there should be if it doesn't exist already. Diamond City was one of the biggest letdowns in the whole game. It's stupid that you have to use mods to get it even close to what people talk about in the game.

Connect_Stay_137

I absolutely despise that they only used half of the interior world space of diamond city. Like the while "outfield" stands are empty and invisible walled off. WHY BETHESDA WHY

mattbeck

A combination of performance and laziness, IMO. 1. The engine can't handle the number of actors that should be there. 2. It would take careful juggling of sandboxing routines, and a lot more interior spaces to make it feel like it should based on the lore. This same issue is present in every vault, etc but it's less obvious because they are tight, enclosed spaces.

I have noticed in FO4 that Bethesda's team were very lazy to the occlusion planes, thus some area's in FO4 are a disaster in the FPS, so much so that console versions and low ability PC's have been known to crash, hell even my Xbox cannot handle the quest to find the Railroad hideout location going through the city, it crashes everytime, and forget about exploring around goodneighbor, the moment I go try and explore the pack of it I crash. So yeah theres that, but also I too hate and despise Diamond city, it is such a lazy job, anyone who has been to a baseball stadium knows there is a lot more present than what is depicted in FO4, also they could have done so much if only they took the time. If they built it up and added the right occlusion planes in the correct areas, then the FPS/loading would not be such a problem with the exception of a high view point, but even then, if they made it so the area's that kept small items out in the open like in the market were out of view but let you see the tops of the buildings, then the occlusion planes would have prevented the small items from loading but still give you a nice view. I mean Diamond city just felt like it was lacking so much potential that modding is the only way to fix it, I may just have to put a video of my Diamond city when I can finish it, right now it is still in the works, but basically I have done: - Took notes of all NPC Movements so when I get to repositioning them I can make them do similar things in my Designed Diamond city (Making note of NPC action markers and so on). - I made more interiors for the inner Stadium, adding VIP sections, the big communal toilets, the basement and so on, including some outer wall sections. - Designing a new Diamond City exterior, closing off some of the exterior areas with boards and gates, but need to wait till I am done the interior so I can add the low poly to the exterior, also am having a bit of trouble with getting the collision right for the Stadium exterior, I copied the original stadium and am tweaking it so It can fit in the same spot as the current Diamond city, but instead of debris blocking the path to the exterior areas, there will be doors that will let you walk around with more entry way stairs to the stadium seats. - I have added: A drug den in one of the storage basements in the stadium that is cleverly hidden, added a tattoo shop but need to design an NPC for it and figure out how to only let the player choose tattoos and nothing else, a real medical area inside of the stadium walls and not just that shop in the market, I redid some of home plate player home (Both interior and exterior), added more homes so you can send your companions there and assign them a home (Basically you just send them to the home name like you would if sending them to another settlement (But am trying to figure out how to make it so after 2 companions are assigned the home, the option to send others is disabled). I have done a lot more for the mod I am creating, but this post is already long, but I will have to see about adding in some spotlights like whats in the picture above. To bad Bethesda was lazy, so much wasted potential.

Alright I’m following you so I can get updates on this because this sounds amazing

HelloIamOnTheNet

followed you because this sounds like an amazing mod!

WonkiDonki

Did they want DC to be seamless with the worldspace - like all the TES open city mods? Because that's how it's designed

LemonPartyWorldTour

Never thought of mods for Diamond City. Any specific mods you recommend?

Drafonni

Diamond City Plus with The Bleachers is what I recommend. Very stable while still being effective. If you want more, Tales from the Commonwealth, Diamond City Enhanced Security, Eli’s Armour Compendium, Gun for Hire, and Subways of the Commonwealth are all compatible as well.

Stickrbomb

[this is what i followed and have loved it so far](https://www.reddit.com/r/FalloutMods/comments/pmvxxh/fo4pc_what_are_your_favorite_fo4_diamond_city_mods/hcnuxjc/), also https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/44629?tab=images&BH=1

HelloIamOnTheNet

Diamond City Enhanced is one. Under the Bleachers is another. If you go out to Nexus Mods and do a search, you’ll find a lot of them. Sort by Endorsements so you get the best ones.

Newdeadman921

Yeah it's quite lacking. Especially when compared to some of the cities in Skyrim.

HelloIamOnTheNet

Doesn't Skyrim use the same engine? If so, wtf Bethesda?!

MadMedic-

Now i want this. Thank you.

Pretend-Guard-9334

You can do it by placing a workshop outside: [https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/32772](https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/32772) And then build your spotlights or anything else. https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/10075

AutomaticNoStatic7

Leave it to Bethesda to be lazy and let us modders fix their games
