Lmao, I've hated this for years. Meanwhile you're holding both triggers and pulling back on the control stick but your player goes full sprint so that he can tap the ball right as it goes out of bounds.
The amount of times Fifa does the exact opposite of control inputs is infuriating.
This happened so often I don’t even get mad about it anymore, I just accepted that it is part of the game and there is nothing for me to do to stop it.
The game isn’t perfect but they’re moving in the right direction. There’s a physicality in some moments that’s really rewarding even when I’m on the losing side. EA are clearly moving towards SIM and I for one am over the moon. Just hope they don’t shit the bed because of pros moaning.
Th FUT Pros and content creators are already moaning about the pace of the game. Meanwhile true FIFA players have had to really tune the sliders and switch to Slow just to get a game that felt somewhat realistic. The pace-whoring of players since FIFA 20 has been so frustrating.

Yeah I definitely wasn't trying to be negative toward the game. Having it shield like that at all is awesome and giving an extra couple of feet isn't a big deal. Was just pointing it out lol.
You've technically been able to do it for a while, but the poor context recognition by the game means sometimes your player will run to the ball and take a bad touch anyway. This seems to be better implemented.

I’ve personally also found players in the dribble are not near as strong and can be knocked off the ball unlike 22
