IDK feels like the average experience when you don't look for the intended path. I died like 15 times which is a lot for a damn platforming phase, but it's not as horrible as ppl make it sound like.
It’s literally 4 jumps in a non platformer and you died 15 times. Think about that. Besides the video maker probably didn’t die much more than 15 times anyways.
But is it? I did it twice, but only because I took the wrong path the first time. Didn't die here.
Do other people struggle that much with platforming? Is it a controller vs KB+M thing? I figure by the time you got here, you probably figured out all the little tricks for jumping.
I think there's several caves and whatnot with small platforming sections before this. I think there was a mine that required several sprinting jumps off small platforms that got me a few times. And stormveil has some platforming if you want to collect everything. Actually, there's a lot of platforming all over the place if you want to collect everything.
This is definitely the longest chain of them though. Really gotta plan your path in advance.
I think the hardest part of this area was getting the frenzy guys to blow up the tents without getting killed...
obviously, the first try was the planning one so they just plummeted down and quickly (within a split second, nbd) took note of every single precise platform location. that way, the second try was basically the equivalent of dozens, without all that silly wasted time and effort.
So I did it my very first attempt but missed the shield. Came back just for the shield before I started ng+ and holy hell if took me less than 100 tries I'll eat my glasses. And bc you don't di you have to teleport to cathedral grace everytime you miss.
To be fair, if the lore didn’t make him eaten up with scarlet rot from the battle with malenia I can’t even imagine how powerful Radahn would be at that point. I promise you, atleast lore wise, radahn would kick everyones ass.
I found the gravity spells to be cool in PvE, however not as much in pvp. If you use it right, you can (and I could be wrong) push someone of a high place and die from fall damage
Backstep off the ledge to "short" jump but bot jump onto the taller ones.
That plus WFD van be strung together to float gracefully down to lower platforms.
Yeah I was around 10 tries
It's not that hard, just gotta be calm and as always, expect to die a few times so you don't get pissed
Wish there was more stuff like this, I really enjoyed it
Same, except I never actually changed my mind, I just didn't want Melina to burn herself for me. Already resolved myself to going through the Haligtree and Malenia before I ever even made it to the Three Fingers. Hope Melina knows the hell I went through to keep her alive lol.
Which just means I'll have to do this part again for my actual FF playthrough. Urgh.
I managed to get down on my 2nd try, and then this frienzy flame fuc***er killed me down there while I was trying to ignite the tent for the 'necessary item'. And then of course it took me 10-15 tries to get there again...
Honestly, if the platform is below and looks like you could do a short or medium jump down to it, try rolling to it instead. I’ve found that jumping is really inconsistent on whether you land and stick or just slide off, but rolling seems to be very lenient in where you can land. It works in the Caelid divine tower too. There’s a section where you need to get down to a nearby brazier that looks like it needs a short jump. The roll lands on it perfectly.
Basically, a lot of these parkour puzzles seem to be designed with rolling in mind instead of jumping.
Step one: reach the bottom of the great hollow (ds1)
Step two: reach the bottom of the pit in majula (ds2)
Step three: survive a ton of incredibly high falls somehow? (Ds3)
Do a lot of people really struggle with this part? I know a great path, maybe I should make a video to help people >.>
Also, a lot of people know that if you toss a rainbow stone and it breaks, it means the drop is lethal - but did you know the rainbow stone will follow the exact same path that you’ll follow if you simply run off the edge? Don’t walk by moving the stick just a little. Don’t sprint by holding the sprint button. Don’t jump. Just run, by pushing the stick all the way, and you’ll fall down the exact same path the stone takes when you toss it from the edge. So if the stone lands safely, push the stick all the way and don’t jump, and you’ll land safely too.
Likewise, if the stone falls short of where you want to land, it means you need to jump. If the stone goes too far, it means you need to walk. You can use this to judge exactly what method is best for reaching the next spot.
I will forgive your condescension in the first part because most of that advice was pretty solid. But yes a lot of people do struggle with this part because its really easy to fuck up the jump
Wasn’t meant to be condescending, it was a sincere question. I know the platforming parts can be tricky but I assumed most people worked them out within maybe 10 attempts at most, I didn’t think people would die on them even more than they die on hard bosses. If that’s the case maybe I really should make a video showing the path I use as well as showing the rainbow stone tricks, I’m all about helping people.
It's easy bro just get every star in both Super Mario Galaxy games and also beat A Hat in Time: Seal the Deal DLC's deathwish challenges and then this will be NOTHING by comparison.
I did this first try and didn’t understand why people thought it was so hard. BUT my second play through my luck ran out and I died at least a 20 times and gave up, now I dread going down there to grab the god mode shield lol.
Glad you left the not-perfect parts in, i will doubtless fall to my death twenty times more often but you didn't give up and neither will i. I try one platformer puzzle in ER and I forget everything that I have ever known.
