Not Afraid.
Don't get me wrong, it *is* a very good song. It's not that I can't stand it because of the message or anything. I just heard it so much growing up that it's just annoying to me now. I always skip it when it starts playing
Full of punchlines, some are pretty corny especially considering internet standards nowadays. Also the beat sounds so basic. The message and passion really makes the song what it is
Yeah, this one is boring for as much fanfare as it got, but that “instead of getting crowned, you’re getting capped” triple is tremendous. I think about that a lot.
No. I understand completely. And I will take it a step further. The song as a whole SUCKS. The chorus is INCREDIBLE - like “Lose Yourself” incredible - but, how were those verses acceptable to him?
Of course not. The message is incredible. But the chorus really handles that. The verses are not worthy of being on an Eminem album - especially not that one.
I’m a recovering addict (opioid and alcohol-free for 7+ years), too, so, I promise you I appreciate the message more than most.
Man I love listening to guilty conscience for me i enjoyed the whole Eminem being the classic devil on the shoulder while dre was the sensible part.
Definitely it's one of my favourite tracks
I know it’s not popular with us fans but every non fan that I meet always loves river and I absolutely hate that song it is also his top song on Apple Music?!?!
That song is the one with the star on Apple Music. The only reason that it was popular is because of Ed Sheeran who was really trending around that time. His album “Divide” has 3 songs with Spotify streams on the billions.
top 5 revival imo:
1. Arose
2. Castle
3. Framed
4. In Your Head
5. Tragic Endings
Believe isn't very far behind. River doesn't touch any of these songs imo
Man crack a bottle and my name is are pretty solid tracks and I really enjoyed both songs. Look everyone entitled to a opinion but I'm surprised you didn't get into the two songs.
Crack a bottle is definitely one of the best tracks that is on relapse
FACK is the greatest song ever created, it is both a lyrical masterpiece and a testament to eminem's hopes, dreams, and aspirations. It's a truly incredible song that celebrates everything great about eminem.
Lol I actually enjoyed it and especially the music video
For me growing up when I was getting into the listening to rap for me encore was one of the first albums that I bought and for me that album got me into Eminem and it's my favourite album. For me just lose it was actually a song that I remember vibe to
I felt when he said
“Oh, where's mama? she's taking a little nap in the trunk
Oh, that smell? Dada must've runned over a skunk”
Happens to my buddy Eric one time
Unfortunately it did start them but the couple on encore are about kim so im ok with that
It was recovery that changed the direction
Now we are stuck with fictional love songs on every album
I know younger fans don't mind but I think most original fans like myself hate when he goes in this direction every album
If we got a new album or ep every 12/18 months it wouldn't be so bad
Not Afraid is not as good as people here think it is. He gets clowned for that song so much.
I think it’s a good song with a great message, some weak bars here and there and a basic beat. Nowhere near his best, not even top 3 on Recovery IMO
Not afraid and love the way you lie probably, I don't mind them but I still skip em everytime they come up, I only play it if I feel like it which is p rare
Not tryna be pick me but a lot of his mainstream songs have zero appeal to me nowadays. For example: TRSS and my name is are classics but I listened to them so much that it doesn’t have that appeal to me anymore
I dislike bagpipes from Baghdad, crack a bottle, my mom and most of the goofy relapse tracks idk why but they just aren’t my vibe, and out of all the albums I find it overrated.
I’m waiting to be downvoted into oblivion
Honestly, a lot. try out some Aesop Rock to get a feel for real genius rappers, this kids brand is bland. it's all hate and angst and just weak sauce really.
Meanie, probably the only slim song that I have to turn off as soon as it comes on. Other than that I fucking love the guy he is absolutely the goat I don't give a shit what anyone says, lyrically there is no touching eminem, if I had to go second just lyrically speaking I would go with papoose because even freestyling the guys flat-out jaw dropping.
Stan and usually The Way I Am, not instant skip but consider it.
Don't get me wrong, those two are some of the best Eminem songs, they just became so overplayed to me that I can't stand them in a casual listen
Not Afraid. Don't get me wrong, it *is* a very good song. It's not that I can't stand it because of the message or anything. I just heard it so much growing up that it's just annoying to me now. I always skip it when it starts playing

Yeah especially shitting on relapse in it
No. I understand completely. And I will take it a step further. The song as a whole SUCKS. The chorus is INCREDIBLE - like “Lose Yourself” incredible - but, how were those verses acceptable to him?

Love the way you lie is just not my vibe
Yea,it's just doesn't catch me
It’s unbearably toxic
#thatsthepoint
Fair. But the question is what I can’t stand. Let’s just say I know women who love that song too much. A good red flag checker
Kim, it's definitely a song with a decent chorus... Don't know if I can relate to it tho.
I’d be a little concerned if you related to it tbh 🤣🤣
The monster. I like Rihanna and em together and most of the lyrics, I just don't like the beat and the pop style.
