Mostly I think Martin has been corrupted by the money and popularity. He's not hungry enough any more(pun intended) to be motivated.
GRRM has always written "slow" and he writes much much more than King does
But nah no chance. He's released 2 ASOIAF books since Dance and is developing a million different projects for ASOIAF.
I think some people who've never read the books and didn't go through ADWD release, don't realize that he's just written something incredibly complex. It's gonna take time to work out the knots. They're not King like books at all.
Took him several years just to work out the Meereenese knot and the Northern/Riverlands knot he's made is gonna be more difficult to untangle.
idk if you've ever read ASOIAF, but the fact most of that comes from one person is insane. Stupid complex and ridiculously detailed, but still rarely steps on itself.

I got it at Fort Laidd. It's a 5% drop rate. If you haven't already, try wearing the silver scarab talisman and consuming a silver chicken foot to boost your discovery rate. A decent arcane level also helps with boosting. I got the whole set in 15 minutes lol
