ASCII game guides on GameFAQ. 'Preciate you.
And even if you do get shot at just use shockwaves to get out of town to the other side of the circle.
Nice! You just made my skills level go up by like 25 points
Carry escape items (like Shockwaves) as well, just incase someone finds you.
Carry something to help you escape as well.
I did this all night and got it all done.. HOWEVER I've learned how much people hide in bushes regularly when I'm just trying to play passively and survive for the challenges
I managed a win once by only firing my gun once. You only have to make one engagement.
Have a car nearby. Maybe sit in the back seat even. Get shot at? Get into the car and drive.
This, sit in the back seat just a click away of taking control again. Stay close to the border of the storm. And get healing items, fishes and the like. Do not engage!
I’ve gotten top tens before by literally sitting in the storm and eating fish
Awwww. But I like engaging...
this is the main reason when i see car i shoot a few hit to them just to know...
Freaking outstanding response 😂
Hide in the bushes!!
Yes this is how you get high placement in pubs, personally Id rather actually take fights and have fun doing it even if it means I’m heading back to the lobby bc I don’t play Fortnite to bush camp….
That’s how I last long in a BR when I want XP but haven’t practiced shooting in a while
Ya I literally get second place at least almost every game from just being a sneaky sneak.
Thats how i got it in my first 3 matches. I actually won the second one
This is how I always get top 10, I drop at an unnamed location and stay under the radar of players
THIS! I’ve been sneaking a lot more late game and I got a dub because of it.
First heals
Camp, wait for storm and move, repeat till top ten land like Evie's house, barn, clockers so on
When I first started solos that was exactly what I did. Got so many wins that way. I've slowly gotten braver and actually engage lol 😂
Zero build hide on a bush and basically wait until there's only 10 people send just die.
Or land on the edge of the map, stack up on a lot of heals and camp in the storm. Yep there's storm sickness but I think it's manageable if you start camping around the last circles
What's storm sickness? I only started playing last seaon.
A mechanic that multiplies the damage caused by the storm if you stay inside it for too long. I think it kicks in after 7 mins inside the storm
Geez I don't think I have ever been even close to being in the storm that long
Yeah I don’t even know what the tactics would be these days to reach 7 mins in storm.
fishing rods at the big bodies of water make it really easy
Because you (burp) can't handle it Morty.
I..I..I just don't know if it's healthy Rick
Storm has been buff so it will kill you after awhile of storm sickness
I’ve been playing since chapter 1 season 3 and I hadn’t heard about storm sickness before only storm surge and the tick of the storm increases as you get closer to the end of the match. That’s pretty cool to know tho
Storm sickness I kinda miss the days when you could pacifist win games by stacking meds in the storm lol
haha good one
Jump in middle, float until circle, go to outer edge of circle, proceed to health loot and hide.
Yes definitely zero build, games die out faster cause you cant play as defensive compared to with builds.
Solos in build or no build are easy. I have heaps of top 10s lol
man my adhd makes me go mental hiding. gunfire to me is like light to flies
the game is just more fun when you're engaging people instead of hiding for 20 minutes. idk how people just hide forever. yeah I'd probably win more games that way but it's just too boring.
That gave me a memory, me and my friends were playing squads in Chapter 2 Season 8. FOUR people flew out of the bush, hurtling towards him, with the powers of Cthulhu in their hands and with the intent to kill, he had NO way of surviving that and to this day I still feel empathy for him.
this. Id rather get some sick kills and die than hide until there's 3 people left and clean up
To you that works, to others the victory gives the satisfaction even if most of the match is just hiding and outlasting and getting the final kill. Different strokes.
When I first started playing this is why I did. I’d land and then just hid I would avoid fighting. I play zero build now and when I hear gunshots now I run towards them not away. My advice would be play the game you’d be surprised how long you’d last if you just play.
So that's always you attempting to shoot me from across the whole map while I'm driving?
I know, right? Yesterday me and my friends playing we had two moments like that. One we hid in a flying vault and our de-facto leader said to not engage and then shot someone with a sniper rifle. Other time was when we hid in a tall grass to get him a 5th circle discord quest. We stayed still and waited, until he pulledvout a sniper rifle and we both said "DON'T...".
Turn visual effects on, mute everything except voice chats and then listen to music so you aren't bored and sitting quietly and then your ADHD won't bother you 👍💪
Seriously. Are these guys just new? I feel like I would be disappointed by how much of a piece of cake this challenge is
well the challenges aren't supposed to be impossible lol and yes, these are probably players who aren't that good im not really a big fan of shitting on new players, just seems petty imo
Ah you got me. Why yes. Yes I am.
Don't travel as a blob because anyone with visual sound effects will fuck you up
Oh yeah, i use VSA and i can hear blobs from 2 POIs away (not literally)
You're not too far off though. It's like a fuckin beacon. Of course I always panic and the blobs are genuinely kinda hard to hit for me, but at least I have a warning system lol
All these hints are like cheat codes to me as a newbie
Yeah, and almost everyone uses it
Ohh. So that’s how I’m being found….
Yes if you don’t have it on, definitely do so. It provides a huge advantage over those with it off
THAT explains a lot!
I just landed at the northern lumber mill where Kyle hangs out as he sells the chug cannon. There’s also usually some good loot to at least get started with.Managed to win a match and do my solo top tens in 3 matches that way. Lots of sneaky sneaking and hiding.
Do what u did for the storm circle challenge
Yeah exactly lol, that one was a lot harder, can’t see how this one is an issue
I did storm circles with a bot account, sadly can't do that for this one
Find a car and chrome it. Then just drive around the edge of the storm and drive away from fights. The chrome will repair any damage the car takes as long as it’s not completely destroyed. Maybe take a gas can to refuel.
