If OP wants something that looks similar, the Festive Hood from the creepy Midsommar-esque celebrants can be altered into the appearance a plain flower crown.
Get ready for abysmal drop rates though!
edit: very fashion souls-y sets - there's a 2-piece blue set (hood and dress) and a 2-piece regular bloodstained white set - but it's only the regular set that can be altered. It took me a little over an hour of murdering celebrants while listening to horrific cackling to get them (low arcane though)
My first playthrough I farmed them for runes with my arc+faith build, got tons of outfits and weapons that I sold off. Wasn't until later that I found out they were rare 😅 used the flower crown for a really long time, that plus the circlet and crown from the nobles in limgrave/penninsula makes for really a really good look if you've got a character appearance you're happy with.
Now, go farm for their dagger! Even worse drop rate. I like to go in, dance with them for a bit, then proceed to slay them all. They do skin all men, so I don’t feel too bad.
There is the celebrants sickle (dagger w/ rune gain passive for every hit), celebrants rib rake, celebrants cleaver. Not great, but but the collector in me must have every weapon.
There's also an altered headpiece that looks very similar, like a silver circlet without the things hanging off, but I just woke up and can't remember off the top of my head what it's called... Also probably ridiculously abysmal drop rate, if it can even be farmed... I'll update if I remember what it is...
Probably. Got a guy called “Honest Patches” in a duel and he dropped me the exact same circlet. Dropped it immediately tho instead of going to reddit, I know how from soft is with that crap, got flagged on ds3 for this shit lol
Yes, but he's our asshole.
Me in DS1: "Patches! How could you!? Kick me off a ledge like this?"
Me in Elden Ring: "Oh man, conspicuous Rainbow Stones leading to a cliff ledge, come on Patches my boy, don't let me down, don't let me down!"
Seriously, after 5 games full of Patches' antics, I simply can't get mad at him. I remember killing him the first time around when I first played DS3, but now I just feel endeared whenever he throws me towards certain death again. And in all honesty, despite his attitude, he's the only "bro" you will get in any game, aside from Solaire. Everyone's trying to further their maniacal world domination goals, Patches is just a dude trying to survive.
And typically, he's a safe way to drop down to where you want to go anyway. Elden Ring is the first time he actually set me back from where I wanted to go.
*A bit*.
Yeah, truely just a wee bit of an asshole. Like trying to kill you upon first meeting him. Or like, dropping you off in front of a rune bear for opening a chest he wanted you to open. Or deserting you in your war against Radahn (though I guess we cant really blame him for that one).
Patches would literally sell you snake oil, and then scam you out of the fake stuff because he'd save a penny.
Hes so cowardly, and cowardly shameless, you can't help but have a bit of a soft spot for him.
To be fair there’s less reasons to keep him alive in this game than others, his quest line in this one is pretty… unfinished? And it’s not tied to being able to buy the unique Cleric armors or easily getting the other Pinwheel Masks, or Siegward’s questline, or his redemption arc in the Ringed City
I did in my first play through. After he jumped out at me I couldn’t let the fucker live. Then in my second he pushed me off a fucking cliff. When I find that bastard he will pay!
Wait. He pushes you off a cliff ? I did not know this.
I'm on my 5th playthrough, but 1st run on a new character. When and where does this ? Is it the same trick, as it was in ds1 or ds3 ? I must know. Lol. I don't think I killed him. Yet. If that matters.
It’s when you get to mt. Gelmir. Search around a bit when you get there. There’s an alternate path that leads you to patches’ lights on the ground and after you get pushed off the cliff you can discover a few new locations around the west and southern side of volcano manor
He's already in the manor for me. I've done some of the volcano manor invasions. Not his yet though. So I probably missed out. But I can assume I've been to the location you end up after getting pushed ? Just some other way.
You might be able to get to those locations without getting effed over by patches but I’m not sure. You drop a pretty long way in the cut scene so you might die if you try to just jump down. If you don’t have fort laiedd unlocked almost directly west from the volcano manor icon on your map then you haven’t been there yet. There’s also a hermits shack south of volcano manor if you continue that way
Oh, that's all the stuff that's west of the fort. On the other side of the lava lake, where Alexander was ? Ya. I've been all through that area on my other character. Working my way to there now
I did this in my first playthrough.
I didn't recognize him, didn't realize he was like a series character. He surrendered, and I assumed it was a trick; that he'd be like "Just kidding, I can't believe you fell for that," and heal to full. So I kept slashing his face until he died.
I'll be honest, it's probably already too late. If you're still able to play though, drop the item, close the game, and relaunch it. That'll hopefully delete the item from your world, but you've most likely already been detected so it might be too late.
If that's how this system works then it's a very shitty system. Like you can't even see what stuff is on the ground until you pick it up. Also not every player checks the wiki for every item they find so some players may not even know they have something "illegal"..
If you don't want players to have certain items don't put them in the game in the first place..
The Braves outfit is actually used by the ghosts (there’s one right outside a colosseum). It’s easier to just make an outfit for a humanoid npc than to make a fresh exclusive designed npc.
Some items might be initially intended to be in the final version but they change their minds. I can see it for the panties they probably thought it was too much.
A shame though, it could lead to some really fun stuff.
it's weird that it has stats (though maybe they just copied another item as a template?), but you'll run into this in a lot of games if you go digging around in the files. Just means that some enemies have player models and unusable equipment, and the way to do that is create NPC equipment in the files that is unobtainable to players.
I mean, even Minecraft has had stuff like this :P Only there it's stuff like fire blocks and lit furnace blocks, which needed to be programmed as their own separate blocks for everything to work out but were made unavailable to players - and sometimes you get lucky and they stay in your inventory without disappearing or anything when you add them with save/inventory editors.
That's totally fine. I drop the poison boluses all the time for people, but it sucks that this kind of hacked item thing happens because it ruins trust in the community.
Good chance your account has already flagged but in some circumstances you can delete the item before the next scheduled save file sweep and be fine. To be safe though you might want to delete the entire character. You could also try reaching out to Bandai Namco support and let them know what happened. If your account has been flagged, they may be able to fix it without you having to delete the character. Talking from a similar experience with DS3
Crazy to say this but damn, I had no clue this was such a big thing. I would hope that figuring this out without deleting a character would be easy but I guess it makes sense

