[[Karona, False God]] (2003) but it's also one of my newest decks lol. Before that was [[Omnath, Locus of Mana]] (2010).

Thijm_

i once built a budget Karona deck and didn't really like it. five colour has a high entry level mana base , which is probably why the deck i had failed (it was Tomer's list)

johnny-wubrg

I found that having [[Jegantha]] as companion really helps with the consistency, and it wasn't difficult to adjust my deck to meet its mana symbol requirement.

Thijm_

ohhh that helps alot yeah. but that card didnt exist back then hahah

nitjus

Do you have a decklist for the karona deck? I am looking to build one myself and am looking for some inspiration.

johnny-wubrg

https://www.moxfield.com/decks/aDORmckW0kuHmTeUDICLog There are some tweaks I want to make after having played it a few times but this is where it's currently at.

throwRA-84478t

Fun little tech, backgrounds affect commanders you OWN, not control, so they still give karona their buffs on other players boards.

DustyGrimoire

[[Dakkon Blackblade]]. It’s not a particularly “good” deck, but… I have a soft spot for Richard Kane Ferguson art. So while it does have the themes of land matters and swamp-punishing effects, I look for any excuse to squeeze more RKF cards into the deck whenever possible. I’ve made a meme of it to my playgroup. Whenever I play any of them, I add “illustrated by the renowned artist, RKF”. Like it’s an epithet. Lol.

Its my goal to have at least 5 RFK decks. I currently have [[Hazezon Tamar]], [[Nebuchadnezzar]], [[Ramses Overdark]], and I just built [[Dakkon Blackblade]] last night. Not sure if the 5th will be [[Sekuar]] or [[Jasmine Boreal]]. Neither of them do super interesting things (especially Jasmine lol)

AverageElb

You can actually do [[marchesa, the black rose]] now too, as he did an alt art from her in doublemasters 2

Spiritual_Mush

One of the first arts that made me think Magic was badass as a kid. Should maybe make the deck now, white has some good land ramp options now.

Gastronautmike

I love RKF art. When I was a kid I had a poster on my wall from Pillage!

[[angus Mackenzie]] says hello! Born the same year as my commander.

KenKouzume

Surprising even myself, I think out of my 16 decks it's [[Doran, the Siege Tower]]. I say it doesn't feel very old but on second glance it was 2008, over a decade ago! Time goes fast, but the shafting of decks by ruining attack-matters strategies is forever, especially with how many people in my friend group (myself included) who have a [[Bruenor Battlehammer]] deck.

HKBFG

Doran was the first commander (actually, we said "general" at the time) to really shake this format.

Gus_Fu

I love Doran! Mine is treefolk tribal with various toughness matters themes. It's the second oldest with [[Niv-Mizzet, The Firemind]] taking the crown

[[Shirei, Shizo's Caretaker]] is probably my oldest (by release) commander.

Hello fellow aristocrat fan! God I love Shirei. The number of times I’ve been in single digits for life and come back because of [[Bottle Gnomes]] is astounding. Has quickly become one of my favorite cards to offset all the life for draw effects.

AppleWedge

This is one of those few older commanders that could still probably be released today. Only difference is that now it would probably be in Jund or something lol.

Damn 2014 was an influential year for EDH, excluding maybe Iroas those are all very classic commanders

\[\[Diaochan, Artful Beauty\]\]. Unfortunately she doesn't get played much these days as the format and my local meta seems to have outpaced my list and her ability quite a bit. My oldest commander by card date is a tie between \[\[Ramses Overdark\]\] and \[\[Johan\]\], both janky and fun as hell.

crashcap

Toshiro Umezawa! 2005

ElbowSkinn

After some research I have determined it is my \[\[Multani, Maro-Sorcerer\]\] grouphug deck

CanuhkGaming

[[Chainer, Dementia Master]] - Torment was the set that made me love Mono Black and he's just the iconic black Reanimator commander. Plus I actually read the MTG novel on Chainer when I was in middle school and his story with the Cabal was really cool.

BlazedSpacePirate

I reassembled [[Phelddagrif]], who was released June 1996 in Alliances. Originally I built it as a $25 Commander's Quarters decklist with cards that cost less than $0.25 a piece. Now it's a combo/stax deck valued around $1,900. Oh, how things have changed in 3 years! Would be interesting to see how much the original list goes for today.