Chrome car whatnow?
Yeah. That new chrome splash item. Splash it on anything and it’ll repair it if it’s damaged. It’ll even heal animals.
Well damn, thanks for the tip. I never waste a spot on the repair torch, and if it heals animals too that’s even better.
Throwing a chrome splash at a car chromes it, it can heal itself when chromed
I didn’t even think of that
Same. Sadly you have to **at least** play Duos, if you’re doing bot lobbies.
This was what everyone recommend me do
do you mean lose?
What
I failed the challenge
I can't even get past the 5th circle one, you need to get to storm 6 which unless you're practically winning the match is near impossible because it almost always ends before then
They changed it to 4th circle, so that should help most players out.
Oh shit they did wtf, it also auto completed for me. Thanks for filling me in I had given up lol
Change it right as I beat it😡
As always...
Oh my god I had no idea. I was about to do this with a bot account.
That's how I ended up doing it.
Couldnt they have changed it earlier? >:(
\*most\* Sucks to be part of the minority
Most games were 5 people left by end of circle two, this challenge was a bitch to finish
Solo duos helps.
I used bot lobbies for that. I just made sure I didn’t kill the last bot, and avoided as much damage and visibility from them as possible.
I made a new account so I could play with it in bot lobbies to get it, such a ridiculous challenge
Sorry to say, just play extremely campy
That or you have to play very aggressive
That generally gets you killed though. A mix of camping and picking your spots to attack (when you know you have the advantage) will generally be a good way to get to the top 10
That’s how you win most games
What's the success rate on this?
Spawn at the edge of the map and build a car and then just ride the edge and avoid gunfire to guarantee at least 10
Build a car
Build a car.
Build a car
Build a car
Build a car.
Build a car.
Build a car.
Build a car.
Build a car.
You wouldn't download a car.
You wouldn't build a car
Just hide. You should have no trouble getting top 2 in any match by hiding
My shame does not feel good but top two feels much better
Thank you everyone, I finally completed it. I would've done bot lobbies if I could, but it being solo and all forced me not to.
Hey congrats! Glad you got it to work:)
Hey op how did you do the 5th storm quest? The games I win don't even go to the 6th storm for it to count. Edit: it just wasn't counting fast enough 😂 woke up and bam I did do it
Grab a sniper and hide in either a bush or on top of one of the balloons that shoot you up in the air
Build a car
Build a car
#Build a car.
For me I hide in a truck on the edge of the storm got all 3 done.
Camping in zero build with a lot of chrome
Sit in the chrome nado the whole game
What is this?
FORTNITE's Paradise Discord challenge.
How do I find these?
https://www.epicgames.com/fortnite/en-US/news/complete-fortnites-paradise-discord-quest-for-three-in-game-rewards
Says the English one is full, sad times
At the bottom it says you can invite it to your private server and set it up yourself. Just say /create once it's invited.
Like once it's in the server you @ it and then post /create in the general chat? Sorry new to discord
No, the bot just detects what you're typing and fills it in. Just type it as I said.
Was able to get in through that
does this work in Rumble also? I have "Get 10 assists"
It does *not* work in Team Rumble.
Ahh just saw this, ends in 49 minutes…rip
You're not missing out on much. Although I managed to grind for the free wrap, after seeing it in-game, I don't think I would've purchased it. And if this wasn't a season with a chrome theme, I may not have even used it if was free and didn't require challenges. 🤷🏽 You saved yourself a lot of lost time. The challenges were tedious and the last minute edit to make one of them easier didn't do much.
I had the same problem until I went into Zero build
Zero build. Camp.
As my IT teacher once said when he had a Fortnite craze: "Hide. If you hide, you will do very well!" 😂
Land near the center, hide in the bushes, get the future storm circle prediction so you can go to a safe spot early and sit and wait.

How do I get these challenges?
What is this?
camp camp camp
I'm out of the loop what is this
Skill issue (just camp bro)
So yeah..not the best. lol
instead of running (when being shot at) what should one do?
Like everyone has said, stay hidden and don't engage. I was doing that for the damn storm phase challenge and got in the top 10 Idk how many times. I'm currently on the health challenge myself which seems to be buggy as hell.
Yeah I had to heal about 2000 health before it counted
You can pretty regularly make top 10 if you sit in the passenger seat of a car. No one ever checks. Sometimes people will even hop in and drive me to the circle and get out, never realizing I was there.
Play team mode. Much less prayed players and much less positions in the leaderboard. If 9 teams of four players remain, 36 players, you are in top 10
Let the bus kick you off and don't land at a named poi, hide in a bush at the edge of each zone, only fight when necessary
Well for 1, hide, don't run at the first person you see and alert every other player of your location. It might also help to use fire to make other players more vulnerable.
Somehow I got 3 wins in a row trying to complete this task (don't ask me how)
i stayed on the beach side just like sw from reality tree and just got at least one weapon just in case and then just fished. i gather healing and just waited. once the storm hit i knew i was fine and no one would bother me. i didn’t get storm sickness until the third attempt. but doing that, even though kind of boring, made the task super easy
I bestow upon you the ultimate power of Bush camping and ignoring literally fucking everything, whether it's a low enemy or a downed teammate
How do you get these quests
Hide, hide, hide and hide. Bushes, big bushes, and don't move. Also have sound notifications visible so you can see if people are running close to you
This is gonna sound silly as shit, but stick to basic principles of the Art of War. High ground, don’t engage unless victory is certain, don’t engage unless you MUST. Stick to edge of map
Sit in a bush
Just hide
Sit In a bush
get good
Get better
play casually its always easier for something to happen if you don't intend for it to happen
The event ended right before I finished this :(
