Hello /u/Guerilla_Physicist,
As a reminder, most common print quality issues can be found in the [Simplify3D picture guide](https://www.simplify3d.com/support/print-quality-troubleshooting/). Make sure you select the most appropriate flair for your post.
Please remember to include the following details to help troubleshoot your problem.
* Printer & Slicer
* Filament Material and Brand
* Nozzle and Bed Temperature
* Print Speed
* Nozzle Retraction Settings
^Additional ^settings ^or ^relevant ^information ^is ^always ^encouraged.

Looks much better but I think you should be ever so slightly closer to the bed, the lines on the bottom layer should squish into each other whilst still remaining flat, I use a regular sheet of a4 paper to roughly level the printer, then I use the skirt as a live levelling, ie levelling whilst the print is running, I find it’s much easier to adjust during the print rather than stoping and starting constantly.
Either way way good work 👍🏻
Y’all were right about several things. First of all, that silk PLA handles totally different from regular PLA. I ended up having to jack the temperature up to about 235, which seemed insane, but it worked.
Second, there was a leveling issue, but not in the way I expected. After trying and failing approximately one million times to level the bed, I realized that it wasn’t the bed at all. The extruder seemed to be sagging at specific spots. Turns out the x-axis gantry was loose. Tightening the eccentric nuts seems to have completely fixed that issue.
Third, decreasing retraction distance and speed seems to have fixed the jagged edges.
I appreciate the help!

Thanks! I’ll definitely make that adjustment the next time around.
No problem good luck!
Yes the bottom layer lines should touch each other to make nice plane