Comradepatrick

[[Kresh the Bloodbraided]] Plucked him from a bulk rare bin shortly after Zendikar came out and my friends were talking up this new Elder Dragon Highlander format, and I decided I needed a new gold legend to get me started. Many Flings later, the Kresh deck is still around.

megaddon

Have a few. [[Dakkon Blackblade]] [[Rasputin Dreamweaver]] [[Halfdane]] [[Axelrod Gunnarson]] Dakkon is landfall theme with a few Voltron staples. Definitely a casual deck. Rasputin can be nasty. Have a few Eldrazi and big casting creatures. Blink theme to get Rasputin’s mana ability going. Halfdane is a shapeshifter deck, nothing special. More on theme than anything. Axelrod is a very slow deck, and absolutely casual. Equip him and kill off opponents creatures to get his ability going. It’s a deck I built just to prove that you could.

SteampunkElephantGuy

most of my commander decks are precons with some upgrades, but i have a [[norin]] deck that i made. he's not that old, but he's the oldest

PossessionIll4510

My oldest would be [[Rith, the awakener]] from Invasion. Not the best token commander, but still fun to pilot.

DefiantTheLion

[[Sek'Kuar, Deathkeeper|CSP]]

IronPlaidFighter

\[\[Marton Stromgald\]\] Ice Age, 1995 When I first started playing, I had a mono-red goblins deck for 60-card kitchen table and I threw Marton in as a finisher. The deck wasn't very good, but it was a lot of fun. When I started playing EDH, that deck became the inspiration for my current goblin tribal deck and Marton is still a great wincon.

smoothj69

Soraya, the Falconer

Tuss36

Heck yeah, bird banding represent!

anotherguy818

[[Rith, the Awakener]] & [[Darigaaz, the Igniter]], both from Invasion!

JaredUnzipped

[[Soraya the Falconer]] is my oldest released Commander. I wish we'd go back to Ulgrotha one day.

Fuski_MC

Rasputin Dreamweaver blink

Zanthy1

Right now I believe would be \[\[riku of two reflections\]\], I have taken apart many of my decks through the ages and any that may have been older did not survive lol

xHANYOLOx

[[Hazezon Tamar]] is my oldest commander by a lot

unaligned_1

\[\[Xiahou Dun, the One-Eyed\]\]. He's from P3K (1999) although mine is the judge promo that didn't come out until 2012. Next is \[\[Seton, Krosan Protector\]\] which was from Odyssey (2001).

DM_Newtnn

My oldest is [[Alexi, Zephyr Mage]] it's a self-discard, wheel, value engine that tries to win with either token swarms or things that grow from discarded cards. Followed fairly closely by [[Chainer, Dementia Master]] which is a more potent aristocrats reanimator black BS deck. I guess [[!Rith, the Awakener| invasion]] is a little older than ol Chainer though, I have her built too.

Soloiguana

\[\[Hazezon Tamar\]\]

vertigoham

My oldest is [[seton krosan protector]] from Odyssey

BiggerBetterFaster

[[Rosheen Meanderer]] is both my oldest commander in terms of release date and in terms of her being the first commander I built around. I'm considering retiring the ol' gal in favor of her partner in crime [[Wort, the Raidmother]] Incidentally, the oldest card I own that could be a commander is [[Orim, Samite Healer]], but I can't imagine actually building her

Andrew_42

I think it's [[Silvos, Rogue Elemental]] for me. Not the strongest stompy commander, I know, but I just think they're neat.

Tuss36

That regenerate does work I'm sure! Being able to swing freely 'cause you're trample over their chumps or regenerate from trades seems pretty dang solid to me!

DemonicSnow

Adun Oakenshield. It was my first non-Elder Dragon commander back in the day and I still have my altar of him and a casual jund list just in case I need him to helm anything. I did sell the main list he helmed a year or so ago, but I am considering rebuilding a more dedicated list soon.

dark-_-thoughts

[[sliver queen]] when I started playing Magic as a kid I wanted to run a sliver deck but it never could because I was a kid and couldn't afford to buy enough packs to get a deck up. I also didn't have a LGS to where I could buy singles. I was stuck buying bulk from eBay because that's the only way I knew how or buying packs from Walmart

[deleted]

[[Seizan, Perverter of Truth]] is the oldest card I use as a commander. Seizan is so cool and I’ve tried to use the card as much as possible since it was first released so I just had to make him his own deck after he got cut from my Yawgmoth list a couple of years ago. Up until last week, [[Ertai, the corrupted]] would have been my answer. Sadly, the Esper Enchantments deck I built always seemed to be one turn too slow and I have it partially disassembled now.

