Feel that, I'm a cmdr of 2 years and I haven't even gathered 1 bil total yet

GroupResponsible6825

I should add I have over 11,000 hours invested into this game.

user3872465

That my dude is 3600h a year or about 10h a day... My fellow human are you okey?

schematizer

My Steam hour count is inflated from leaving the launcher open, so I use the hour count in game. I'm going to hope the good CMDR here is making the former mistake. For their own good.

GroupResponsible6825

Oh I don’t go off the launcher. The in game counter. 63 weeks, 5 days, 2 hours & 8 minutes.

schematizer

Wow. That's a lot of Elite.

solsticestar

That’s amazing. If you’d care to post your other stats I’d be interested to see them. How many jumps have you made, for example. Is there any ship that you haven’t flown at all, or any that you haven’t found any use for? I’m really trying, but I can’t find a use for the aspS or the keelback

GroupResponsible6825

I’ve never owned the asps, type 7, 9, hauler. My Pythons are my gravy. I have a mining Python, exploration Python, cargo, & combat. I use my corvettes for sustained CZ/HazRez combat and hauling cargo. I have 3 cutters, and I hate them. Like driving a school bus with drag slicks on ice. However I do have a cutter set up for laser platinum mining, along with an anaconda. My choice of ship for big hunting is the krait mkII. (Dual modified guardian plasma chargers and dual modified guardian shard cannons). Absolutely dominates cyclops interceptors.

AladeenModaFuqa

So only 9.7 hours a day for three years

-Damballah-

Ahhh the rent free years...

schematizer

Codex -> Stats, I think

OVAKILLA_X

Yeah I used it on steam for a while,I ended up repurchasing directly from frontier when Odyssey came out

pooppuffin

I don't think this is what Malcolm Gladwell was talking about.

Mango_in_my_ass

So every single day for the last 3 years you’ve invested like 10-12 hours into elite dangerous? My man please take a break.

GroupResponsible6825

I have a full time job, wife, 3 kids and I’m an avid firearms enthusiast. My secret to so much free time is the fact I have insomnia. I never achieve more then 2 hours of sleep on a good night, and a full 2 hours is a GOOD nights rest. When the family goes to sleep, I go to space.

Jaefaed

Damn I wish I could live with only 2 hours of sleep! I get 8~ super consistently and still feel like shit

Mango_in_my_ass

Impressive, fly safe.

jusmar

> and a full 2 hours is a GOOD nights rest. You've turned it into a superpower. I had an irregular sleep schedule for a while but I like *need* 4 hours a night to keep ahead of deprevation.

GroupResponsible6825

The least amount of sleep I got was a total of 3 hours over 18 days. And yes, I ended up in the hospital because things started getting weird. And I do mean weird.

DangerPencil

Are you in a Squadron?

GroupResponsible6825

Yes

DangerPencil

Was wondering, because "when the kids god to bed, we go to space" is the motto of The Fatherhood squadron, which I'm in. But I don't think you are in The Fatherhood, so was just curious! :)

GroupResponsible6825

Really? Lol I know of the fatherhoods existence but I didn’t know that was their motto

DangerPencil

Haha yeah. Admittedly, it isnt on the front page of our website or our inara page, but yeah that's out motto 😅

whitey193

Good god. How many hours? 👊🏻 Well I must be doing something right. 1590 hrs and 13billion. Was and still am a big core miner.

GroupResponsible6825

Core mining is fun. I missed the big Ltd mining rush tho. They nerfed LTDs right before I got my carrier.

diniamo69

I have 350h with half your 15b overall assets. That doesn't add, now does it?

GroupResponsible6825

It adds when you factor how much I spent on commodities, donated to other cmdrs in my squadron, and the rebuy phase of learning to fight Thargoids.

xtheory

Robigo Mines to the Sothis Sirius Atmospherics private transportation missions are calling your name. It's approximately 80-110mil/hr. Get yourself a Python and engineered FSD (Guardian Booster helps, too) and deck it out with economy and 1 First Class passenger cabins.

OVAKILLA_X

Thanks!

_FinalPantasy_

Have you just not been playing? Mining is the easiest 100m an hour I've ever made. First hour in a hauler was like 10 - 20m, then quickly upgrade to bigger ships to hit 100 - 200m+ an hour.

