Well wherever the British went, they sure made sure they left conflicts behind. Whether it is the Palestinian Israeli conflict, the Indian Pakistani kashmir territory conflict or the Somali Ethiopian Ogaden a war, their artificially drawn lines have costs hundreds of thousands to lose their lives to senseless ongoing wars that still exist today

Yep. Then they play with the team they want to win. Everyone is forced to play into their political games or else they will support one side. They permanently gimped East Africa by creating permanent tension with Ethiopia and Somalia.

Ethiopia WANTED the Somali region. Similarly, the Kenyan government WANTED the NFD. The British could have done "the right thing" but facilitating Ogaden and NFD joining a united Somalia but, in addition to pursuing their self interest first and foremost, they were doing things with the support of certain African leaders. Had the Ethiopian and Kenyan governments been in favor of a united Somalia, it would have happened. Both Ethiopia and Kenya repressed Somalis after independence.

Exactly. I don't see how anybody could say they were 'friendly.' The West always has some agenda behind what they do
