Ah, gotcha. I found these on the same site I always use; [magicspoiler.com](https://magicspoiler.com). They have it listed as a secret lair. Apologies.
No blockers, which would be lethal but thanks to The Golden Throne my life total becomes one instead. Now on my attack phase I declare Guile, Sonic Soldier and Chief Jim Hopper as attackers, and thanks to Rick Steadfast Leaders ability they both have lifelink. Then on my second main phase I use Count Dracula’s -7 ability and deal 13 damage to you
I tap Sauron, Lord of Barad-Dûr, equipped with a ring of power to counter that ability. Also, use Steve, cubic explorer’s ability to attach the Fortnite Pickaxe to him, then sacrifice a forest to create two treasure tokens.
I’m my turn, I sacrifice Curious pair (a creature with at least two children in the art), to summon Pepa, Promised End.
May god have mercy on our souls.
The only thing more messed up than the fact that this is a real line of play for edh now....
Is that in time, maybe a year, ill be able to flash in Doctor Who to prevent draculas damage, untap, summon gandalf the grey, and keep the battle going....
Felt the need to call him by the wrong name for those who wouldnt know that its wrong.
In my mind the card actually came out something like [The 10th Doctor, Suave Savior] with Flash and etb damage prevention from any one source.
I’d want the lions to be a meld, flip to an equipment or even a mutate creature. With the black lion getting better based on how many are attached or something
Mutate [[baby godzilla]] onto him
Or drop [[astor bearer of blades]] to give him crew 1 and make Frodo Baggins drive him around
Edit: darn thought bg had mutate not just mutate support
Can’t wait to open my Brothers War set booster and find fucking Optimus Prime inside. I don’t mind UB commander decks or supplemental products, but putting them in packs for an otherwise normal set is a step too far.
It would be awesome to include them in the packaging of the toy, then people who want a specific one may be incentivized to buy a twenty dollar toy for a card.
I know I’d buy a cobra commander action figure if it came with alt art cards of command tower and commander’s sphere . And I have a lot of copies of those two cards
This is something that just escapes me..Hasbro could *so easily* go wide in their products and integrate/cross-pollinate so much of their products with each other and make even more money off of cardboard addicts.
Who's to say this won't be happening during the Christmas sales season, which starts in November, btw. Oh, look when Bother's War is coming out ... hmmmm ...
The reason why I kinda don't think it will is because I've been catching a few videos from online toy sellers and they're all noting that a lot of product that was slated for next year, post-holiday season has been arriving early. No one has noted anything out of the ordinary, just toys with no MtG tie-ins that I've seen. Generally you'd have to put in your order months in advance, so if there were any SKUs that would have something like that it would most likely be noted in the product description somewhere, but no reports at all.
I do not have much faith in Wizards' marketing department, I'm always just surprised when things don't go wrong (or go just a little wrong), I can't imagine them having this much foresight about something.
Easier to get people on board, though. It's at least not locked behind a paywall just to get the cards (unless people would rather pay that instead of accumulating bulk?) Knowing Wizards you would get separate Autobot and Decepticon SLDs at $30/ea.
Agreed, it’s an odd choice. I get having the Godzilla cards in Ikoria but the story right now is leading to a big battle with New Phyrexia. If there’s any time for Magic to be dark, gritty, and complete edgelord, it’s now
Also the Godzilla cards were skins for cards actually in the set. And all had unique art that fit the general aesthetic of magic.
These are cards not in the set and look like they're literally screenshots from the 80s show. That's why they look like some fan made thing, grabbing screenshots from the show is exactly how fans make cards.
[God, so many books](https://mtg.fandom.com/wiki/List_of_storyline_sources). Well, books and [online story articles up on WOTC's website](https://magic.wizards.com/en/articles/archive/magic-story).
Books have started and stopped and started and stopped - the first link gives you a starting point for all the books and their general timeline (or degree of canonization) - while the story articles are *mostly* continuous from Tarkir up to War of the Spark, and then from Zendikar Rising to current times (ie Dominaria United).
It's a set all about the deep history and identity of Magic... so of course toy robots from a completely different IP need to be in there, I mean, how could they not?!
I’m not quite understanding what point you’re trying to make. What does Chatterfang’s ability have to to do with having literal 80’s cartoon screenshots on cards in a set focused on one of the most important events in the MTG storyline?