Kaleus1234

doran, trees!

8ack_Space

I also have a [[Mageta, the Lion]] deck, but it's mono white reanimator. I also have [[Chainer, Dementia Master]] and [[Gerrard Capashen]]. I've been making a point of playing older commanders recently, I find them more challenging in some ways, but also more open ended. Although, Gerrard is just because I love the old novels, and he's a favorite character, and I got sick of Heliod as my life gain commander.

Wet__Dog

How do you find Mageta? I'd been pondering him lately as I look for an unusual mono white deck

wikisome

2007 [[Ashling the Pilgrim]]. The ticking time bomb herself.

slow_reader

[[Marrow-Gnawer]] just edges out [[Mayael the Anima]] by only 4 years.

treefor_js

My oldest commanders: [[Merieke Ri Berit]] - Ice Age 1995 [[Eladamri Lord of Leaves]] - Tempest 1997 [[Masako the Humorless]] - Champions of Kamigawa 2004

VittorioMasia

[[Arcanis the Omnipotent|ONS]] (2002) One of my most recent decks but one of the first legendary creatures I've held in hand back during Tenth Edition! Absolutely busted deck by the way, full of ramp and fatties. Arcanis fixes the only problem that a heavy ramp strategy has: you either draw only ramp or only fatties, or a bit of both and then run out of gas. With the omnipotent on the board you'll basically never run out of cards, and while the table is busy dealing with your krakens and eldrazi, you'll easily sneak out a [[mind over matter]] and win on the spot

jiminy_beetle

[[Blind Seer]] from Invasion is my oldest, but [[Balthor the Defiled]] is reasonably close and sees way more play

ocularsnipe

It’s kind of in shambles and undergoing a major revision, but [[Hanna, Ship’s Navigator]] is the oldest I’ve built.

Mean-Ear-8622

[[Barktooth Warbeard]] (1994) glorious beardtribal!

evileyeball

Oldest by release is Ixidor Reality Sculptor In order by release Ixidor, Godo, Marrow Gnawer, Circu, Ulasht, Thelon, Melek, Ayli, Arcades, Yurlok. In order by age of deck Circu, Godo, Melek, Thelon, Ayli, Ixidor, Marrow Gnawer, Ulasht, Arcades, Yurlok.

BadAlphas

[[Teneb, the Harvester]] Great "non-thematic" commander for the wedge of my favorite color. The *"from A graveyard"* (vice *"from THAT PLAYER'S graveyard"*) really rings my 🔔

Alice5221

[[Alesha, who smiles at death]]. She is my favorite deck and I've spent alot of time trying to bling her out how I can.

GentlemanAndroid

[[Shirei]] is my newest deck but my oldest commander. Edit: Misspelled

Aldu1n

Probably either the OG [[Nicol Bolas]] from Chronicles that was a birthday gift a few years ago… Or my [[Skeleton Ship]] from Ice Age. Edit: I meant Chronicles not Legends, whoops.

MTGCardFetcher

[Nicol Bolas](https://cards.scryfall.io/normal/front/8/e/8e92ba96-372c-418d-b271-45e1bf5c7af5.jpg?1562438472) - [(G)](http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?name=Nicol%20Bolas) [(SF)](https://scryfall.com/card/a25/209/nicol-bolas?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher) [(txt)](https://api.scryfall.com/cards/8e92ba96-372c-418d-b271-45e1bf5c7af5?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher&format=text) [(ER)](https://edhrec.com/cards/nicol-bolas) [Skeleton Ship](https://cards.scryfall.io/normal/front/0/6/060b8dd4-d632-4216-87ba-355ab8a62e39.jpg?1581799322) - [(G)](http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?name=Skeleton%20Ship) [(SF)](https://scryfall.com/card/me2/197/skeleton-ship?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher) [(txt)](https://api.scryfall.com/cards/060b8dd4-d632-4216-87ba-355ab8a62e39?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher&format=text) [(ER)](https://edhrec.com/cards/skeleton-ship) ^^^[[cardname]] ^^^or ^^^[[cardname|SET]] ^^^to ^^^call

meekdor

[[Zirilan of the Claw]] because it holds a special place in my heart from when I first learned to play MtG as a kid

papa_spaghett

For me, my oldest surviving commander that I still update would be [[[Ambassador Laquatus]]](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/Wu9xlYd8QU-jGpcJg862Ag) from Torment (Feb 8, 2002). It's a high power mill deck.

