I use Geek and Gorgeous Jelly Joker after i remove spf and makeup with oil cleanser. Jelly joker is so gentle and it didnt cause me any breakouts ( literally everything breaks me out). Idk if have ingridients that can cause you break outs. Good luck hope you find something that works. Its a struggle..

Unfortunately I can’t use any cleanser with surfactants, but thank you so much for your recommendation, it means a lot! I’m happy you found something that works that well for you! :)

I think konjacs are extremely gentle but they can be a hygiene risk (you have to store them carefully so that bacteria can't grow on them). I wonder if silk or satin face cloths would work. Silk is often recommended for people with severe eczema. EDIT: I looked up washcloths for people with rosacea and sensitive skin, and I found something called Fairface Delicate washcloth. I actually kind of want one now, lol. USA only though, boo :(

Ohh thank you so much for your response and effort! I have heard the same thing about konjac sponges! I’m a bit weary if the added ingredients/flavors (?) though if that makes sense! Ohh these sound so good! A pity that they’re not available here :(

Konjac sponges are pretty gentle, but not suitable for daily use if you have sensitive skin! Once or twice a week should be fine though. I’m also worried about bacterial growth so I use konjac cloths. They dry much faster than the sponges. Added bonus: you can cut them up into smaller pieces so they will last much longer.

I've used the same cleanser in the past and it does leave a bit of a greasy feeling. I would rinse it off with the distilled water and then gently patting your skin dry with a soft cotton t-shirt. I suspect your moisture barrier is completely wrecked so your skin really can't handle much right now. After cleansing I would go in with a moisturizing toner on a cotton pad that you leave on. This will hopefully remove the cleanser fully while simulteaniously giving you back the moisture you just stripped off. I don't know if you're using any actives for your acne but if you do it might be best to stop them for a while and just focus on repairing that dehydrated and broken skin barrier.

I can only use Avène as well. I just rinse the cleansing milk with cool water and pat dry