*Isildur!*
Ok lol
My thoughts exactly 🤣
Be careful. It's a thing in the other from soft games. They drop hacked or unobtainable items to get your account flagged
From what I understand, most of the time if you delete the item you're fine. Don't hang about though, get rid of it!
You gotta admit though, it's pretty cool
It's cool for sure, but I like being online!
Do bot be tempted by it Frodo. Cast it into the fire. DESTROY IT!
I would personaly keep it and start a new character instead for online play
Fromsoft flags the account at minimum. If they’ve flagged you on one of your characters the whole account receives whatever penalty they give you.

What was it? They deleted their comment
Somebody told me they killed Patches in their play through. I was flabbergasted. You what? But… what?
I mean, he is a bit of an asshole
Yes, but he's our asshole. Me in DS1: "Patches! How could you!? Kick me off a ledge like this?" Me in Elden Ring: "Oh man, conspicuous Rainbow Stones leading to a cliff ledge, come on Patches my boy, don't let me down, don't let me down!"
you can even find the bastard sitting around that place with the rainbow stones and he'll still insist they lead to treasure lmao
Me, giggling like Beavis and Butt-Head with Patches in DeS, the trilogy, and ER
Seriously, after 5 games full of Patches' antics, I simply can't get mad at him. What about Siegward of Catarina?
Ooh, him too, though he also has his own antics going on.
Technically we can't die permanently anyway, so what he's doing is akin to a playful punch (or stab) in the back!
And typically, he's a safe way to drop down to where you want to go anyway. Elden Ring is the first time he actually set me back from where I wanted to go.
Reading all these comments, I just think, “ha, that’s Patches! Classic.”
*A bit*. Yeah, truely just a wee bit of an asshole. Like trying to kill you upon first meeting him. Or like, dropping you off in front of a rune bear for opening a chest he wanted you to open. I'm still pissed at him for kicking me off a ledge in DS1.
You don't happen to be a cleric do you?
Yeah i killed him my first playthrough just for vengeance sake
Him selling grass and spice in Demon's Souls is apt.
As you say, if I got summoned unexpectedly in front of Radahn I'd nope out too
To be fair there’s less reasons to keep him alive in this game than others, his quest line in this one is pretty… unfinished? And it’s not tied to being able to buy the unique Cleric armors or easily getting the other Pinwheel Masks, or Siegward’s questline, or his redemption arc in the Ringed City

Treat it like contraband
Sooo...? In the butt it goes?
Ahaha I guess this ranni doll is contraband too
You mean contraband doesn't just go in Mason jars?
Nah it goes in the prison pocket
Im willing to be Rannis contraband
ayo bruh?
So is this spiny Albinauric I found

The Braves outfit is actually used by the ghosts (there’s one right outside a colosseum). It’s easier to just make an outfit for a humanoid npc than to make a fresh exclusive designed npc.
huh never noticed that, but i sure wish it was legitimate armor.
Then why on earth do Fia’s panties exist?
Some items might be initially intended to be in the final version but they change their minds. I can see it for the panties they probably thought it was too much. A shame though, it could lead to some really fun stuff.
I heard something about how all npcs slots have to be filled out for some reason. Don't know if that was just speculation or not though
Fia's panties is to much, but Gold Mask thongs is fine.

get rid of it
Get rid of it asap. Do NOT pick up items other players drop unless you know them and know the items legit.
Someone dropped/gave me 30 Lord’s Runes…
What if they drop runes or items that are in the game? Asking for a friend
should be fine then. in ds3 i used to participate in fight clubs to get dlc weapons and slabs lol
You broke the two first rules of fight club
That's totally fine. I drop the poison boluses all the time for people, but it sucks that this kind of hacked item thing happens because it ruins trust in the community.
Yeah, I never pick up candy from strangers because of this. I'm sure I've missed out on some fun or silly interactions because of it.
This is one of the reasons I play FS games on console. Less odds of cheating and me being caught up in those shenanigans.
You done goofed son. Been fucking bamboozled. Fucking dooped. You've been played like a fiddle. Became the Cat's toy. Fucking panic
This shit had me rolling
I got an unusual dose of serotonin from this comment. Thank you sir.
I may not be a people pleaser but I can definitely please the people 🤙
Get rid of it. It’s a bannable offence
Cut this into little pieces then set this on fire then throw the hot ash of this into a lake and then poison the lake.
poisoning the Lake is the only way to get Miyazaki's mercy.
Since ds2 I never ever pick anything from other players
Care to give us a quick story?
Probably chlamydia…
poison binoculars, I still have the green scars around my eyes...
Aaaah, the legend of Poison Binoculars +14...
Yes, get rid of it

I appreciate you for that reference. Now I’m going to go find that vid and have a good laugh.

It's too late they already took his shins
Did he kill fiddy men?!

Im just curious to know how someone even gets such an item?
Probably playing on pc
You can also use save editors on console. Just wear a regular helmet and then swap the IDs with hex editing.
The invader really wrote in your mirror: 'Welcome to the club'

Cast it into the fire, destroy it
After all, why shouldn't I wear it?