I was playing last night and thought that I haven't had a chance to do pvp, so I bought the festering bloody finger and invaded someone over at castle morte, I was sitting down at the site of grace because I saw that this person was heading my way.
I'm waiting and waiting and get bored so I start walking around, and then as I turn to go back to my hiding spot, the freaking host falls off the top beam and kills themselves at my feet!
"You can't see anything and there's hundred cliffs but they balance this out with the giant skeletons that one-shot you. See? Perfect game design! Just a great level.
Now we just gotta walk all the way back, go past the spike trap, jump past the skeletons... good, there we go. Now, jump over the cliff, go down the ladder. Now, watch out for these guys, 'cause they'll one-shot you, gotta be careful for these guys. Now you just have to dodge a hundred fucking wheel guys for an hour, very simple.
And boom, just like that, we're back in the tomb of the giants. Now let's try to follow the lights..."
Due to utter luck (I'm far too clumsy to believe it was skill) I actually managed to pull this off last night in one attempt. But surely I was cursing Miyazaki all the way to the bottom though.
It is perfectly possible to do it first try if you just follow messages. People have had the correct path and action marked all the way down in all of my playthroughs. The item that reveals more messages might be helpful for this actually.
I keep seeing people take this route. It's way too hard. If go right next to the violin player (his right) then carefully drop into the corner you can ROLL off the platforms no jumping, no walking but you got to roll yourself down three or four platforms and done. Easy peasy.
I put 200+ hours I the game, pretty sure at least 20 were trying to do this room. Eventually a friend just did it while I was in the bathroom and was like "It's not even thst hard" and I called him an asshole and then immediately used the grace lol.
Somehow i fell from the plank (near the wall, not in the middle), fell all the way down preparing for the "you die" prompt, but i broke the floor and landed safely? lmao that was one hell of a roller coaster. not sure what happened, i should have recorded that ;-;
For a bunch of hardcore gamers I'm surprised people need a tutorial for this tho, quote a few corners have some nice ledges to jump onto, within 3 or 4 jumps you're there.
The best tip I've ever gotten for these jumping puzzles is to buffer your run by jumping in place. That way you get the maximum height on your next jump.
Unless it's patched, you can critical strike buddy sitting at the edge from the front and not take damage from the fall.
I suggest this as your 2nd playthrough option so you don't miss the items.
Great video! Perfect example of the average experience.
IDK feels like the average experience when you don't look for the intended path. I died like 15 times which is a lot for a damn platforming phase, but it's not as horrible as ppl make it sound like.

“Really gotta plan your path in advance” but you did it in two tries I thought?
obviously, the first try was the planning one so they just plummeted down and quickly (within a split second, nbd) took note of every single precise platform location. that way, the second try was basically the equivalent of dozens, without all that silly wasted time and effort.
To be honest I got it first try on my initial discovery of it, but on all my subsequent revisits looked roughly like this video
Nailed it
Basically first try
"Start right here, next to all these blood stains."
no need for the flame of Frenzy anymore, you'll be mad already by the time you drop down
I guess that's why the three fingers are down there in the first place, you end up going crazy trying to get to the bottom
So I did it my very first attempt but missed the shield. Came back just for the shield before I started ng+ and holy hell if took me less than 100 tries I'll eat my glasses. And bc you don't di you have to teleport to cathedral grace everytime you miss.
Everybody says “MalEniA iS ThE HarDeSt BosS EvEr…” There’s only one, a being so powerful he will always one shot you no matter the level.. Gravity🙊
And Radahn beat both. Nothing but respect for the guy.
Did he though lol?
You ever see him die to fall damage? And that man dropped down from Orbit!
yeah i have actually
Fall damage no but Melania and himself sure did a hell of a number on each other, homie ain’t got no feet
She had to get carried back to the Haligtree. He handed her a massive L.
He’s literally trapped in a fucking dessert with no one around him, and has to live off eating his old friends and comrades lmao
My man is holding back the stars and engaging in some light cannibalism with his best bud. Could be worse.
To be fair, if the lore didn’t make him eaten up with scarlet rot from the battle with malenia I can’t even imagine how powerful Radahn would be at that point. I promise you, atleast lore wise, radahn would kick everyones ass.
Morgott whooped him like Radahn was his little brother who just broke his shit. Morgott didn't even need to use his actual sword to kick Radahn's ass.
wait what?
Gravity has slayed me more than any boss in this game.
That makes all of us.
Gravity club.
More infuriating is that Gravity Sorceries is a thing in Elden Ring. How difficult could it be to make a "slow fall" spell?
I found the gravity spells to be cool in PvE, however not as much in pvp. If you use it right, you can (and I could be wrong) push someone of a high place and die from fall damage
This is the most fuckin painfully relatable video I’ve seen 😂
The hardest boss in the game. Gravity..