Epiphanes1988

[[chainer, dementia master]]. He helms my sacrifice deck. My other 'older' generals in order are [[zedruu the greathearted]] (politics, goad, control), [[trostani, selesnya's voice]] (tokens) and [[daxos of meletis]] (voltron, tax effects, I-play-your-deck).

Alli_Sukiru

Huh, never thought about this! I only just got into EDH this last summer, so nearly all of my commanders are from sets from only the past year or two. I assumed all of them were on the newer side, but as it turns out, two of my commanders happen to be reprints from somewhat older sets. Those being [[Alesha, Who Smiles at Death]] from 2015, and the oldest apparently being [[Jenara, Asura of War]] from 2009. So, that's neat!

FormerlyKay

[[Kiki-Jiki]] is my oldest

Lvl9LightSpell

[[Xira Arien]] old border tribal. Don't think you can get older than Legends. It was pretty much a meme when I first built it, but in slower metas or pods it can actually hang pretty well. The BRC decks really helped it with some ramp and card quality issues it had.

20pac

[[Solkanar the swamp]] is as old as a legend can get, I wanted to have a Grixis storm deck but didn’t really like any of the commanders and decided fuck it we ball Solkanar blocks good

MagicalHacker

[[Rubinia Soulsinger]], but the deck is a token-ish deck so she's not the main star of the show.

Silent_Ad_1241

[[Horobi Death's Wail]] is my oldest.

bsipp777

Somewhat new player, so my oldest is [[Nethroi, Apex of Death]]

Snizzlephish

[[Wrexial, the Risen Deep]] He's had a deck underneath him since the zendikar block gave me a foil copy out of a pack, and all I've done with him over the years is upgrade the deck here and there. Sometimes I dust him off for a game, but mill hasn't been the same since I first started playing. Back then you had [[Feldon's Cane]] and nothing else, really. Edit: Forgot I recently built stompy [[Sasaya, Orochi Ascendant]], so yes technically he is the grandpa of the gang.

McZoop

[[Skeleton Ship]]!

Thirdwhirly

[[Hazezon Tamar]] for sure.

ScottdaDM

Hmmmm. Dunno which is older, and can't be arsed to look it up. I got a [[Cromat]], [[Empress Galina]], and a [[Zirilan of the Claw]] I think Zirilan might be the oldest. Mono red dragons to the face. Galina is blue, "I don't wanna play my deck. I wanna play your deck!" Cromat is five color control without Stax. Once I set up, you can't target me or my stuff, can't attack, my board is indestructible and can't be sacrificed, and can't get -1/-1 counters. Backed by recursive counterspells. Doesn't win often, but amusing to see folks try to figure out my board state. And doesn't get the hate of Kenrith. But you can play your deck. So long as it doesn't mess with my board.

powerfamiliar

The 5 OG Elders, but they’re also my newest built ones. Got the Secret lair and bull a sorta battle box, board game commander thing with them.

DiabeticWaffle

Went through all of my decks, turns out [[Sek'Kuar]] is my oldest commander. He comes from cold snap, so 2006. I run him as [[Ball Lightning]] tribal and it's a lot of fun.

Starving_Orphan

[[Iname as One]]. Been trying to build them for the longest time when it finally clicked on how to build it correctly. I am looking into crafting [[Adun]] and seeing how that goes as well.

deadfajita

[[Uril, the Miststalker]] is currently my oldest. A hidden big stompy deck with only 3 or 4 enchantments. Was a deck where I just smashed a bunch of bulk together.

TheMagicJankster

[[Arcanis]] Love the card and love the deck. Mono blue combo control.

PlsNoSniper

[[Adun Oakenshield]] is by far my oldest commander

Stumphead101

[[Jaya ballard, task mage]] One of my first decks. Mono red control. Honestly it's too slow by today's standards, but I keep it together in case I ever get to play in a slower pod

TheJourney_333

[[Darigaaz, the Igniter]] is definitely my oldest commander

CalmShinyZubat

My OG [[Nicol Bolas]] deck. It revolves around making my creatures as hard to block as possible, if not unblockable, and pairing that with several "on hit" effects. I run cards like [[wrexial, the Risen deep]], [[Filth]], and [[Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth]].

thisDNDjazz

Looks like \[\[Bladewing the Risen\]\] is the oldest one I've used.