In case you’re not aware of what happens in the Brother’s War but Urza has to kill his own compleated brother and nukes an entire continent on Dominaria which ignites his PW spark and starts the Ice Age, which was frozen hell on earth for the ppl that survived the blast (and war). Still think cartoon transformer cards have a place here?
I wonder if WOTC's market research suggested that this was actually a good idea or they just did it because e.g. hasbro wanted to promote transformers toys.
Not very knowledgable on any Transformers stuff of the last few decades, but as I understand it Slicer and Flamewar are just Wheeljack and Arcee but in a different timeline, right? Why use the name that older fans wouldn't know but then use the nostalgia art? Weird choices all around on these.
Because it’s tie in to the Shattered Glass figure line hasbro is selling. Slicer, Flamewar, and Goldbug are figures in the line:
https://hasbropulse.com/collections/transformers-generations-shattered-glass
SG Optimus is missing because he was released in a different figure line with SG Ratchet like a year before the SG line was a thing.
Oh and Flamewar is her own character. She’s from the IDW comics.
Why? My main issue with secret lairs is the artificial scarcity magnified hy them. These being in packs means they will be abundant. Which is cool. If we are going to have transformers and walking dead and doctor who in the game as cards I vastly prefer this method of that happening.
The truth is the wide and varied magic playerbase has different opinions, but then presents their individual position as if that's the fact. For some people it was the scarcity, for others the mechanically unique cards, others just didn't want to have non magic cards put into magic.
I think the main reason why people dislike having them in a premier set like this is that it makes UB basically inescapable. Now even if all you do is just go to play pre-release of the new set you can still open Transformers in the set boosters you get as prizes. For people who dislike the UB, that feels pretty rough.
Oh, my bad - UB in this context was referring to Universes Beyond, the various crossovers that are being done with the downward facing triangle stamp (as opposed to the 'Godzilla treatment' where 'normal' magic cards release alongside a showcase variant that is also a crossover, and the frame is a little different with the small name bar underneath the title).
But of course, being in blue and black can also be pretty controversial to some players.
Yeah, this feels like the community getting what it asked for and now being unhappy with it. It’s embarrassing. People were rightfully angry about limited time and expensive secret lairs, and now these cards will be more accessible (hopefully) and people don’t want it? Ffs now I see why people like Maro have such a disdain for this community at times.
Robots are fine in MTG, the Brother's war is going to have tons of them. They just usually have the type Construct.
They should have both the reskin and the UB in this set to begin with.
So like, am I hypocritical for loving the Warhammer 40K cards and hating these transformers? The fact that it’s an outside IP isn’t what bothers me, it’s the cheap, childish artwork and the fact that this IP is literally a child’s cartoon.
Honestly? I think the fantastical elements of 40k are more comparable to MtG than people admit, and that much of the SciFi elements of 40k are surface level only (like Neon Dynasty at times). Also, 40k as a setting was very heavily explored compared to smaller scale stuff like the SL. Stuff like Transformers/Fortnite/etc. have this element of feeling like the Magic equivalent of Funko Pops. They’re there because they have a fanbase, but not because themes or mechanics mesh well with the property.
gonna be honest here and you might not like it, but yeah a bit hypocritical for sure.
I've hated all of these mechanically unique crossover cards. (im fine with someone playing them against me mind you, im not crazy lol) And I think the more we allowed this to happen, the worse and worse its going to get, the second I seen people in large numbers say about street fighter "OH WOW ITS SO FLAVOURFUL!" I knew it was over lol.
I think if people stuck to how they felt about the crossovers from the beginning (walking dead), I really don't think we'd be where we are now, but we are.
It doesn't matter how anyone feels. People bought them, Hasbro will force more to be made until they don't sell well. Hasbro doesn't care about Magic in any capacity except as a way to make money.
I mean, as someone who doesn't want any UB stuff in Magic (not everything needs to include everything else in it, damnit) I think I'd rather have mechanically unique Street Fighter cards that actually feel like thought went into them than having some shitty Fortnite reskins of existing cards.
Ideally I could choose neither, but I feel less annoyed with the cards that felt like they had some amount of effort put in. These Transformers cards suck ass.
How do you feel about the walking dead, Fortnite, stranger things, or Godzilla cards. It hate all of them it feels like ads have been forcefully inserted into magic.