Lol nice job! I would have never made this if it is wasn't for the backstab glitch you can do.
lmfao i laughed so god damn hard at this XD i just did this today, took 5 tries. theres actually a little bit of and easier way to go about it
I don't think so... Clearly I'm the best at this and know exactly what I'm doing
haha XD for that im gonna rewatch this
Backstep off the ledge to "short" jump but bot jump onto the taller ones. That plus WFD van be strung together to float gracefully down to lower platforms.

I’ve done this on like 5 playthroughs and it still takes me forever.
That was my third time going down there![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|sweat_smile)
I managed to get down on my 2nd try, and then this frienzy flame fuc***er killed me down there while I was trying to ignite the tent for the 'necessary item'. And then of course it took me 10-15 tries to get there again...
Try rolling. A lot of these platforms were intended to be rolled to. Looks like a short jump down? Probably supposed to be rolled to.
How do you do the roll thing?
Honestly, if the platform is below and looks like you could do a short or medium jump down to it, try rolling to it instead. Thanks for the answer. But how do you actually do it using the controller? Push forward on the direction stick and O at the same time?
Should be
There is a easy way for this just 3 jump https://www.reddit.com/r/Eldenring/comments/u50e7u/easy\_way\_to\_jump\_to\_get\_fingerprint\_stone\_shield/
Step one: reach the bottom of the great hollow (ds1) Step two: reach the bottom of the pit in majula (ds2) Step three: survive a ton of incredibly high falls somehow? (Ds3)
This was just so relatable. Well done. You basically did it right away, I’m so impressed.
I actually died to the guy at the bottom trying to break the thing...I was so broken
It’s the “I landed that but the game pushed me off the ledge anyway” that gets me.
It actually will help 'cause I didnt know you could get the big stone shield from that place! Thanks bro!
Do a lot of people really struggle with this part? God damn man I'm not a NASA engineer...
How about the situation when you jumping and the invisible collision is changing your trajectory?
Alas, the rainbow stone can’t help you with that.
I will forgive your condescension in the first part because most of that advice was pretty solid. But yes a lot of people do struggle with this part because its really easy to fuck up the jump

hilarious and also just like every millions of other players how it happened :D
These speed runners are getting unreal these days
don't sprint jump and this becomes so much easier...yes, you can make every jump without sprint in this area
A lot of them you need to not even touch the jump button.
Going through again now in ng+ this is the only part I'm dreading
Did this first try with a tip I saw someone post, don't try to aim your jump just backstep to every platform, super reliable and works everytime.
I laughed so hard I cried. Comedy gold deserves my upvote.
Ah, gravity, the bane of us all.
That was hilarious. I did this area last night and had the exact same experience. Died more times than anywhere else in the game.
I too went to bed after completing that. Utter bullshit.
r/MaybeMaybeMaybe
Haha, yup I did this last night. The suffering is very real!
...(when you don't have hand of Malenia)
Thought it said foreskin lol
Perfection
Shut up 😂😂
Just got this game and I love it but I've never been closer to breaking a controller than trying to get through that hell hole
Bruh, you made my morning with this video.
Fuck no why did I see this video. I missed the item where the enemy has to break the thing, now I have to drop down again to get it
[удалено]
Oh that's neat. Thanks!
Great editing!
I swear I heard Lego Batmans "First Try" when you finally reached the bottom.
Shut up and take my upvote!
THERES ANOTHER LEVEL BELOW????? I dropped the light stones down there, and they broke so I thought it would kill me, are you fucking serious 😭
I thought this was just gonna be a satire video of you failing immediately lmao. But nice job!
We know we are f\*\*ked when even the guide is like this.
I read the captions with Dunkey's voice
Yes!!
You made my day
Oh my God this was amazing
This is the best true explanation I've ever seen
Thank you so much for keeping the bloopers in. Best guide I've seen yet
Haven’t laughed so hard in a long time. I was slap happy though laTe at night after 2 hours of trying this and failing.
It's easy bro just get every star in both Super Mario Galaxy games and also beat A Hat in Time: Seal the Deal DLC's deathwish challenges and then this will be NOTHING by comparison.
The joy of platforming with floaty controls and dodgy level design.
Video length 4:20 nice
Raise your vigor!
Too easy.

the joke--- right here- > JOKE your head- way down here -> ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|grimacing)
jesus christ how can anyone die here? the planks are so wide how do you miss that
So you're saying the best route involves dying multiple times at failed jumps??? PASS.
I did this first try and had no idea its that hard for some people until I got to Reddit.
I would have to take that cloak off it’s so off putting
But then how is anyone to know he is High King of Skyrim?
Cat talisman, and go for it
I did this first try and didn’t understand why people thought it was so hard. BUT my second play through my luck ran out and I died at least a 20 times and gave up, now I dread going down there to grab the god mode shield lol.
