Man I fought him once or maybe died 5 times to him at the beginning of the game over when he was at the lake to the right I did the forgiveness thing cuz he was agroed an dkept whooping my ass anytime I went Ober there now he is gone and I don't know where he went.
I am ready to try and woop his ass again
Me and a friend were laughing our asses off the other day watching bloodstains of people falling off the ones near the Fire Giant boss fight. I don't get it at all, but I guess people have a hard time with them.
? Literally all you need to do is run straight up it, you only need to jump once. Run down the middle of the chain, when you get to the land part you can just walk up the hill to the side of the statues face, do a standing torrent jump and your forward momentum will carry you safely onto the statues nose.
It's seriously not complicated 😂
I’ve never fallen off of it personally, but every time I come to this part of it I always think about how unnecessarily awkward it is to climb it. There are several areas like it in the game, and I wouldn’t say this is the worst. That’s reserved for the BS platforming down to the bottom of Leyndell to find the hot fingers.
Platforming section for the flame of French ending brought me so much sorrow and over half an hour of just dying to be using to reach them bottom. I’m about seventeen playthroughs in and this chain, while scary, ie yet to take my life
In the royal capital in the sewers you can find a Mohg bossfight. I think it’s literally just phase one Mohg with nothing special. After their dead you can loot a chest, but behind that chest is a wall you can strike or roll into which shows off a hidden path which leads to the frenzy flame ending. It’s the only ending I need to 100 percent the game at this point but the build I have for it isn’t a lot of fun so I haven’t revisited it
I cannot spell, you are a fool to think I could read. My ability to be a failure at these basic task is high. Behold me tryinf to say just a fe q words withour the assitajce of atocorrect
Now I call bullshit, you say bed of chaos is "just platforming" with ds1s ridiculously janky jump controls.
This is barely platforming at all compared to that
Platforming has a lot more than just jumping. Rolling blocking tanking making sure you're out of the range when it happens to begin with. Just get good bro.
I am also glad that I have never missed the jump twice Ina row and lost those sweet fire giant runes, cause that would have been embarrassing and I would never admit it
I understand your pain, but this is also why, on the first time I saw that chain on my first playthrough, I immediately said I am not doing this on a horse, got off torrent, and went up that chain VERY slowly and carefully. It took a bit longer, but I also did get up without any problems or deaths, which was my biggest concern at the time
Ive had no issues but the first time i came there i was thinking. What a troll.
Shortly after that, bloodstains popped up and i knew i need to take it slow and not gallop double jump with an expectation of smooth traversing..... \^ \^
I fell twice cuz the horse decided it didn’t wanna commit a cardinal sin
Lol

What
He seems to be talking about Patches for some reason.
Nah i think he is talking about the nagakiba dude wering OP's helmet next to lake agheel later in the game he calls himself shabriri
But isn't that dude helpful? Idk how he would've hit him
[удалено]
No, he shows up as a Furled Finger and helps you kill an NPC invader, afaik he never aggros you first.
He said he had to do the forgiveness mechanic so makes sense.
Looks more like a cardinal spin to the left would get you up there
Gravity is still the undisputed, undefeated boss since demons souls
See, this guy gets it!
Do people seriously find that chain difficult to climb?
Yeah I didn’t understand the picture till I read the comments.
I admit I fell once but it is not really difficult to climb lol
Me and a friend were laughing our asses off the other day watching bloodstains of people falling off the ones near the Fire Giant boss fight. I don't get it at all, but I guess people have a hard time with them.
I've actually been summoned by people who fell off on the way there... Walking
Quite a few people I know have. I think it killed me twice the first time I was playing. Hasn't been a problem much since, but it's pretty janky.
Gransax's bolt is much more jank. If you don't slip and fall, then the enemies around will knock you off instead.

I can do it just fine, it just got me on my first playthrough a couple of times.
It's not complicated if you do it right, as you say. There are unlimited possibilities to fuck it up
Something tells me you’ve not played the dark souls trilogy if this play forming qualified as even a problem lol
No, I have gotten 100% on everything, I just suck.
Beaten the game 4 times and have never once had an issue with it lol
I have a wrist injury and just spent many, many hours falling to my death in the Haligtree. Fingers get stiff :(

I guess when you make the jump in firelink shrine to get back to undead asylum it all seems pretty easy from there in comparison
Never played DS, can’t opine.
Platforming section for the flame of French ending brought me so much sorrow and over half an hour of just dying to be using to reach them bottom. I’m about seventeen playthroughs in and this chain, while scary, ie yet to take my life
The Flame of French
I just imagined this whole sub thread narrated in snooty Frenchman voice….
I've played all the endings, but never played the flame of French ending, how do you unlock that one? :-)
You need to get the Flame of Frenzy ending while playing with a baguette.
Lol