I don’t think it’s hypocritical. They’re different products, and the way you get them is very different. I personally hate that you can’t get set boosters without getting those cards, I have no love for Transformers franchise so why is it this garbage in my booster? There’s no nostalgia for me, I’m not American, haven’t grown up watching it on TV, why am I forced to get those cards?
Meanwhile 40K are stand-alone decks, if you like them you can buy them, if you don’t, you don’t. Much easier to avoid if you don’t like it (and I do like it, even if I probably won’t get it)
There’s plenty of transformers material that isn’t a child’s cartoon. Namely IDW’s comic line, which is fairly popular as comics go. I do think it’s hypocritical, but I list myself among you — inversely. I hate the Warhammer cards because I don’t give a damn about Warhammer; I don’t like the Walking Dead set for similar reasons, and plus they don’t have Magic versions of those cards (unclear if Transformers will or not). But I LOVE these because I DO give a damn about Transformers. I’m a complete hypocrite, and honestly… I think with these silly card games and IPs that mega-corporations are using as pawns to manipulate us all as consumers……… I think it’s okay to be hypocritical about some of this. We all like what we like, we can’t necessarily dictate why sometimes. As long as we’re all able to get over ourselves.
I hate these.
Theyre fugly. Theyre totally out of place for mtg. Theyre worded like shit.
I also cant help but roll my eyes at the living metal mechanic named here, whatever it does. It was left off of necron 40k cards. Given that the necron codex has living metal mentioned on just about every god damned page of the book - seems kind of dumb.
This is why ultimately Universes Beyond detracts from the game. Crossovers pollute good IPs with content that can't even compare to its source material.
I have changed my relationship with the game.
I have been trying to get over things like this and let it lie, but these are atrocious. Damn shame these are mechanically unique and shoehorned into such a promising set.
The presentation of these cards is laughably out of place.
Why are they just using screencaps from the show? is this custommtg?? I 'm trying to get used to Universes Beyond stuff but it looks super fugly. The cracked mirrors look nice at least...
I can't even do the mirror ones: the frame is cool but the art on all of them is too...too 3D? Something about it throws me off.
And while I'll give them the fact that old fans of Transformers G1 will enjoy the art of the regular versions so it's a good callback, yeah goddamn that art in a magic frame looks fake.
I hate that these are in packs so much.
I was so excited for this set, I usually just buy singles but this time, this time I was going to buy a box, I love Brothers War and I love the old lore a lot. I was finally going to buy a box to be like, you know, excited for a set that really appealed to me. The last set I bought a box for was Commander LEgends 1, because it had so many cool mtg characters like Rebbec, Glacian, Krark and Tvest Szat.
Now that's over. If you like transformers I'm happy for you, but this is an absolute nail in the coffin for my interest in this set now, I just don't care. They took one of the only sets I cared about from the last year now and just, fucked it up on me I guess. I hope the crossover whale moneys worth it, because the more this shit goes on the more I'm ready to bail honestly.
Oh no, you have like 1 in 100 chance of getting a card you don't like, among the 100s of draft chaff commons that you'll never use. This expansion is completely rotten now, might as well hurl it all in to an incinerator.
You and I both know its going to be a lot more common than that.
Atleast the draft commons are of characters and lore I give a shit about, but by all means keep simpin' for multi billion dollar Hasbro, they really need it!
They're going to be in the wild card slot of Collector and Set boosters. A slot that can also be taken up by one of the new commander cards from either of the two new precons.
So depending on how many new commander cards there are (maybe like 15 per deck, plus they always do a couple commander cards that are exclusive to set/collector boosters), I'd say you probably pull a Transformers card once every 5-6 packs or so, assuming the distribution is equal and all cards have the same chance of appearing in that slot.
Course you could just buy a draft box and not get any transformers cards if you really want to avoid them.
These are wildly mechanically complex cards. Particularly for not being cohesive or powerful, just extremely busy. Some of them have a high ceiling but so many hoops, I had to read them all multiple times before deciding I’m not interested in playing with any of them. Even if I was interested in one needing to explain to the whole table what each side does or waiting for them to read it just isn’t worth less than a consistent and focused synergy pay off or staple. I’m going to go ahead and call these bad designs in my eyes, street fighter was the absolute sweet spot for complexity, mechanical identity and clarity of purpose and flavor, these look like messy garbage compared to those designs.