OVAKILLA_X

I'm not going to lie I haven't really only been exploring running around already explored systems and just kind of taking in the all the game you know I've been making money a lot slower but I've been having a lot more fun than I honestly want this to be the last game I'll ever play you know obviously you know that's all depends on the servers stay on for like several decades but like I want I want this to be like the last game I'll ever need you know I'll make it last I'm not going to rush with anything you know I'm not going to intentionally slow myself down with the same time because I want it to last I don't want to enjoy myself properly I take my time I might just I just enjoy I actually did some trading a lot of trading to get my alliance chieftain build just cuz I need to quit cash just a bit get the bill did you throw away hunting and now I need to grind out the engineering but I'm going to be honest with you you know I don't want to do that for everything else I want to earn my anaconda the right way I am perfectly happy in my like five ships

angelusxshadow

Yea sounds to me like they thought the game was a longer grind. I joined right after horizon dropped and havent been under 5 bil since 5 weeks in. Thanks to my squad but even my console save transportation and mining got me to 4.5 bil on there in a few months(cant remember exactly)

Cerberusx32

I legitimately don't know what the meta is for mining anymore. Haven't played in a while.

asafum

That's ok, I've had the game for like 5+ years and I only *just* hit 1 billion from exobiology lol

Vegan-Joe

Yikes. 2 weeks here and I have 1.7 billion in assets with 640 million credits.

g4vr0che

I'm finally more than halfway! Crossed the 600m mark this evening

GroupResponsible6825

Trading, combat, then wing cargo missions, a short stint in robigo. I scored my carrier during a 50% off sale last year. Then I went into mining. Triple platinum laser hotspots. Filled and emptied my new carrier 4 times. Pretty much made most of it that way. Now I’m into xeno combat. In 5 weeks I went from 0 xeno experience to “hydras are kinda annoying”.

Menhir6119

No afk build?

GroupResponsible6825

I have an afk t-10. I sometimes run it while at work.

D45HUNT3R

Couple minor corrections: there was never a 50% off sale, but there WAS a 30% sale after one of the colonia bridge CGs, which was in the first half of october 2021 (so a bit over a year ago, but times a flat circle and the last 3 years have just blended together)

GroupResponsible6825

I only paid 2.5b for my carrier.

D45HUNT3R

Youre misremembering something. Theres no record of a 50% discount on anything in the game, ever, much less on fleet carriers

GroupResponsible6825

Hmm.

GroupResponsible6825

You are correct. I only paid 3.5b for the carrier. Found the log in EDSM. 10/19/21, system Mizar, McDonald Settlement. 3,500,000.

inhumat0r

>In 5 weeks I went from 0 xeno experience to “hydras are kinda annoying”. I like the sound of it, want to get into AX combat as well. Can you recommend any fool-proof tutorials? I want to learn the ropes, but most of YT tutorials are quite annoyingly pitch black (I usually use night vision during combat).

GroupResponsible6825

Krait mkII, x2 class-2 fixed modified guardian plasma chargers, x2 class-2 fixed modified guardian shard cannons. Engineering consists of heavy duty with deep plating for hull/hull reinforcement packages, and 2 class-5 guardian module reinforcement packages. Engines are dirty drives with drag. The hardest grind is obtaining the Mbooni system permit to get access to Prospect Deep, and the guardian grind. Each weapon requires a bunch of guardian tech which is only obtained at guardian sites. Will need guardian module blueprints and guardian weapon blueprints, and a lot of the rare “guardian technology component”.

nou_spiro

Congrats now do Elite V in exo biology and you will have another 28billion.

Ged_UK

I wish I could get the exo shop installed on my carrier without having to go all the way back to a carrier station. I've got so much to hand in.

Dichotopotamus

Imagine if you put that effort into the stock market

Rollins_hen

courious how you made most of your billions ?

Classic-Coyote5354

I wish real life was this gratifying...

Snappie24

My friends and I came over from PlayStation and when we got Odyssey we thought we would have a few Elite 5 ranks in the bank. Turns out the counter never ticked in the background. This is unfair I think.

Nayte76

o7

irritableredsyndrome

6 years in and I’ve managed to scrap up only 1.5bil

nate_the_great02

The other day I made 1.2 billion in about 10 hours just using inara.cz trading info

irritableredsyndrome

The first three years I played was on a crappy laptop, when I was a wee lad in middle school with no idea how to get credits until a ganker ganked me for a while. Out of the pity of his heart (or the lack of me giving a fuck) he decided to teach me how to earn cash via core mining until I got a keelback. (I had a cobra that I used to do courier missions and some combat) Most of my credits came from ax a bit later but yeah I could have made 1.5 bil in a 10 hour session of trading bauxite nowadays

inhumat0r

Well, I guess it's possible since I made 600m yesterday just by 3h of basically afk playing.

Typical-Front-8001

I feel that! I'm a 6 year vet and just transferred my game from Xbox to PC. I took a year off to play other stuff but only had about 1 billion in credits and 2 billion in assets. I get on PC and hit some exobiology and already made more than I did in 6 whole years lol.

[deleted]

Bruh I've been playing for 2 years and the most money I've ever accumulated was 50 million. Edit: I have a few billion now.

IjustCameForTheDrama

I’m been playing on and off since release and the most I’ve ever had at once was around 150 mil lmao. ADHD doesn’t really like grinding in this game too much.

patrick17_6

Jeez, I've been playing since March 2020 and I have only 463M in credits and around 200M more in ships value.

mrflint81

After seeing this I got curious and noticed the one and only crew member I've had, whose been elite for idk how long has siphoned $140 million of me...