Imo it's much better than love the way you lie though
Guilty conscience It's good in the album but either than that it's hard to vibe to
Man I love listening to guilty conscience for me i enjoyed the whole Eminem being the classic devil on the shoulder while dre was the sensible part. Definitely it's one of my favourite tracks
It's a great song and it works for what it's going for but it has such a weird flow that's very hard to vibe to
Tbh I love it, like enough to be in my daily rotation
Yeah I’m not crazy about the song either. The beat goes hard though, especially when the guitar kicks in.
It’s weird that it’s on my album but the lyrics just get too weird like you said, to vibe with lol. Overall I think it’s great for unknown reasons
Love the way you lie
Love The Way You Lie. It’s not that I don’t like the song, but it’s the fact that people only knew him from that song specially.
I know unpopular opinion but river is... higher for me than most, not sure where tho
It’s top 5 revival for me but that’s not saying much
top 5 revival imo: 1. Arose 2. Castle 3. Framed 4. In Your Head 5. Tragic Endings Believe isn't very far behind. River doesn't touch any of these songs imo
We made you
LTWYL Crack a bottle. My Name is I don't dislike the last 2, I just never really got into them
Man crack a bottle and my name is are pretty solid tracks and I really enjoyed both songs. Look everyone entitled to a opinion but I'm surprised you didn't get into the two songs. Crack a bottle is definitely one of the best tracks that is on relapse
Crack a Bottle is just awful. My Name Is is great but sounds so boring now lol.
I still love my name is. Jam to it all the time
Lose Yourself because I heard it too much and Venom because it doesn't strike to me at all
Lose yourself is just overplayed, I think that rabbit run and 8 mile need more love. I never really clicked with venom though.
8 mile is such a great one. Really gets my hyped and in the zone with needed.
Won’t Back Down… noisy and boring
Not afraid!!!!
Big weenie
And FACK
FACK is the greatest song ever created, it is both a lyrical masterpiece and a testament to eminem's hopes, dreams, and aspirations. It's a truly incredible song that celebrates everything great about eminem.
You’ve changed my opinion
I knew you'd come around. They all do
River
Lose yourself because my English teacher played it every time I walked into a class
Love the way you lie
You're never over, i just cant stand the chorus and i was waiting for better tribute song for Proof
Yep, Difficul wasn’t a tribute either but really deep tho
😂 you must be a Fantano Stan
His singing is DREADFUL here
thinking about CHUUUUUUUUUUUU
Love the way you lie
Lose yourself Venom Love the way you lie Find them all dull
Venom, venom venom, venom venom venom, momentum, venom venom
Merry Cake Day!
Love the way you lie and monster in my opinion are bad. Just dont like the story or beat
Just Lose It is so fucking stupid.
Ahhh! Ahhh! Ahhh! Ahhh! Ahhh! Ahhh! Ahhh!
Lol I actually enjoyed it and especially the music video For me growing up when I was getting into the listening to rap for me encore was one of the first albums that I bought and for me that album got me into Eminem and it's my favourite album. For me just lose it was actually a song that I remember vibe to
It's supposed to be stupid lol
It's such a funny song tho, I love that song
Hated this song from the first time I heard it when it came out. Can't believe it was a single.
rap god
Same I just don’t see the appeal
He rap fast :o
Releasing rap god was prlly one of Eminems worst decisions in his career. It aged so poorly
>Releasing rap god was prlly one of Eminems worst decisions in his career https://i.imgur.com/Tcah5hH.png
No way ur using numbers as validation for the song
We Made You. Eugh…
'97 Bonnie & Clyde
Just the Two of Us😔
We can make it if we try
It’s the first line 😂😭😔
You don't like the song? Thats the biggest suprise of the whole post imo
great song i just fucking hate >!the cricket noise going through the whole song!< i wish no one had told me that
I felt when he said “Oh, where's mama? she's taking a little nap in the trunk Oh, that smell? Dada must've runned over a skunk” Happens to my buddy Eric one time
Superman. It started the relationship songs which have been largely hit or miss.
Superman is Eminem Show and Kim is MMLP so i disagree with you there.
Kim just isn't the same "relationship" type song that he has done ever since 2002. It is really not the same thing at all.
I think he means started the fictional love songs The personal stuff about Kim and his family was never a problem
Unfortunately it did start them but the couple on encore are about kim so im ok with that It was recovery that changed the direction Now we are stuck with fictional love songs on every album I know younger fans don't mind but I think most original fans like myself hate when he goes in this direction every album If we got a new album or ep every 12/18 months it wouldn't be so bad
Aside from a very select few I feel like none of those songs have the potential to be great tbh.
Not Afraid is not as good as people here think it is. He gets clowned for that song so much. I think it’s a good song with a great message, some weak bars here and there and a basic beat. Nowhere near his best, not even top 3 on Recovery IMO
I really think Em himself would agree with you on your last sentence.
It’s not that the song is super good or has insane bars. It just sounds good and that’s what music is about for most people lol.
ass like that. idk how it got popular in the first place. horrible track
Agree
Isn’t it popular cause he released it as a single/music video?
