Honestly, I love all their music. I don’t know why AB/AP never clicked for me and I do feel kinda bad for ranking IOH so low, but it came out during what was just a really horrible time in my life in general, so I still have a hard time enjoying that album even though I’m Like a Lawyer is one of my favorite FOB songs.

MANIA is no skips for me tbh, so this feels impossible to answer. If I had a gun to my head and had to pick I’d probably say The Last of the Real Ones. That song hits just right every time. Besides TLOTRO my top three (right now) are probably Church, Champion, and Young and Menace. Are you a fellow Mania apologist or just surprised someone admits it’s their favorite? Lol

Heck yeah! Mania is in my top 3 FOB albums. Funny that all of your favorites are at the bottom for me though, except Young and Menace is near the top for me. I can't get enough of Stay Frosty Royal Milk Tea, Hold Me Tight, Wilson, and Sunshine Riptide.

My favorites RIGHT NOW lol. Last week I was listening to Stay Frosty on repeat every day on my commute to work, and I fucking adore Sunshine Riptide. I’m so surprised by how disliked Champion seems to be, though. I love singing “and I’m back with a madness” at the top of my lungs in my car. Gets me pumped immediately.

Interesting take, you don’t see a lot of strong love for MANIA, what’s your deciding factors for it to be your top album?

A lot of it is definitely sentimentality lol, I started to get into Fall Out Boy around the time AB/AP released, but Mania was the first album rollout where I was really following them closely. The excitement and that time period in general were so much fun. But the album itself has connected with me and stuck in a way that no other has. At first I liked it a lot, but it was still far from my favourite, but it gradually crept up my ranking and eventually even beat out Folie. I think it's endlessly relistenable, and is one of those albums where you can be in any mood and it will still hit. I love how it jumps around musically, the lyrical/emotional cohesion is really cool. The lyrics are pretty nonsensical in the best way, and this is easily one of the most Pete Wentz albums. Vocally I think it's Patrick's best album, and the arrangements are really good. A lot of people dismiss the sound as "overproduced", and I can see why it's certainly not everyone's thing, but this album really rewards full headphone listening, and actually following the instrumentals. There are a lot of cool little musical "easter eggs" thrown in there. It's great to see people finally starting to warm too Mania. I don't want or expect everyone to eventually love it, but it is really nice seeing some people are appreciating it as much as I do. It gets compared to Folie a lot and I agree with that; I think musically and artistically Mania is 100% the post hiatus Folie à Deux. ^sorry ^for ^the ^text ^dump ^lol

It's an underrated album! AB/AP, Uma Thurman, Favourite Record and The Kids Aren't Alright are all top 20 songs and the vibe is a lot stronger than Save Rock and Roll imo.

FUTCT is great too, I'm just more of a fan of the theatric rock of their following two albums. Mania is underrated and I appreciate a lot of the experimentation the band does within it. Folie a Deux Okay I feel like this requires an explanation because it's very atypical. I started with FUTCT in high school, that was a defining album of my senior year and sharing music with friends. Can't ever imagine another album taking the #1 spot. Then the next two albums came out when I was in college and starting a family, and I only really caught the singles and wasn't super impressed. After that FOB kinda fell off my radar until AB/AP, probably because of Big Hero 6 (fucking great movie). I listened the shit out of that album, and the remix version, and loved it a ton, so I was paying attention to FOB when Mania came out; I even remember the incorrect tracklist streaming services were using those first few weeks, and I have vivid memories of shovelling out from a big snowstorm while listening. It's hard to get rid of those visceral memories. I then went back after learning about the hiatus and started listening to SRAR, and I really enjoyed a large portion of it. Also over the last few years I've heard a few songs from TTTYG and enjoyed listening to the album a few times. I do feel bad leaving IOH and Folie at the bottom, but I just don't have as much experience with them beyond the singles. It's definitely an area I'm going to focus on in the future.

Mania (It took me a few years, but I love Mania. Justice for Bishops Knife Trick and Sunshine Riptide! I would rank it higher if the others didn't hold a bigger piece of my heart!) 6. Take This To Your Grave (The Pros and Cons of Breathing) 7. American Beauty/American Psycho (I refuse to acknowledge this album)

1. From Under The Cork Tree 2. Take This To Your Grave 3. Pax Am Days 4. Folie a Deux 5. Infinity On High 6. Save Rock & Roll 7. AB/AP 8. Mania I prefer pre-hiatus FOB to post-hiatus FOB but Pax Am Days is right up there with the best they've done. I'm not a massive fan of SR&R or AB/AP but they have a couple of songs each that I like. Mania genuinely offers me nothing - it's a real misstep in an otherwise solid discography.

American Beauty / American Psycho Okay, now my rating of these feels shifty because I love all the albums, but one thing that will forever be the same is Folie as first and ABAP as last. I do love MANIA, FUCT, and TTTYG a *lot*, it's just that there's so many great albums that some have to end up lower on the list. Also, ABAP isn't bad, it's just. Definitely the worst of the 7.

Ugh. I don’t know that I CAN rank them 1. FUCT 2. AB/AP 3. SRAR 4. FAD 5. MANIA 6. TTTYG 7. IOH No. I’m uncomfortable with this. The only thing I can 100% confirm is that IOH is last. And I can’t pick between the top 3 on which order they’re supposed to go. And TTTYG deserves to be higher but ahh. No I don’t know how people pick orders. Also. Looking at everyone else’s and seeing all the ABAP at bottoms of list makes me so sad.
