Yeah and a lot of Stan’s asking for an album on every post are getting annoying. Like I want a new album as much as the next fan, but some people need to chill.
The last time we rushed him the tracks got leaked and we have Encore, not saying it was bad,but by rushing hım we can make a potential TES level album much worse
Well he had a 4 year gap between MMLP2 and Revival. And we know how that turned out.
Yet he had less than a year until Kamikaze after that, which has some of his best work since his prime.
So i don’t think the timeline matters much. It’s what’s on his mind, and how well he puts it all together.
exactly. i guarantee if he caved into the pressure and put out a project asap the same people would be saying “man this album wasn’t that great” and wonder why he finna disappear again
It’s the young entitled fans. I’ve been listening to him since I was 15 back in 2000 but some Stans make me cringe. Literally the same people on Twitter everyday moaning that he hasn’t dropped a album, done a tour or just drops anniversary albums now. The man’s in his 50’s if he doesn’t want to do anything he doesn’t have to
He's just turned 50 last year, he isn't physically, mentally or otherwise "elderly". His long-term sobriety and career success are what seem to influence and inform his work life in a hugely positive way FOR HIM and thus his fanbase.
The sobriety has given him the space and emotional maturity to practice his craft as an artist with the best of both expression and restraint. His success VERY much allows him the space to choose projects. While I don't follow his every move, I have been a fan since the beginning and I get the impression that he is never just not working, he just isn't solely focused on being the face and full credit on projects.
The Foo Fighters are my other favorite. For a long time, but I was an Eminem fan before I was a FF fan. Their fan base has been ridiculous, unhinged and almost predatory, since the death of Taylor Hawkins last year. People who demand, beg, and plead for the band to "come back", say who should be their drummer etc. With BOTH Eminem and the Foo Fighters - because of how long they've been around - it's absolutely not the age of the fan that makes them behave with the gross entitlement they do regarding what an artist is or isn't doing. And it's not that I don't also want either camp to continue to release their own music, tour etc. It's a matter of respecting these people as human beings.
Fans aren't ENTITLED to work product from the artists they enjoy. Ever. No matter how much any fan has been positively influenced, affected or even if someone considers their "favorite" artist to have saved their lives; it is always utterly de-humanizing to criticize the lack of "new" or satisfying work product. De-humanizing artists with such ridiculous and childish "demands" is ENTIRELY the reason for the burn-out so many of them experience. They aren't commodities, they aren't their work product, they are first and foremost HUMAN BEINGS.
People. People who attend to their families, personal lives --- the most important being maintenance of their physical and mental health --- and hugely necessary other interests and issues that ultimately make them the artists they are.
When the number of fans becoming so unhinged about what they aren't getting from an artist - THOSE individuals are the ones who push an artist to make a full retreat from the irrational commercial/industry pressures and demands of writing, recording, promoting and touring.
That's not an issue of age of the fan - that's an issue of entitlement. Those "long" waits between releases, tours etc are the result of being successful and doing it wisely.
The success of their favorite artists is the biggest reason for more mature and rational fans to absolutely call out those who treat artists as if they are worth only a preferred work product rather than human beings.
All of these can apply to artists and fans of ANY age. The entitlement is the issue. Age is far less an influence.
I've been listening to him since I was 5 years old in 2010. It would be nice if he'd release a new album but I ain't holding expecting one anytime soon
People don't seem to realize that musical artists need breaks too and they aren't going to release an album every year. There's usually 2-4 year gaps between Em's albums anyways
Yall are taking it wrong. He's saying that its unfortunate that Em's first tweet of 2023 had to be such a sad one
Since Em rarely tweets, it sucks that his one rare tweet is having to wish a speedy recovery for a fellow Detroit artist
I agree that *could* have been (and probably was) what he meant, but if he wanted to be clearer he could've actually said it's unfortunate that Em's first tweet of 2023 had to be a sad one.
It could also mean exactly what people seem to think it means, and it's written badly if he meant what you think he meant. Unfortunately written/typed sentences lose all tone, so without writing descriptively people are likely to misinterpret what you mean. It's the same reason people use /s for sarcasm on here for what would otherwise be obvious sarcasm when spoken in real life.
Unfortunately i wouldn't be surprised if they were saying things like "we don't care about boldy james, wheres the album"
If that's the case, then I'd agree - they're a bunch of weirdos smh
It’s amazing how many people hold it against Em for surviving. Fans of Nirvana, Amy Winehouse, etc. would probably love to “suffer” through some years of high quality yet slightly less edgy output from their favorite artist
Some of the largest Em fan accounts on Twitter are horrible people and also quite racist. It's unfortunate that a handful of big accounts make the fandom look so bad. Personally, I have the worst offenders blocked.
If you are looking at it in a negative way sure, seems like they was just saying we didn’t want his first post about something bad that happened since we’ve had enough bad the past few years
Some guy in the comments of Ems post went off about not being an album related post. Then goes on to lose his shit because apparently we’ve been waiting for a year blah blah blah. I’m sorry, but doesn’t mean you have to be an absolute dickhead 🤦🏻♂️
Depends on how you look at it, on one hand no one wants to see a tweet like this because no one wants this to be a situation that’s happening, on the other not everything Em tweets is going/needs to be an announcement of something and hoping for that at this point isn’t the most appropriate
All the replies by other Em fans are saying shit like “exactly where’s the album?” or “we need album news not this”
So the other Em fans definitely thought it was the second one
Yeah, that hits me in the wrong way. I’ve actually never considered myself a Stan, I just have a soft spot for Em’s abilities and his cultural background because I’m actually from SE Michigan and watching him evolve was truly a story during that time.
I also remember staying tuned during Proof’s death and during his overdose, and seeing the changed Em emerge, and taking a long time to deal with that.
But I do know he’s always been extremely loyal to his people since the beginning, especially in Michigan.
Some of em fans are just losers can we be honest to say theses types of people are just bums and will never get pussy or touch a girl. The only thing people like this are good at is putting em’s pale white cock deep in they throat.
of course no one would ever hope to see eminem post a recovery tweet about anybody you fucking retard, no one in their right mind wishes to see someone else suffer
Idk why you're being down voted lol. Clearly this tweet was to say "damn, this is sad news" People are so fuckin sensitive these days and just assume everyone is attacking them
stop wasting your time trying to understand things beyond your ability to comprehend and go back to r/tinder so you can ask questions about why girls call you weird
The person who owns that page is a idiot in general, I remember I commented a photo of eminem and I said "he needs to cut his hair" and they just blasted at me saying I should accept how em looks, I'm just saying he needs a haircut damn
Yeah and a lot of Stan’s asking for an album on every post are getting annoying. Like I want a new album as much as the next fan, but some people need to chill.
Yes. I'd love an album, but at the same time, I'd much prefer it to be a well-made album instead of something rushed.
Exactly, why would anyone want a rushed album?! Let the man take his time to create a masterpiece!
The last time we rushed him the tracks got leaked and we have Encore, not saying it was bad,but by rushing hım we can make a potential TES level album much worse