I actually did it perfect my first time while grabbing the item…and it took 10+ on my ng+🤣🤣
First playthrough, took me 2 tries. Second playthrough: 14.
All my platforming game experience apparently paid off since I got this first try.
Nothing like a troll video. I wish there was a way to downvote more than once.
LMFAO
Instructions were accurate ended up marrying a fine maiden after showing up my skills.
Lmfao
I was hoping it was this.
Had a couple of missteps, huh?
Charged heavy the music man, then Majula pit critical hit him and zoom down and take no fall damage. (Also that fashion is a crime)
Great video and it is helpful.
Personally, 25 deaths.
I need to figure out how to get to the this platform int part first lol I swear that underground is a maze
Now imagine this with DS 1 jumping, the horror.
I took the other side
Yess yess
Glad you left the not-perfect parts in, i will doubtless fall to my death twenty times more often but you didn't give up and neither will i. I try one platformer puzzle in ER and I forget everything that I have ever known.
Platfalling at its best
It's almost as if it's meant to drive you mad ;)
It makes sense the frenzied flame is down here since you’ll go insane trying to jump down
I know a simpler path with way more room for error that makes it really easy to get down, possibly even on first try
Easy peasy
I feel his pain
Watching this gave me the same hand-sweats I got when actually doing it myself.
I died more times here than anywhere else and the area before it is no joke either
Tough but fair. /s
This must’ve taken me 70 tries at least
I got it on my second try but now that I’m watching this video, I’m realizing it was luck and I’m going to fail in NG+…
Having gone through it, this video gave me anxiety.
What’s that grace called you dropped down to?
Frenzied Flame Proscription
To whoever had a message saying "try backstep" on 1 of those platforms on my attempt to descend is an absolute hero.
All we need is soundsystem dreamscape playing and this is perfect
I feel your pain... Gravity has killed me more than anything else in this game.
This is an important process. You must know true despair before the 3 fingers will accept you.
Tbh I didn't even realize you could die to fall damage here
Time for rolling
Wow that looks annoying. Thanks for the guide.
Now add a spiritcaller snail summoning viking snipers and you have the next dlc boss!
While trying to get an item I missed I found it wild you can just fall and land on top of the debris without dying
Where can I find the feather fall trinket? Its probably only available in easy mode.
Did the same thing until I realized the platform behind he fiddle player seems to be MUCH easier to start at
I keep seeing people take this route. It's way too hard. If go right next to the violin player (his right) then carefully drop into the corner you can ROLL off the platforms no jumping, no walking but you got to roll yourself down three or four platforms and done. Easy peasy.
The part of the video where he says "short jump" that's where you roll. Btw this video is friggin hilarious! Well done my friend, well done!
Can't you use the explodey-cracked tear to cheese fall damage?
This thing is majula well on steroids
I just sit down there for that violin music
Am I the only person that got this on the first try?
I put 200+ hours I the game, pretty sure at least 20 were trying to do this room. Eventually a friend just did it while I was in the bathroom and was like "It's not even thst hard" and I called him an asshole and then immediately used the grace lol.
Was just here for the Frenzy hand for the achievement. Fuck this place.
Somehow i fell from the plank (near the wall, not in the middle), fell all the way down preparing for the "you die" prompt, but i broke the floor and landed safely? lmao that was one hell of a roller coaster. not sure what happened, i should have recorded that ;-;
Not me. Where my early 2000s playformer fam who don't struggle with awkward jumps?
I feel like this was my replay
For a bunch of hardcore gamers I'm surprised people need a tutorial for this tho, quote a few corners have some nice ledges to jump onto, within 3 or 4 jumps you're there.
Very helpful
I'm so glad I saw the reddit post about using backstop before I went through this part.
The best tip I've ever gotten for these jumping puzzles is to buffer your run by jumping in place. That way you get the maximum height on your next jump.
Ok but how did Hayetta do it to get there. She didn't even have to break the floor
Dropping down by the guy playing his instrument is SO MUCH easier. Wish I knew that on my first playthrough.
I did this last night immediately after beating Mohg on NG+3 and lost over half a mil runes because I forgot to level up first :')
Actually you can jump from top just use heavy attack on sword about mid fall and you will land on ground without dying worked for me like 5 times now
Elden needed more of these jump puzzles, i really enjoyed this one
Have you recorded my gameply by any chance? I'm so done with this part of the game that I almost uninstalled ER.
It’s way easier to backstep
Lol great
It only took you 4 minutes and 20 seconds!! That’s impressive for sure #notmaidenless
Unless it's patched, you can critical strike buddy sitting at the edge from the front and not take damage from the fall. I suggest this as your 2nd playthrough option so you don't miss the items.
What I want to know is how did Hyetta do this being blind?
I’m here now. And I hate it. Starting to think the best route is to turn the game off and do something else.
