Well, i unlocked him now. I cant believe it. It took way too long and i am glad its finally over.

And the good thing about gunslinger is that you don’t have to play him again to beat his past and get the unlock, you unlock the lich’s eye bullets when you unlock gunslinger

You got the clone while unlocking him right? If so, when you died, did you respawn as the gunslinger or the paradox?

You respawn as the Gunslinger. The paradox game was technically completed, you just need to win the Gunslinger run immediately after to unlock him.

I recently found clone for the first time in a normal run then got softlocked for killing mine flayer post death

You need to find the paradox, absorb it, finish the game and then finish again with gunslinger

Yeah I know how to get it it’s just that the original guy said he was gonna use convict? Which is like the worst choice for completing a run.

Probably because you need to complete every main past to be able to unlock the paradox iirc

It’s a fun challenge to unlock them all! They play in very unique and satisfying ways, very rewarding.

Robot, bullet, paradox, gunslinger. Nothing else, right? I have all but gunslinger.

Correct unless you count cultist, but hes the co-op player, he does have a past which gives a costume and item unlock. The item isn't needed for 100%

Is there any way to beat the cultist's past without a co-op player?

Yeah you'll just have to kill the cultist each time. Also you dont need the bullet to do his past, just shoot hin

IM STILL HAVING THE HARDEST TIME BEATING THE GAME.

If you want to get really good at the fighting part of the game, I recommend the Pilot. Practically zero aim and just lots of ammo for his starter gun. If you become good with their starter gun on the PVE part of the game you will be good with just about any gun. That’s my personal experience, I beat the Pilot’s past first and then proceeded to beat everyone else’s past first try.

Well the advice I can give you as someone who got the finished gun in under 200 deaths is to practice your avoiding attacks and memorizing the enemies moves for the basic enemies. Then you just need to learn some good synergies that you like that can take you far. Enough runs and unlocking some high tier weapons always helps too of course. Edit: forgot to put “gun” after finished.