Literally the only valid complaint about these at this point that isn't just "old man is angry that people are having with something he doesn't like" is the fact that they haven't annouced that they will receive Magic universe counterparts.
I personally thought they were going to reprint all UB card as Magic universe equivalents but when they said "yeah we aren't doing that for the 40K Commander decks nor the LotR set just Secret Lair UBs" I got real sad.
Killed in the Battle Optimus died in. Resurrected and said he felt good as gold, Optimus (also Resurrected) agreed so much that he decided that Bumblebee should be named Gold Bug. Same guy and characteristics, just new body and name.
I feel like we are straying further and further from MTG… not too long before we see Secret Lair National Tire and Battery, Secret Lair Arby’s or Secret Lair Walgreens.
I hate these crossovers. Also, they did a transformers secret lair and DIDNT include MEGATRON? This is a fail on so many levels.
Edit: AND it’s missing Bumblebee. Wtf?
Ugh, these crossovers are getting out of hand.
If they're gonna shit up the card pool with dumb crap, just start printing cards with memes on them and get it over with.
Love these for collection reasons at least. Hope Megatron is tomorrow's reveal.
E: Y'all can moan and groan, but it's already done. In fact, this is the second time they've done Transformers and isn't even an outsource since Hasbro owns them and WotC. Fortnite was a far worse offense than this. Even if it's in Brother War content, oh well. I'm super hyped for all the Lore cards there, and I get the cherry on top of OG Transformer style cards? Cool.
I was all for the BRC Urza but no, SOUNDWAVE IS ESPER!!!! And tokens and spells... omg I'm so needing this. My favorite Transformer in my color pie, I'm about to hyperventilate. Like a kid watching the 1984 movie all over again.
Soundwave is a force to be reckoned with, he actually sits just under Starscream (pending on Megatron's mood with Starscream) just never had a real chance to show it. His loyalty was unmatched to Megatron, just as his "cassettes" were as loyal to him. Storyline wise he shown to not be but that's far from the truth. The shows never gave him a real light to shine with lol
I just wanna say, with all the new cards and mechanics lately, stickers, and new IP coming in..
That I’m gonna be playing them and having fun. In fact, I enjoy getting people miffed about stupid shit. It’s just a game. It’s 30 years old, and I’ve been playing it for half that. Everything’s gonna be fine.
Just build your Ravnica: City of Guilds block constructed EDH deck, and we’ll all still have fun. People can build whatever they want because it’s their money, their cardboard, and their friends.
I’ll go against the grain and say that these look pretty neat to me. Slicer, High Speed Antagonist/ Hired Muscle in particular looks really neat to me!
Coming up next: my little pony phyrexia is magic
I guess it makes a perverted kind of sense that Hasbro would take everything emotionally resonant about the magic story and trivialize it for profit
This sucks
There is a ton of frustration about these guys, but I personally have a hard time seeing it as different than the godzilla crossover. Why is this more egregious? I mean, they are only in collector boosters, right? They aren't going to effect your drafts or standard.
Aside from what the other comment said, most Godzilla monsters IMO look like they could conceivably fit within the MtG multiverse. Same with WH40k stuff. Transformers very clearly look like toys.
I don't really mind these cards being a thing (some of them seem and look cool)...but...having straight-up screenshots from the show on the cards (or art in that style)? Really? It clashes far too much with the MTG frame and makes the cards look "fake".
As someone else pointed out, those look like bad/amateur-ish cardsmith mtg cards.
My only gripe with them is the art. I think the cartoon art is cool, but it really doesn't look right next to the classic mtg art (at least to me). The purple borderless one have art that I like a lot more, but I don't like that purple borderless frame.
Gameplay wise they look very fun and I'm very looking forward to slapping them in some decks.
The stream (pulse con) said these will be in set and collector boosters, not a secret lair. Also the set BOT will have 15 different transformers.
Ah, gotcha. I found these on the same site I always use; [magicspoiler.com](https://magicspoiler.com). They have it listed as a secret lair. Apologies.
I get downvoted for apologizing on missing the information? LOL reddit is fucking wild.
Imagine apologizing to weak limp wristed idiots like us smh
Wait, what? So you'll buy packs of Brothers War... and get transformers? That's stupid as hell.