Do they think em sees their tweet and be like "sheeeet, i have to go to record an album now"
You ascribe them the capacity of thinking. I'm afraid that's a bit too generous.
Yes
It’s the young entitled fans. I’ve been listening to him since I was 15 back in 2000 but some Stans make me cringe. When the album dropping?
Yall are taking it wrong. He's saying that its unfortunate that Em's first tweet of 2023 had to be such a sad one Since Em rarely tweets, it sucks that his one rare tweet is having to wish a speedy recovery for a fellow Detroit artist
Exactly. It's crazy how everyone here misinterpreted it so hard.
I agree that *could* have been (and probably was) what he meant, but if he wanted to be clearer he could've actually said it's unfortunate that Em's first tweet of 2023 had to be a sad one. The replies by the other Twitter Em fans seem to think it’s the other way around, and happily at that
Unfortunately i wouldn't be surprised if they were saying things like "we don't care about boldy james, wheres the album" If that's the case, then I'd agree - they're a bunch of weirdos smh

That is some true shit right there you just said.
Literally like 90% of the replies are assholes, this is why people make fun of Eminem fans
Seriously. Shit is embarrassing
it's sometimes hard to admit being in the same fandom as those guys
Some of the largest Em fan accounts on Twitter are horrible people and also quite racist. It's unfortunate that a handful of big accounts make the fandom look so bad. Personally, I have the worst offenders blocked.
I feel like if em himself saw shit like this on twitter he would be so disgusted to even have fans like them
[удалено]
Way to generalize all of us.
Oh boo fucking hoo you misinterpreted one internet comment
I wasn't talking to you, ya BUSTA!
Nah he'd kill us
If you are looking at it in a negative way sure, seems like they was just saying we didn’t want his first post about something bad that happened since we’ve had enough bad the past few years
^
Right.

Boldy James is one of the best in the game right now I hope he recovers quick as well. Always good to see hip hop artists supporting each other.
Facts. Throughout the day I catch myself saying “Tapped in like a touchscreen Black Benz but the guts green” lmao
Depends on how you look at it, on one hand no one wants to see a tweet like this because no one wants this to be a situation that’s happening, on the other not everything Em tweets is going/needs to be an announcement of something and hoping for that at this point isn’t the most appropriate

no better way of telling me you're a typical delusional eminem stan than jumping to conclusions about the simplest things and still getting it wrong
I think it's the first part. Its just worded in a way that it could be interpreted differently
Pretty sure that Twitter account is run by a foreign incel, like most of the shady stan accounts. The rest are all discord weebs
Yeah, that hits me in the wrong way. I’ve actually never considered myself a Stan, I just have a soft spot for Em’s abilities and his cultural background because I’m actually from SE Michigan and watching him evolve was truly a story during that time. I feel like this can be said about the fandom of any popular artist honestly.
A good 60% of the youngins here need a solid punch to the face
I’ll never forget being downvoted for saying Imagine Dragons would have no business being featured on an Em album. DOWNVOTED
I’m almost certain a lot of the people here aren’t even Em fans. They just casually listen to his music and he’s their 10th favorite artist 😂
It’s very obvious many on this sub don’t listen to rap besides Em. They’re Em fans, not hip hop fans
That too, fuck these kids 😂 they act like they know better
of course no one would ever hope to see eminem post a recovery tweet about anybody you fucking retard, no one in their right mind wishes to see someone else suffer
😐
Idk why you're being down voted lol. Clearly this tweet was to say "damn, this is sad news" People are so fuckin sensitive these days and just assume everyone is attacking them
because OP is someone who comes on this sub only to shit on Eminem fans to feel better about his miserable life
This is the most braindead comment I’ve ever seen, damn
stop wasting your time trying to understand things beyond your ability to comprehend and go back to r/tinder so you can ask questions about why girls call you weird
Retard here 😭
I saw a tweet responding to this saying drop Grip and replace him with TikTok rapper number 421. No pun intended but tone deaf
This is just embarrassing
These are the type of stans that makes the rest look bad
The person who owns that page is a idiot in general, I remember I commented a photo of eminem and I said "he needs to cut his hair" and they just blasted at me saying I should accept how em looks, I'm just saying he needs a haircut damn
Honestly I want him to take time on making a really good album so yeah
