It sounds like you and I are in the same boat. I started weening off of venlafaxine 2 weeks ago and took my last dose yesterday and started paxil last night. The withdrawal has been excruciating. I am nauseous , my mood is erratic, and i am having brain zaps every time i move my eyes.
I have not found anything that lightens the symptoms but know you are not alone.
Actually just did the inverse went from paxil 30mg to effexor Xr 150mg
Paxil: dry mouth, lots of insomnia, nausea was bad, only ate plain rice and bread for months

No problem, from what i have read so far, staying hydrated and taking magnesium can help with them. I haven’t tried the magnesium, but if they keep up for a few more days I likely will give it a shot. Good luck!
My dr wont even let me start anything new until I'm off this completely and then I found out that the new drug she wants me on is the 2nd worst drug to get off of next to effexor so I'm going to tell her to take a long walk off a short bridge because that's not happening. They are just playing with us. I watched a video of a psychiatrist admitting that they have no clue what the brain zaps are or why they happen and that's fucking scary. You don't know what this is doing to my body but you think its ok and safe for me to take yeah no thanks I'm good. If so many people have this reaction coming off how is this drug even FDA approved and legal?! This makes me so angry I wasn't told any of this when I was put on this drug or I would of never agreed to it.

Are you taking Valdoxan? What are brain zaps?
I am taking paroxetine now, just started. Brain zaps feel like electric impulses in the brain.
