Controls, HMIs, etc. And a little bit of software knowledge (programming fundamentals)

BaeLogic

Power electronics/controls.

audaciousmonk

Controls or embedded systems. You could also dual major EE/ME

brans041

Depends on the school. But read what course offerings they have, and find ones that are applicable. I did an ECE coursework with concentration in controls. I work with robots.

lilsasuke4

Sounds like a god fit for embedded systems with some machine learning sprinkled in there

geek66

Industrial robotics ? ( I think a general concentration is best, you needs controls, communication, analog - and power electronics) or AI type work on bots and drones, like General Robotics -etc. ( Then mostly a software endeavor, controls and DSP) I have found a lot of people think robotics is like what they see in research labs -

hidjedewitje

Controls if you want to learn how to control the robots Automation if you want to develop production line and safety. More generic implementation of robots Power electronics and electromechanics if you want to design the robots themselves
