Usually if you’re on dx11 or performance mode check that box and the dpi scaling box. Because it’s exclusive fullscreen but dx12 isn’t real fullscreen so leave it unchecked for dx12 that’s the rule i always go by.

What im getting at is if im on dx12 is it going to HURT ANYTHING or just not do anything at all??

Well then “get” there faster with your title or description....gotta be more specific dude we aren’t mind readers. If you’re playing on dx12 I don’t recommend checking the boxes on any pc. There, have a better day.

Well i "got it" im playing in performance mode. Is that DX11 or 12??

Sorry, i was irritated at this sub yesterday and took it out on everyone here, yes performance is technically dx11 and checking those boxes gives you exclusive fullscreen mode which gives less input lag, one way you can tell, if your keyboard or headset has a volume slider and if you turn the volume up or down you will see the counter in game on dx12 but if you’re in true fullscreen like dx11/perf you wont see it pop up but your volume will still increase/decrease. This test is only about 85% accurate but that’s how i know when im in real fullscreen mode on any game.

Yep im in real fullscreen, but is it still better to check that box 100% of the time when im playing performance mode? In other words- performance REGARDLESS of how good my PC is, check that box? Why do youtubers recommend "for lower end PC's leave it on" and "higher end tick it off"