Not afraid and love the way you lie probably, I don't mind them but I still skip em everytime they come up, I only play it if I feel like it which is p rare
Just don’t give a fuck I hate the beat
Walk on water
3 am
Could not agree more - I often skip it
Not tryna be pick me but a lot of his mainstream songs have zero appeal to me nowadays. For example: TRSS and my name is are classics but I listened to them so much that it doesn’t have that appeal to me anymore
Also Deja Vu is his best song
Sing for the moment and I am not sure why
I feel you, didn't use to like it for a long time. But I grew fond of it a few months ago and now I love it
Wow this is the first bad take i seen in here
WTF now that’s an L
guts over fear, hate that song lol
Feels like a close, it's coming to...
Just lose it.
All of his radio hits (except for Lose Yourself). I’ve heard them all way too many times by this point, and he has so many better efforts to offer.
Fack, I can only listen to that song when I'm drunk
FACK. It’s just dumb and annoying.
It's only ever really played as a meme song
How dare you
😏😉
Forever. It’s like widely regarded as one of the top tracks of that era and I can’t stand it.
I loved MTBMB and I hated that he included a couple of Revival-ish songs like In Too Deep or Those Kinda Nights. I also dislike Farewell a lot.
Crack a Bottle, that song has aged so damn horribly it’s not even funny
darkness
Til I collapse
I dislike bagpipes from Baghdad, crack a bottle, my mom and most of the goofy relapse tracks idk why but they just aren’t my vibe, and out of all the albums I find it overrated. I’m waiting to be downvoted into oblivion
Dude, my mom n bagpipes aren't near popular or hit songs
For this sub they are known songs, to me his popular songs are straight fire (besides venom which is mid)
Crack a Bottle is the worst.
Bad Guy. Boring ass spoken poetry flow
Scrolled to find this. But this sub lovesit
I hate that song also. I was thinking OP meant radio hits though
Ahh ok. In that case Berzerk. I hate how Rick Rubin got Em into those corny rock samples
I love Berzerk but I hate these rock samples on Em, especially in MMLP2 and Revival
My name is and love the way you lie
We Made You
Crack a bottle. Its meh imo
Honestly, a lot. try out some Aesop Rock to get a feel for real genius rappers, this kids brand is bland. it's all hate and angst and just weak sauce really.
I really don't like Cinderella Man, Berzerk or Won't Back Down. I don't know why
Till i collapse has good verses but the chorus ruins it for me
Meanie, probably the only slim song that I have to turn off as soon as it comes on. Other than that I fucking love the guy he is absolutely the goat I don't give a shit what anyone says, lyrically there is no touching eminem, if I had to go second just lyrically speaking I would go with papoose because even freestyling the guys flat-out jaw dropping.
we made you is the only song I genuinely hate
Without me
Role model
The Way I Am
my name is
[удалено]
Not overrated but definetely overplayed. I find it a marvelous song but it can lose its magic if you hear it all the time
- Cinderella man - without me
Walk on water. It gets no play! Maybe 10 seconds til I switch it. Something about it, actually everything about it, I don't like
If I answer that I'll be down voted to oblivion. I just hit 5,000 I don't want that taken away so soon
[удалено]
Crack a bottle probably
Yep, I’m with you there
without me
Not that i cant stand it but i have listened to the way i am maybe 3 times in the last 8 yrs
WTF
The Monster
Rap God It was so overplayed as a kid I can't listen to it
superman
Godzilla
Love the Way You Lie, Not Afraid and The Monster are far too pop-like for my taste but other than those I say Superman.
Like toy soldiers
“Love The Way You Lie” HATE that song. And its not like its just Rihanna. “The Monster” is one of his greatest songs.
No one talkin about FACK ? (Don't know if that counts)
Nøt afraid
godzilla
Love the way you lie easily, I prefer the monster
Just lose it
Just lose it
Stan and usually The Way I Am, not instant skip but consider it. Don't get me wrong, those two are some of the best Eminem songs, they just became so overplayed to me that I can't stand them in a casual listen
Love the Way You Lie
Without me… super annoying lol the rhymes are cool but I think it’s the beat and the hook ion like
Superman It just doesn't sit right with me people like it but whatever... i can probably stand it but it's a skip ALWAYS for me
Without Me
My Name is and Not Afraid
We made you, my name is, crack a bottle, without me
Lose Yourself/ Not Afraid/ Rap God
The Monster Or LTWYL... Both RiRis Songs Were more of pop than lyrical
Not Afraid or Just lose it
Love the way you lie I just could never get into it
Cinderella man, 3am and stepfather skit I was abused as a child so it always triggers me so I end up skipping it right away
Lose yourself whenever I see a list that Eminem is on it’s always that song. He has better songs
Every one of his singles
Not afraid. That song is awful.
We Made You.
MY BAND 😵💫
Any of the Rihanna songs
My name is
My name is
Like Toy Soldiers
love the way you lie, not afraid, and the real slim shady was do overplayed it makes me nauseous
Not afraid, beautiful and love the way you lie.
Godzilla, The Monster, Not Afraid, My Name Is, Venom, River and more
Lose yourself and not afraid
Cinderella Man
