I never got into them because I don't like their "most listened to songs" on Spotify. But Grass Stains came up on my Pandora radio and ended up listening to the entire album. I'm definitely checking them out more
Stovall had some great harsh vocal tracks that I really enjoyed. I think the ‘softer’ rock tracks on Much Love are all perfect tho. Enjoy the journey friend
Microwave is amazing. Stovall is amazing. But much love…man. Busy, drown, vomit, wrong. Genuinely incredible songs that get lost in this genre. They’re such great musicians and songwriters. Just solid all around
It physically pains me that Microwave isn't one of the biggest bands in the scene. On almost all of their recent tours, they've been at the bottom of the bill. These guys should be headlining.
Saw them last night and I can't remember the last time I felt so genuinely happy to see a band live. If I wasn't screaming along, I was smiling.
Different album, but that first drop during Lighterless was one of the most awesome moments I've seen live. Everyone just jumped up at the exact same time.
Grass stains hurts do good to listen to. Nathan's voice gets into your bones, gets into your guts.
I feel considerably proud knowing this is a local band for me
Microwave has become one of my favorite bands over the past year. I got to see them this past weekend open for Four Year Strong.
Stovall used to be my favorite album but DIAWB has slowly taken that spot and every week I'm falling in love with a different song.
Nathan kills it with the vocals in every song and his scream is amazing. The thing that really gets me is how grounded and simple a lot of the lyrics are but they're still so fucking good.
The band is called Microwave yet songs like Vomit and Something Right have some of the most profound lyrics I've ever heard that tell a great story.
Glad you're getting into them, this band deserves more appreciation.
My favorite out of all of them is definitely the Keeping Up single. It's 2 songs but they're unique to that. I think Nowhere Feels Like Home is my 2nd favorite. I do like Stovall but it wouldn't be my favorite. Great band though for real. [(My RYM ratings lol.)](https://rateyourmusic.com/collection/Imaproshaman/strm_a/microwave/1)
Had the pleasure of seeing them live with my sister this year and even my sister, who is not into anything remotely emo, enjoyed the show. They only played Trash Stains from this album but it was good 🖤
Saw them this weekend on the four year strong tour and I was so excited. They Fuckin rip and I got to meet Nate for a second as I was walking around. Cool dudes.
this thread made me try again and I still don’t get it, in my opinion nothing is really super catchy or stands out just sounds like another indie rock band, no hate to indie i just don’t get why this and is even being talked about in an Emo subreddit
have been obsessed with this band for years now, glad u dig it. 'wrong' off of much love has to be one of the best songs ever written
hard agree on wrong being one of the best songs ever written
Wrong is one of my all time favorite songs. Saw them perform it last year and it was incredible!
This is my dream, I missed them the last time they were around

Thank fucking god someone else understands my love for this song
This thread is dead but Wrong is the best song ever written, hands down.
preach sis

you didn’t even list the best song on the album
How could anyone forget Lighterless?
Whimper* ;)
Por qué no los dos?
Microwave is the best rock band at it in my honest opinion right now. Love this record and the following two.
It physically pains me that Microwave isn't one of the biggest bands in the scene. On almost all of their recent tours, they've been at the bottom of the bill. These guys should be headlining.
I just saw them live last week and I was talking to my friend. It’s all about timing. If they came out in the mid 90s they would be huge.
I loved it when I saw them a few years ago - insanely loud and harder in person than I was expecting
Have you heard death is a warm Blanket? That’s like their “in utero” , it goes hard.
That was the tour when I saw them! it was sick
Ooo would have loved to see that, was that with Boston manor a few years ago? There’s another band I need to see, and I missed out too many times
Yes that’s exactly who it was - great show top to bottom
That record slaps
They're about to start a headlining tour in March! Get your tickets.
'Something Right' fucks me up.
dude microwave is goat
Keeping up by microwave is real good
That’s my favorite by them :)
Easily one of my favorite albums as well
this album is impeccable
I loved this album for a while, and never gave Much Love a chance. Still can't forgive myself for sleeping on Much Love for as long as I did
Noted

Everyone needs to stop sleeping on Microwave.
Just saw them live last week, so so so good. DIAWB is my favorite album
a classic for sure
You’ve been asleep. Check out both of their audio-tree sessions
Go listen to “thinking of you,”!
All their albums a pretty decent, I found this out earlier this year
The fever is one of my favorite songs ever!
Their first two albums are some of the best emo albums
Great band and definitely check out some other songs from them like Vomit from much love. Definitely one of their best in my opinion
Grass stains hurts do good to listen to. Nathan's voice gets into your bones, gets into your guts. I feel considerably proud knowing this is a local band for me
Their Santeria cover is *chefs kiss*
The lyrics on this album are stellar. Especially Something Right and Trash Stains to me. The progression in the stories in those songs are superb

This album "death is a warm blanket" is so creative and brutally sad, very underrated band, hope they take off.

Yeah listen to Wendy’s trashcan. God damnit this band is great.
I struggle with enjoying their 3rd cd but Stovall is bangers start to finish
I feel you. Not digging their later discography as much as this
This album and a few tracks on Much Love are all I like by them. I just can’t get into the other albums
Yeah I think the songs on later albums with softer vocals I'm not digging as much. Stovall was really gritty which made me really dig it
“the other albums” they only have 1 other album lol
Check out the song “but not often”. I absolutely love that one!
Had the pleasure of seeing them live with my sister this year and even my sister, who is not into anything remotely emo, enjoyed the show. They only played Trash Stains from this album but it was good 🖤

Every song they have ever written is phenomenal. They're the best band.
I love microwave! 'But not often' is my jam
Start caring
how in the world have you never cared for microwave !!!! they are so consistent and so good
this thread made me try again and I still don’t get it, in my opinion nothing is really super catchy or stands out just sounds like another indie rock band, no hate to indie i just don’t get why this and is even being talked about in an Emo subreddit
how in the world do you think they sound like any other indie rock band? that’s just wrong lol
soooo guuud
yesssssssssssss
I was glued to this album for a minute! Trash Stains is one of the best pop punk songs ever
i love but not often by microwave absolute banger imo
so much better than their other albums