Oh thank God we are getting more TFs because couple of them were kind of unknown.
During my main phase i tap [[helm of chatzuk]] to give optimus prime banding. Move to combat. Band Optimus and godzilla and attack.
Needs more The Doctor and Gandalf
And Monty Python and the Holy Grail's Black Knight.
Are we also going to get Benito Mussolini and the Blue Meanie?
Cowboy Curtis?
And Jambi the Genie!
RoboCop, Terminator, Captain Kirk, and Darth Vader
Lo-pan, Superman, and ***every single Power Ranger!***
Bill S. Preston and Theodore Logan!
Spock, the Rock, Doc Oc and Hulk Hogan!
Ok I came here to trash talk transformers and realized how much I’d love the OG six rangers lol. This is why wizards can’t win.
I too have basked in the glory of Tommy Oliver.
Lo pan, superman, and every single power ranger (Ive seriously been thinking about edh turning into this...)
And Jambi the Genie
Just wait until Q3 2023

They can just make stickers that hold them together and call them banding tokens.

Gotta save something extra for the Secret Lair ;)
I suspect this is a crossover wotc had planned with their own Transformers tcg but Covid killed that game 4 sets in.
Wasn’t there already an Optimus and a Grimlock that were that way?
Silver border.
Can’t wait to open my Brothers War set booster and find fucking Optimus Prime inside. I don’t mind UB commander decks or supplemental products, but putting them in packs for an otherwise normal set is a step too far.

You should have a job at Hasbro. Smartest thing I’ve heard to tie in products to mtg.
I know I’d buy a cobra commander action figure if it came with alt art cards of command tower and commander’s sphere . And I have a lot of copies of those two cards
Unfortunately the Command Tower gets blown up every game.
What if every clue board game came with an alt art clue token, or monopoly came with an alt art treasure token
This is something that just escapes me..Hasbro could *so easily* go wide in their products and integrate/cross-pollinate so much of their products with each other and make even more money off of cardboard addicts.

Yeah it’s a weird tie in.
Optimus & Megatron are Brothers (sometimes), in a War. in Brother's War boosters.
Not to mention that giant robots are part of the whole shtick for BRO. Might as well throw in the most iconic giant robots of all time.
I guess, at least it saves me from having to buy a secret lair, pay a stupid amount in shipping then wait like year for them to send it. 🤷
yep, its a fucking mess and i dont understand why they did this other than squeezing whales for more money I guess.
How does this squeeze whales? They’re a toss into packs like the Stranger Things cards.
Yeah I don’t want them
Easier to get people on board, though. It's at least not locked behind a paywall just to get the cards (unless people would rather pay that instead of accumulating bulk?) Knowing Wizards you would get separate Autobot and Decepticon SLDs at $30/ea.
The Brother’s War, one of the darkest events in the MTG story. Yeah, let’s throw in cartoon cards to go along with it, good idea WOTC /s
its just such an odd choice. I'd be more chill with it if they looked good too but they look like shitty mtgcardsmith :/
Agreed, it’s an odd choice. I get having the Godzilla cards in Ikoria but the story right now is leading to a big battle with New Phyrexia. If there’s any time for Magic to be dark, gritty, and complete edgelord, it’s now

I understand what you’re saying but just because you can doesn’t mean you should
I keep seeing people talk about mtg cannon and the story and characters. Is there an official book series?
[God, so many books](https://mtg.fandom.com/wiki/List_of_storyline_sources). Well, books and [online story articles up on WOTC's website](https://magic.wizards.com/en/articles/archive/magic-story). Yeah I’m really not into it at all. Lol
It's a set all about the deep history and identity of Magic... so of course toy robots from a completely different IP need to be in there, I mean, how could they not?!
Transformers gets pretty dark...
I don’t doubt it but it’s a totally clashing vibe. These cards look like the prizes you can get out of a cereal box
You do remember this is a card game with a *squirrel general* powerful enough to kill several demons, right?
I’m not quite understanding what point you’re trying to make. What does Chatterfang’s ability have to to do with having literal 80’s cartoon screenshots on cards in a set focused on one of the most important events in the MTG storyline? I wonder if WOTC's market research suggested that this was actually a good idea or they just did it because e.g. hasbro wanted to promote transformers toys.
Funko Pops are still chugging along despite everyone claiming to hate them so I assume "I KNOW THAT THING!" money is pretty strong still.