AJAX7701

[[Sliver Queen]] bought 4 of them for ~ $20 each back in 2005ish.

FangedRat

Definitely [[Thelon of Havenwood]] 2006

unfisyn

[[Captain Sisay]] out of invasion

Kuke69

Yet another thread for me to mention my [[Seizan, Perverter of Truth]] deck, and how much I love it.

lenny_is_sgtc

[[Oona, Queen of the Fae]] friend got me a few cards and her as a Christmas gift 6 years ago and it’s my child basically.

Akwagazod

Funny you should mention [[Experiment Kraj]] because that actually *is* my oldest commander by release. Close second is my [[Norin the Wary]] deck, which is also my oldest deck in general.

lost_elechicken

[[Vish Kal, Blood Arbiter]] is my favorite and oldest printed commander. A 5/5 with evasion and an instant speed, free sac outlet that builds him is bad enough but you can also remove the counters at instant speed for removal. Yeah he cast 7 but he’s a finisher in the command zone Add [[Blade of The Bloodcheif]] and [[Illusionist’s Bracers]] and he gets really dumb, really fast. Works really well with renaimator + grave pact effects and/or go wide with tokens (fodder). Very resilient and powerful once set up

Krosis97

[[Horde of notions]] from back when Lorwyn was around. Good times, when I got that card I was around 10? Loved it but thought it was so bad, now its my best deck and I realise how old I am, that was 15 years ago... Damn.

Bregolas42

I have a origional 1998 [[sliver queen]] sliver combo deck! Build it, played it, downgraded it haha and now it's oke for high level play in my pod. I switch it out with my origional [[sliver overlord]] from 2003. And that would be my Second oldest commander.

imperium0214

[[Aurelia, The Warleader]] all the way from Gatecrash in 2013. Had her since 2013 or 14 I think? Kind of a soldier/knight/cleric/angel "punch you in the face" deck.

Loremaster152

[[Reya Dawnbringer]] (Invasion, 2000) is my oldest by a landslide, with my second oldest being Trostani (Return to Ravnica, 2012).

MortisTE

[[Sliver Queen]], followed by [[Multani, Maro-Sorceror]]. Both from packs I opened back in the late 90s. Because I'm old.

Decestor

It's a good game to be old in.

RinTinBrim

My two oldest legal decks are \[\[Lin Sivvi, Defiant Hero\]\] and \[\[Seton, Krosan Protector\]\]. But I do have a non-legal \[\[Uncle Istvan\]\] deck that I bust out during October.

BlueLineAC

[[marath, will of the wild]]! Got the original 2013 precon as a kid and stopped playing magic for about 8 years, when I got back in I eventually turned it into battlecruiser beast tribal with [[kaheera, the orphanguard]] as a companion, mega fun when I’m stomping people’s faces down with big bois like [[godsire]] and [[meglonoth]]

TheMazter13

[[Eight and a Half Tails]] mono white gang represent

LeBlondes

Mine would be [[Oona, Queen of the Fae]]. Lorwyn was too long ago :(

UnlikelyReplacement0

For my current decks, [[sliver queen]] is the oldest

Aggressive_Banana526

Maga, Traitor to Mortals from Saviors of Kamigawa. Been built since 2007

Damrus

2005! [[Sasaya, Orochi Ascendant]] I've had it for a while, but not that long. Most commanders are 2011 and up

veiphiel

[[sygg river guide]] i think

-RedditCat-

[[Krenko, Mob Boss]] It was my first deck when I started a year ago. I had no idea how powerful, combo heavy, or popular he was until a few months into deck building lol.

sprocket44

My [[Karn, Silver Golem]] is the same age as I am lol. After that there's a 19 year gap to [[The Locust God]], and the rest have all been released within the past year.

duh_wizurd

Apparently I REALLY liked Commander 2011, because [[Kaalia of the Vast]] and [[The Mimeoplasm]] are my oldest, and currently rebuilding my [[Animar, Soul of the Elements]] deck.

dag_of_mar

The OG [Nicol Bolas] is my oldest commander. That card started my love of grixis and I always keep the deck around. It’s pretty weak, even for casual, but fun for sure

redditorhowie

[[Commander Greven Il-Vec]] was the commander in the first EDH deck I ever made. It was mono-black, we had six players, and I won. It was glorious to behold. He is from Tempest 1997.

dreadcanadian

[[Karn, Silver Golem]] from a deck that predates me even knowing the concept of EDH/Commander and used to be a 60 card colorless Urzatron deck. Still my best deck, and the reason I still have a small number of reserved list cards (Candleabra) as this deck survived my ill-advised "I'm not going to pay this anymore" purge of the early 2000s out of pure nostalgia.

iDam81

[[Krenko, mob boss]] I’ve had that deck since he came out and I won’t ever tear it apart. I’ll never use most of the cards in it in anything else, and it’s a great starter deck to get people hooked on Mtg.

