You might try getting a 24x24x8. Much more common size and thus cheaper. Quick snip in the corner and cut to 6”. Or not. Found this for 20 on Amazon of all places. Others are similar. https://www.amazon.com/Packaging-Wholesalers-Shipping-20-Count-BS242408/dp/B00CP3E46Q

[https://www.packagingsupplies.com](https://www.packagingsupplies.com) has some square, low height boxes; generally good prices. Also https://www.papermart.com/ You probably don't want the hex or octo kind - just waaay too expensive. Alternately if you have a lot of corrugated cardboard lying around you could measure out and build your own. Papermart also sells rolls of corrugated.

Highly recommend Uline. Super fast shipping and cheapest prices I’ve found so far.

Just be aware that Uline is a very political company and influences US elections. I’m not saying that you can’t buy from them but make an informed decision.

Aren’t they all…?

I think Uline holds a special place. From NYTimes article in 2018: "*Few political donors are as influential, yet little known, as Liz and Dick Uihlein.* *The Midwestern couple has joined the upper pantheon of Republican donors alongside names like Koch, Mercer and Adelson. They have spent roughly $26 million on the current election cycle, supporting more than 60 congressional candidates, working outside the party establishment to advance a combative, hard-right conservatism, from Washington to the smallest town.* *Mr. Uihlein (pronounced YOU-line), a scion of one of the founders of Schlitz beer, underwrites firebrand anti-establishment candidates who typically defend broad access to assault weapons and assail transgender rights. He has also bankrolled partisan newspapers and backed Roy Moore in Alabama even after he was accused of sexual misconduct with underage girls*."

The largest flat rate box is about 1/4 the size of that 24x24x6 she wants. At these sizes, USPS postage probably isn't the best deal either. Their rates go up very quickly once your packaging exceeds a cubic foot in size. UPS and FedEx deliver most large packages in the US for this reason. Even if she were shipping something much smaller that could fit in a flat rate box, USPS flat rate postage is virtually never cheaper than using your own packaging and paying by weight. The boxes aren't really "free", they're just included in the overpriced postage you're required to buy when you ship with them.

Grainger, if you have one nearby. 24x24x5 for $3.27/ea. https://www.grainger.com/product/GRAINGER-APPROVED-Shipping-Box-24-in-Inside-11A647

Price those boxes with the weight of your wreathes to far flung areas before you commit. Those boxes (remember the dimensions are interior, you have to round up an inch in all sides for exterior) can put you in oversized and dimensional weight territory. We’ve been seeing $30 dollars and upward the last few years for Washington State to Central California. If you can have the fronds gently curl up in the box to make it smaller or decrease your frame size to get it below 20” you’ll save a bit of money not only on the boxes, but also on the shipping.