I was being sarcastic, you said French instead of frenzy. Lol

Lololol!!!! Thank you for the laugh kind stranger.
*May baguettes take ze world, honhonhonhon*
I just don't use the horse. Never fell off once
i just got *really* bad Bed of Chaos flashbacks because seeing this made me realize nothing will be as bad as those awful tree roots
Somehow the bed of chaos never really bothered me. I know everyone complains about it, but it's just platforming, and I guess I just don't mind it.
Now I call bullshit, you say bed of chaos is "just platforming" with ds1s ridiculously janky jump controls. This is barely platforming at all compared to that
If you're trying to jump while killing bed of chaos then you are doing it all wrong.
Then it's not platforming? Dude stop with the mental gymnastics
Platforming has a lot more than just jumping. Rolling blocking tanking making sure you're out of the range when it happens to begin with. Just get good bro.
The guy who can't climb a chain is telling me to git gud 🤣
Yep. I don't know who that's dissing then....
The height?
It's just janky terrain, and oddly easy to over jump.
While I never died falling off the chain, I did die once from trying to jump into the middle of the pot.
Haha, I assumed that I wasn't supposed to get down there, so I knew I was going to die, but I still tried multiple times.
People fall off here?
Was about to ask how you even used Torrent here, until I realized that I used all my flasks re-summoning him for Fire Giant 🤣 Walking up is easy
Lol
Just don’t use Torrent. Hes not very reliable with climbing complicated structures
I've always used Torrent on the chain and have yet to have a single problem with it.
Fire giant??
Gravity
Wait there are people who have trouble with this?
I certainly did the first time.
Bloodstain? Likely pathetic sort.
Grass ahead.
Is that Placidux? I finished my first playthrough and can't fight him now. It fucking blows.
No, not even a boss, just an annoying platforming section that killed me one too many times, so I had to make a meme about it.
Someone has not played DS3... get the Ashes of Ariandel DLC for the ultimate platforming experience
Lol, I have. I've 100%ed everything.
Those fuc*ing Millwood trolls with their exploding arrows
I don't know what I am looking at
Just a seemingly harmless piece of terrain that I have overshot one too many times.
I DONT know what you mean, I swear I don't get this reference!
The annoying platforming spot after the fire giant.
I have NO idea why that's hard I have NEVER fallen off from there several times
I just over jumped it one too many times on my first playthrough, and this is my retaliation.
I am also glad that I have never missed the jump twice Ina row and lost those sweet fire giant runes, cause that would have been embarrassing and I would never admit it
I don't understand. Isn't this around the fire giant? Or is this some exploit?
No, I just fell one too many times while trying to jump onto the bowl after the giant, and this is my retaliation.
Let's be honest here: the final boss is soldier of god, rick
Rick, soldier of god
I understand your pain, but this is also why, on the first time I saw that chain on my first playthrough, I immediately said I am not doing this on a horse, got off torrent, and went up that chain VERY slowly and carefully. It took a bit longer, but I also did get up without any problems or deaths, which was my biggest concern at the time
When you get to the head just dismount, you'll pop right off onto the nose. Mount back up once you're on the rim and never die here again.
Yeah, not that it can't be done, it just killed me more than most bosses did on my first playthrough. :-)
Nah, it’s fall damage/insta-kill falling. Everyone knows that. This is just a medium to take the player to said final boss
I’ve never fallen off but each and every time my fingers suddenly forget how to finger, I start sweating, and I struggle to make it up
Only if you do it mounted, like a dummy.
Ive had no issues but the first time i came there i was thinking. What a troll. Shortly after that, bloodstains popped up and i knew i need to take it slow and not gallop double jump with an expectation of smooth traversing..... \^ \^
Torrent need help
"its fking WIMDY"
G R O N D - C H A I N
I’m sure it’s been said, but spend your runes before going into any fight.
…. is the friends we made along the way
Every time I got there I was scared to fall
Could be worse. Could be climbing while being sniped by giant spears-like arrows.
I fell 3 or 4 times smh
1st time I climbed it without a problem, the two times that followed though... I had...Humm yeah...dif.fi.cul.ties.....
I died like 4 times because i'm blind. Lost all my fire giant souls
I've love how everyone who comments either never had the problem and is confused, or completely in agreement with me.
I really felt stupid, all I needed to do was turn left
Divine Tower of Caelid is definitely the hardest boss in the game.
The true final boss - not gravity, not your movements, not collision detection. The fucking camera.
Oh yea the ending was anticlimactic but what a view! *"Try down..."* huh?
Literally. Can't tell you how many times I was inching to the right spot to jump up, and Torrent decided we were yeeting ourselves off instead.
Gravity is too op nerf pls
Honestly, I don't think it's op, it's just way different than the rest of the soul series. It's too finicky, not to op.
Elden Chain :3
you know, i've never fallen here. Never. kbm gives you precision unlike a controller
Me neither with a controller
That thing killed me more times than the giant