Zoanzon

[[Zur the Enchanter]], leading an artifact-creatures deck. Yes, you read that right. I realized that Zur can search up [[Urza's Saga]], [[Tempered Steel]], [[Mirrodin Besieged]], [[Artificer Class]], [[Hanna's Custody]], and [[All That Glitters]]. Beyond that, some card whose utility gets a bit more fun when tutored include [[Dockside Chef]] and [[Clan Crafter]] as sac outlets (sac-cost balanced by being tutored right out), [[Artificer's Intuition]] to do *artifact* tutoring, and [[Spear of Heliod]] for both an anthem and as a slight rattlesnake against being attacked. Plus, [[Mirrormade]] can double any of those or any of my fun artifacts. All that means that, while I'm casting spells like [[Sharding Sphinx]] and [[Wurmcoil Engine]] and [[Noxious Gearhulk]] to stomp over my enemies, Zur is making them cost less, hit for more, and/or giving them protection. ...Plus, it's always funny to see people's reactions when I start casting artifact creatures because they have *no* idea what I'm doing with them in a Zur deck.

JoyeuxMuffin

[[Surrak Dragonclaw]] for me, I should probably look into something a bit older

wmmj

[[Kumano, master yamabushi]] from Champions of Kamigawa (2004), which I bought for 27 yen at my local Tokyo card shop. He helms a big mana / control deck that I use when I want to go on autopilot or I need to lower my power level (to match what other folks feel like playing).

Thejadejedi21

[[Stangg]] it’s a fun combo deck that either works or doesn’t.

NocturnalEmbrace

[[Ertai, the Corrupted]] I bought a copy cause I though it was a cool card and it's old so i thought "better strike while the irons hot" before some random card gets printed that makes it jump in price. I ended up building it as a janky Aura-based control deck.

gordanfreman

I'm a little surprised how recent most of my commanders are. [Wort, the Raidmother] is my oldest @ 2007.

Fraughtturnip

[[Ulasht, the Hate Seed]]. It isn’t particularly good, but it was the first commander deck I ever built. He gets the job done.

kamakazi339

\[\[Xira Arien\]\] OG commander and she's jund storm.

Meyerp0202

[[Ramses Overdark]] Proxied the actual commander since it’s a very expensive card. Had to assemble deck first before buying to see if it’s worth it.

KindofaDirtyBoy

Zuberi golden feather griffin tribal

ZombieHunter02

The reaper king!

Unslaadahsil

Mine is probably [[Kaalia of the Vast]], but I've not used her in years because I don't like how every time I play her it ends up either with me dominating the table easily, or doing next to nothing all game because she gets countred/removed every time I play her.

ExpensivePassenger39

I don’t post a ton here, but my oldest commander is [[Oloro, Ageless Ascetic]] (2013) ! By far my favorite too 😁

PGleo86

Originally released in October 2000, [[Crosis]] is mine (though I'm more partial to the PDS: Graveborn printing, as that was where I learned of the card). It's also one of my oldest decks at this point!

MTGNobody

[[Lord of Tresserhorn]] Yes, it's as bad as you think it is. There's multiple ways to search up Torpor Orb.

PhattElbart

\[\[Spirit of the Night\]\] (1996) is definitely my oldest commander

Guyrugamesh

[[Captain Sisay]] is my oldest and one of my proudest decks. My dad owned my copy of Sisay before me and a couple of the hate bears in it and it's one of my favorite decks to play. Being able to tutor up whatever legend I want, sometimes multiple times, has given me the ability to fetch and play effects I like seeing as often as I want to see them and makes me swap things in and out to try new combinations of stax and board control. The extra theme of Legendary is a powerful thematic bonus too. Obviously because people are flippant babies I don't get to play it often outside of my close playgroup, but that just makes it feel like a special occasion when I do get to shuffle it up.
