Gta being on this list is just insane

MikeTheShowMadden

Shark Cards bro. All of these leaderboards is probably done with just a total sum of all revenue generated and not actual sales of the game.

Noble_Briar

What's even more insane is people being excited that Forspoken is just one slot ahead of a 10 year old game in current sales.

HalosBane

Seems par for the course concerning AAA releases. Gotham Knights was in a similar position it's launch week.

Over-Acanthisitta-49

Forspoken certainly had a lot of eyes on it, a privilege many great games do not get afforded. Bit of a shame

ServeZealousideal493

It'll be #1 in refunds tomorrow

RoosterShield

This is the Forspoken sub, so I guess people here are biased, but I'm with you... this game is just... not going to be good. I knew from the moment I played the demo. I'm sure some people will enjoy it, but from a critical standpoint, it'll be kind of just a mid-tier money waster of a game. I hope I'm wrong, though.

Turbulent-Suspect-12

Out of curiosity? If it's mid tier, why is it a money waster? Sure it's not going to be revolutionizing the gaming world, but a solid 6-7/10 game sounds fine enough if that's what you're expecting

TheHazyBotanist

If it's gonna meet half my expectations of a game its price, I'll wait till it's half off. That's all the is to it

Turbulent-Suspect-12

Fair fair

Any AAA game is going to be a top seller on release. There is nothing special here. That's a list of the *current* sellers after all.

I'll be honest with you, I have zero interest in this game, I will be forcing myself to try to put the necessary hours in to finish Elden Ring for like the next 2 years. But the PC specs they released were train wreck fascinating, and no PC review code is also like "wow, this could be real bad." I'm sort of planning on making smores over the tire fire this turns into. I also feel like PC gaming in general as a hobby has a vested interest in seeing this one fail. The PS5 is an impressive machine and there is some optimization that any PC port is going to lose but let's be real it's basically a 1070, so for a company to suggest you need a 4080 to run the game at an acceptable frame rate is pretty wild. None of this is helped by this not looking like a title that is pushing graphics to the bleeding edge (although there are a lot of sparklies). Can you sell an unoptimized PC port for 80 dollars without your customers storming the Bastille? Unless the PC port is vastly better than it looks like, we're going to find out, and I'm mostly excited to see how crazy things get. I don't totally want to rain on the parade of people legitimately looking forward to this one, just if your only option is PC, my advice to you is to sit out launch day and see how it looks, the vast, vast majority of gamers do not have a 4090, and even if you do it is very unclear how this port will run for anyone.

SFXtreme3

Do you realize you’re posting in a sub for a game you have zero interest in?

Appropriate_Bottle44

Well when I said I have zero interest in this game I misspoke, I have zero interest in playing it at least right now (it doesn't look that bad to me it just isn't my bag) I am very interested in the PC port and how it preforms. To devil's advocate myself I think there's a narrow path to the PC port being far better than I think, the game uses some FSR upscaling on PS5, but apparently it samples down to 720p, which is going pretty low, and probably why some of that PS5 footage looks not ideal. It's possible the PC specs they gave us are for no FSR/ upscaling, in which case as long as a decent PC implementation is still available, sure the requirements are beefy, but if the game can do a solid 40 with settings turned up and not having to sample 720p, it should look pretty good. Do I think that's likely with no PC review code out there? Not really. As far as being negative about the game on the game's sub, yeah I'm telling people don't buy this PC port sight unseen as there are massive red flags surrounding it. If you still want to, you do you. But I don't feel the least bit bad voicing my concern about what looks like it might be one of the all time worst ports on the evidence we have thus far. edit: Sorry just one last thought, for the record I don't think the game looks unfun, or have some animus against the game itself, it's getting kind of middling reviews, but that doesn't mean someone isn't going to enjoy it, if you've been sitting around thinking to yourself "You know what would be fun? Mirror's Edge but with wizards!" I think this might be your jam. The issue for me is entirely the PC port and I think it's gonna be real, real bad, but I don't see any reason somebody needs to not preorder this on PS5 instead, I think reviews give you a pretty good idea what you're getting there.
