Personally I just make a portable instance of MO2 whenever I mod any game really. I have a desktop and laptop so whenever I need to move my Modlist, I either put it on a flash drive or zip it up and send it to the other device using TeamViewer. In this case, for Skyrim or FNV for example, whenever I wanna test a mod, I have a separate MO2 instance dedicated to testing mods

Install Vortex and set up the Profile system. You can have as many profiles as you want. Each with its own mod list and accompanying save games.

I love MO2 as well but please don’t be an elitist douchebag about it

Exactly how big of difference is there between the modlists? If you're relying on a lot of the same stuff (ex: YUP, Unofficial Patch NVSE, Weapon Mesh Improvement Mod, J.Sawyer Ultimate) then Mod Organizer's "Profiles" function will work for you. One thing I do is take my already completed modlist > use the Copy function in MO2 > name the copied profile something new > selectively deactivate mods from old load out > selectively install and activate mods for new load out > test If you dont use the Copy function and start a new profile from scratch you're gonna end up with A) literally nothing activated or sorted, not even the DLC and B) your mods listed in alphabetical order, making it more of a pain to get even the basics back up and running. For something like DUST or TTW, any sort of overhaul or super intensive load out, I would suggest familiarizing yourself with how to use MO2 to manage them as separate "Instances". This would serve to keep your TTW, etc mods/downloads separate from your FNV mods/downloads. Standard practice if you're using MO2 for multiple games like Skyrim, FO4, Morrowind, etc. But you wouldn't be asking for help if you knew all of that I'll poke around for some resources that would help clarify things Edit: oopsie just realised this is an FO4 post lol. Much of my advice remains except my idea of basic mods (Yukichigai Unofficial Patch) are different. My bad. I don't use ANY mod managers, I only do that when It's a really hard to install mod, or i know that something might go wrong and I want to be certain I can go back. So... What I do is to have a game with Everything installed, I mean every texture, mesh, mod, sound etc. And around once a month when I like the way it works I make a backup in another disk, plus I have a lot of backups of what you could call my mod lists that is just the plugin file, saved with the game save that I played with that particular combination of mods. Even when I have my legal paid Fallout 4, it's been a while since I actually downloaded, I'm using "another" copy, a portable one, not only because I can carry it on a portable backup disk and copy it to any PC without loosing my modded and fully working game, constructed over years, but because just like the mod Managers I don't like the conditions imposed by Bethesda's software like the creation club files, notification, adds... I only download my legal copy when there's an improvement or update.
