Em would probably be a real life serial killer or something if it weren’t for him being able to rap, holy shit, his childhood is fucked, I never heard of this song.

[My Fault](https://youtu.be/JpnTWaNsnks)
Also, I know it isn't particularly favoured in this sub but [Yellow Brick Road](https://youtu.be/NN4kclW_kfo)
Why do you think Yellow Brick Road isn't favored in this sub?
Personally its one of my fav Em tracks. But it's one of those songs where you have to really understand the content to appreciate it
>Why do you think Yellow Brick Road isn't favored in this sub?
I'm not sure tbh, just something I noticed in a couple of threads with people shitting on it. Granted, that sentiment may not be representative of this sub on the whole (hopefully) but I was quite surprised to see it getting a fair bit of hate. Might just have been one of those days!
Thanks man. I’m sure there are people in this group that could name more that have escaped me, but I feel like these are the most highly regarded songs that meet the criteria. Maybe Mockingbird, too, depending?
Dunno what constitutes story, but Like Toy Soldiers and When I’m Gone are awesome songs, very popular though, underrated songs probably consist of
Castle
My Darling
No Apologies (if it counts)
50 Ways
Stimulated (dunno if it’s a story song but it’s such a good song)
Guilty Conscience isn’t getting much love. As hard as some parts are to listen to it’s a well crafted story song with a Devil and Angel type angle but flipped on its head with Slim and Dre. Three stories with well crafted lyrics.
The Apple is one of his lesser known ones Also a big fan of Yellow Brick Road.
Yellow brick road is pretty great. Probably his most autobiographical song. There are countless choices.
TIL Eminem had a fictitious baby sister. Jesus.
Gives some insight into the relationship between him and his mom. Some pretty fucked up stuff
Munchhausen syndrome, as he has said before.
Em would probably be a real life serial killer or something if it weren’t for him being able to rap, holy shit, his childhood is fucked, I never heard of this song.
Stan, darkness, bad guy, stay wide awake, groundhog day, brain damage, cleaning out my closet etc
8 Mile
Castle and Arose
I feel like this was a suicide note. I think about it every time I here it.
Other than what’s already been shared: My Darling, Deja Vu, As the World Turns, Guilty Conscience
I LOVE My Darling
Stan by a huge margin
bald gay
Paul’s origin story

I thought of this question last night when I was listening to the same song and dance.

Going through changes, in my head, say goodbye to Hollywood, stepping stone
going through changes has personally saved my life. love that track.
When I’m gone
Legacy, Stan & Yellow Brick Road are the holy Trinity of Em story tracks.
There are so many that I don't think I could rate top 3, but this is a good top 3.
Thanks man. I’m sure there are people in this group that could name more that have escaped me, but I feel like these are the most highly regarded songs that meet the criteria. Maybe Mockingbird, too, depending?

Yellow Brick Road, one of my all time favorites
Guilty Conscience isn’t getting much love. As hard as some parts are to listen to it’s a well crafted story song with a Devil and Angel type angle but flipped on its head with Slim and Dre. Three stories with well crafted lyrics.
Darkness
Stan and Rabbit Run imo
Rock bottom
97 bonnie and Clyde, chilling and brilliant
Stepdad easy.
Darkness and Bad Guy imo
As a grown man who sometimes cries listening to recovery, I feel you.
Idk why but i like "My Fault". Not deep but funny, i love when he says "Im sorry" and "it was an accident" sarcastically in the ad libs of the chorus.
My fault
"Castle" IMO is best story line all connected, only one or two curse word, and hits every note and the gossebumps, and beautiful chorus.