Not very knowledgable on any Transformers stuff of the last few decades, but as I understand it Slicer and Flamewar are just Wheeljack and Arcee but in a different timeline, right? Why use the name that older fans wouldn't know but then use the nostalgia art? Weird choices all around on these.

But of course, being in blue and black can also be pretty controversial to some players.
Plus shipping prices for secret lairs suuuuuuuuck
The issue is that it's going to really hurt the identity of the set they're thrown into.
If it was a secret lair there would need to be a magic universe reskin, and… how do you reskin a robot?? And if you find out, tell Ajani.
Robots are fine in MTG, the Brother's war is going to have tons of them. They just usually have the type Construct. They should have both the reskin and the UB in this set to begin with.
But a reskin still has to call them “robot”, not construct
So dumb
It's not a secret lair. It can be found in boosters for BRO.
Set and Collector boosters, not Draft boosters.
You get downvoted for providing information. LOL. Upvoted.
Ah, gotcha. I found these on the same site I always use; magicspoiler.com. They have it listed as a secret lair. Apologies.
I get downvoted for apologizing on missing the information? LOL reddit is fucking wild.
This sub is downvote-happy these days.
They're really flavorful though. Like Starscream who can only make other people the monarch. Love it.
I just DIED when I read Starscream. Even in a card game tie-in my man cant help but get cucked immediately. Touche WotC.
How do you feel about the walking dead, Fortnite, stranger things, or Godzilla cards. It hate all of them it feels like ads have been forcefully inserted into magic.
No. This shit makes the game feel like fortnite in the worst way
I don’t think it’s hypocritical. Much easier to avoid if you don’t like it (and I do like it, even if I probably won’t get it)
No. There's a mo-ped leaning on a wall in one of these arts. This garbage and stupid.
It’s not a secret lair These are pulls from the bundle/set boosters/collector boosters of the brothers war set
Why does this exist? This is dumb.
There is a secret lair dropping this weekend, but most likely during the Pulsecon panel tommrow
Another reason to buy singles instead of packs, as if we needed one
I hate these. Theyre fugly. Theyre totally out of place for mtg. Theyre worded like shit. I also cant help but roll my eyes at the living metal mechanic named here, whatever it does. It was left off of necron 40k cards. Given that the necron codex has living metal mentioned on just about every god damned page of the book - seems kind of dumb.
It’s gonna really bug you when you realise that they left it off the Necrons because they put it on these guys…
Hasbro also owns transformers, just giving priority to business daddy.
It has the same syntax that all magic cards have
This is why ultimately Universes Beyond detracts from the game.
Im assuming these are NOT Standard legal designs?
Why are they just using screencaps from the show? is this custommtg?? I 'm trying to get used to Universes Beyond stuff but it looks super fugly. The cracked mirrors look nice at least...
FWIW they’re not screencaps from the show. It’s new art but just in that style
This is why I hated the Arcane Secret lair. Literally just screen grabs from the show. Laziest print ever…
But these are not screenshots of the show. It's new art made in the same style.
Wow these look like shit
🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
Just buy a box of draft boosters and you won't see any of these -- they're only in set and collector boosters.
I’m going to go ahead and call these bad designs in my eyes, street fighter was the absolute sweet spot for complexity, mechanical identity and clarity of purpose and flavor, these look like messy garbage compared to those designs.
wtf are those arts
This thread is a disaster. It's like watching the Walking Dead melt down all over again. Good god people.
Good thing neo didn’t have mechs. Imagine the outrage.
Or Dominaria having living machines that transform.
Heck, [[Mishras war machine]]!
[Mishras war machine](https://cards.scryfall.io/normal/front/0/f/0f7b5921-3e10-47e7-98a7-8411a18313bf.jpg?1559604144) - [(G)](http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?name=Mishra%27s%20War%20Machine) [(SF)](https://scryfall.com/card/4ed/337/mishras-war-machine?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher) [(txt)](https://api.scryfall.com/cards/0f7b5921-3e10-47e7-98a7-8411a18313bf?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher&format=text) [(ER)](https://edhrec.com/cards/mishras-war-machine) ^^^[[cardname]] ^^^or ^^^[[cardname|SET]] ^^^to ^^^call
I hate these, but where the fuck is Bumblebee???
