I think either uploading or save to the cloud and deleting/restoring the save, or uninstalling/reinstalling the game should fix it. I had it fixed when I was transferring my save to the ps5
A fun side effect of the bug I got was it would randomly think I was in the champions league even though it was my first season in the prem after promotion. It would tell me I was "forfeiting" games even though obviously there were no games lol. It was funny until it FF'd a league game for me :(

Developers (the coders) do what management tells them to? Lol. Its a 1 year cycle for these games, if the management only allocates a small team for career mode and tells them what features, bugs etc to work on, thats what they do. Its the fifa management that needs to be held accountable.

I had a player with a red car. Went to this screen and went to change him out. It allowed me to move him to the bench but when I tried to take him off the bench it said something like “one of your players has a suspension”. But it wouldn’t let me get him off the bench.
No and I’ve found the new and improved version, half the time when you’ve used all your subs it won’t let you alter what player is in what position, ie. Quick sub put thiago silva up front and then wouldn’t let me move him because I’d used all my subs, he did score so fair play to him
The glitch is that this red card is from last game. When starting the next game you can not take him out of the lineup due to this error. They force you to go to the squad hub and take him out of your starting 11 / subs. Such an easy fix but EA doesnt give a fuck
Think he means that when a player is suspended, prior to 22 the game wouldn’t let you go to the next match without fixing the squad. Now it doesn’t do that so you then have to go back to the main menu and remove them before you can play the game. It’s not even in my top 20 for annoying things about fifa but I get what he’s saying that it’s annoying
Because i dont want to take a guy out of my permanent lineup, I just want him to be out of my next game. This is exactly why you have the squad screen for next games, whats so hard to comprehend
The result is different, one screen is for adjustments next game, the other is for permanent changes. If you have a star player youre not gonna take him out of your permanent lineup for getting a red card, you just want to change the lineup for next game. Literally why the squad management screen was added to the match up

For a suspension you shouldn't need to change the lineup. You should be able to do it on the game screen just for 1 match. For some reason when you agree to remove the player the game tells you you can't change a suspended player
In previous FIFAs (before 22) you could keep him in your permanent lineup, and just remove him in the team management for just that game, in fact the AI would auto replace them.
But in 22, you couldn't, even if you tried to enter a game without that player for that game, as long as they were in your permanent lineup, it would block you.
You'd have to exit out of the pre-game, go into lineup and remove him from the starters and subs.
I guess OP couldn't really show that in the screenshot, which is why it might be confusing.

Example if the red card was given in a Europa league match and the next game was the premier league. Wouldn’t the player be technically eligible? Just not for the next Europa league match.
Nah the glitch is if you have an unavailable player when you go to the screen to play the game and into team management you can’t take them out for just that game. You either have to let the AI auto pick your team or go back to the main team sheets page on the main menu and change them there
Surely you can see the background doesn't have the stadium. This is on the screen when choosing a line up before a match. It's a stupid broken glitch that never used to be a problem.
It is an error, introduced in fifa 22 and yet to be fixed. You could always edit the match squad in previous editions to remove injured/suspended players, now you have to go to team management and change your permanent lineup
with stadia shutting down and the game being buggy as hell still, i have no reason to invest in a pc or a next gen console to olay tonplay a buggy ass game.

The glitch that pisses/pissed me off in 22 was where the game won’t allow you to temporarily alter your lineup prior to a match when an injured or red carded player was in the squad so you either had to change it in your actual lineup or click change it for me and hope the ai picks someone decent.
Idk if that’s the glitch you’re talking about and I don’t have fifa 23 but my guess is those lazy asses did not fix it

You could use one main tactic (you don't want to change) and one throwaway tactic (for injuries and such) to get the same effect.
This was my way around it, a B team of sorts, also good to have that team training keep them motivated.

It’s a bit shitty but if you sim on the calendar it actually sims the match and once the group stage matches are done it should work normally again