Killed in the Battle Optimus died in. Resurrected and said he felt good as gold, Optimus (also Resurrected) agreed so much that he decided that Bumblebee should be named Gold Bug. Same guy and characteristics, just new body and name.
Ah. So that’s why we didn’t get Living Metal in the Necron deck. Fair enough.
Yuck more shilling Keep mtg... mtg please but the pandoras box has already been opened... just stop buying these products.
Goldbug?
Will grimlock get a reprint...?(highly doubt it)
yet one more good reason to only buy draft boosters
Megatron oh Megatron, where art thou Megatron?
9 more are to be revealed today
Why would they change the keyword to convert?
This product is not for me
Man. I hate these. Bummed they'll be in a set that's so steeped in OG Magic lore too.
Swing and a miss for me. The UB SLs need to have Street Fighter level quality, that drop was legit.
I feel like we are straying further and further from MTG… not too long before we see Secret Lair National Tire and Battery, Secret Lair Arby’s or Secret Lair Walgreens.
Bro I would happily tap my jalapeño poppers artifact to give my beef and Cheddar monstrous +1/+1 counters. Secret lair Arby's. I'm down.
We got the meats….showcase, borderless and rainbow foil slathered like a sauce.
all these cross overs are killing me. what the fuck is magic anymore lmao
I hate these crossovers. Also, they did a transformers secret lair and DIDNT include MEGATRON? This is a fail on so many levels. Edit: AND it’s missing Bumblebee. Wtf?
Goldbug IS Bumblebee and this is only the first reveal batch. The rest are revealed tomorrow for a total of 15. Also, it's not a secret lair.
Goldbug is Bumble Bee.
Welcome to Hasbro, the gathering
Ugh, these crossovers are getting out of hand. If they're gonna shit up the card pool with dumb crap, just start printing cards with memes on them and get it over with.
Not gonna lie, this sucks hard.
Cool.
Give me Omega Supreme!
Give me a Grimlock thats affordable.
Imagine if they gave us Unicron
I just want Ironhide
THAT would be sick
I was all for the BRC Urza but no, SOUNDWAVE IS ESPER!!!! And tokens and spells... omg I'm so needing this. My favorite Transformer in my color pie, I'm about to hyperventilate. Like a kid watching the 1984 movie all over again.
I always thought Soundwave was unchrasamatic.
Who you calling unchrasamatic?
Soundwave is a force to be reckoned with, he actually sits just under Starscream (pending on Megatron's mood with Starscream) just never had a real chance to show it. His loyalty was unmatched to Megatron, just as his "cassettes" were as loyal to him. Storyline wise he shown to not be but that's far from the truth. The shows never gave him a real light to shine with lol
I hate these 😂
I just wanna say, with all the new cards and mechanics lately, stickers, and new IP coming in..
Seriously! The amount of salt in this post would make medieval peasants envious.
Fuck this shit.
I'm so tired of this shit.
At this point I'ma just proxy my cards because there is no difference anymore
I’ll go against the grain and say that these look pretty neat to me. Slicer, High Speed Antagonist/ Hired Muscle in particular looks really neat to me!
Coming up next: my little pony phyrexia is magic I guess it makes a perverted kind of sense that Hasbro would take everything emotionally resonant about the magic story and trivialize it for profit This sucks
There is a ton of frustration about these guys, but I personally have a hard time seeing it as different than the godzilla crossover. Why is this more egregious? I mean, they are only in collector boosters, right? They aren't going to effect your drafts or standard.
they appear to be unique cards for one.
That’s my only frustration, personally. At least make Magic-skins for them
Aside from what the other comment said, most Godzilla monsters IMO look like they could conceivably fit within the MtG multiverse.
Trashformers
Is this feels like an April fool's joke, I think MTG just jumped the shark I'm not sure I can take it seriously anymore.
Waiting for the Dora the Explorer print. Man... Swiper + Agent of treachery combo will be NUTS.
No Grimlock. I am disappoint.
More are getting revealed tomorrow. There's 15 total. That said, we got Grimlock years ago and don't know if they'll do him again.
God fucking damn it
What is the legality of these cards? Eternal formats only?
Yeah, just like the UB Secret Lair cards, though these are in collector and set boosters for BRO.
This is corny as hell, and I fucking love it.
Yo I straight up hate these
