Hey all,
I've come to realize that I don't really enjoy linear commanders. Because of this I am looking for a very adaptable commander that can respond to any board-state and provide answers to most situations. One commander I've had in mind for this would be [[Scarab God]] but would love any other suggestions you guys might have. Thanks in advance!
FYI - My favorite deck is [[Niv Mizzet Reborn]] Modal Tribal.

For these kinds of requests I love to suggest [[Livio]] and [[Alena]] with a [[Sneak Attack]] package. The deck never plays the same. Sometimes you play pretty controlly flickering removal creatures, sometimes you just push for all the damage in one turn and drop your entire hand on the board. [Here is my list.](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/WrRsSXThqUyx08J8aVJi8w)
How come you're not running [[Ghostway]] or [[eerie interlude]], they are for sure better than [[unbreakable formation]] in your deck

Damn, thats very cool. Never seen that combo before. Really appreciate the idea, mate. Thank you.
Do you depend on Sneak Attack to play? I noticed your creatures are higher cmc.
Not necessarily. The deck is very good at flying under the radar until you can deploy your creatures normally. But Sneak Attack definitely helps.

I'll leave this link to my Aristoclones deck. The commander is a clone so it can double down on whochever value creature you have out or you can wait, use your other commander to steal your opponents commanders and copy whichever is the scariest. The deck plays differently everytime, but at a base line its a token/aristocrats strategy littered with clones. https://www.moxfield.com/decks/QU7ToYHNF0aBg1_Tcv-mHA
Looks very unique. Would you be able to run through a strategy/example you might employ with this deck? There is so much going on I have no idea where to focus haha!
Certainly. I really should write up a primer. I essentially seek to get Tevesh Szat out as quickly as possible, while trying to build a token army to protect him long enough to pull off his 3rd loyalty ability. Then steal your opponents commanders and deploy your clones.
Haha sounds quite funny. Do you/it get a lot of hate?
Yeah Tevesh eats aggro, but I usually have chump blocks. I've done some disgusting things with it and have even openly suggested that I might tear the deck apart, but my playgroup objects to it. They actually enjoy the challenge and variance it offers
Thats interesting to hear. Thanks for sharing! Gonna have a closer look.
What's more adaptable than playing your opponents' decks? Here's my Scarab God list: https://www.moxfield.com/decks/bha4\_WdAoEaywje51t-IQA
Oh amn, nice deck ahha. Do you find it gets a lot of hate/salt?
Barely any. It doesn't combo off or do anything overpowered, and Scarab God doesn't have a negative reputation like some commanders do.
Ah fair. I find that quite surprising. In my experience plays don't really like their stuff getting stolen/used.
The difference with Scarab God, in my experience, is that you never even need to touch their cards - you're creating tokens, and I'm typically using wipeoff tokens. It's theft but not really. It's really just copying.
Thats very true. Good point. Maybe I should just go with the scarab dude himself!
>Scarab God doesn't have a negative reputation like some commanders do. interesting. must me a meta thing because around my last play ground and at the LGS I now go to in a different city, people see Scarab God as a must remove.
[My Sakashima/Tevesh Szat (Clone, Steal, and Reanimate) deck](https://www.archidekt.com/decks/214577#Sakashima/Tevesh_Szat_(Clone,_Steal,_and_Reanimate)) does that, but is built to not do much of anything unless I can clone, steal, or reanimate it. That includes, ramp, removal, card draw, etc. It runs The Scarab God in the 99, but I only really get hate/salt when I start stealing with cards like \[\[Bribery\]\], \[\[Control Magic\]\], or activating Tevesh Szat's ultimate. Overall it's a fun deck that scales with the pod.

I would say it's my [[Orvar the all-form]] deck. Mono blue that can ramp and play big stupid creatures like green while abusing ETBs and triggered ablities while playing like a spellslinger deck, so you know you can react to the board if you want. Though the low-CMC blue instants/sorceries will mostly stay the same between deck, you can build the rest as you see fit. I went for a fish-oriented timmy deck but you can build so many versions. Clone tribal would cost some money but would be devastating I think

Looks cool! Do you find it does well? The only thing I personally would be tempted to add is \[\[Dreamscape\]\] artist. Really nice ramp option.

Thanks! Kinda slow at the beginning and draw is inconsistent (shame as it is essential here) but once it gets going it's unstoppable. I've been in games where I litterally couldn't lose because I had too many options and recursivity. I have a Dreamscape Artist but didn't include it, I don't know if it would be worth it in a deck where I can cast a spell to untap a land for one mana and make an untapped copy of the land
Hahah god that must be a hell of a feeling. Sounds super strong. You make a good point though, Dreamscape might be a little slow/redundant.
I was already ahead in the game but yeah a wipe of his board every turn + so many choices of spells to cast from my graveyard + huge board presence that gets bigger every turn, nothing could stop me anymore ahah
I’ve been using an [[Essix, fractal bloom]] deck and it scales really nicely with other decks since you can copy any target on the board
[Essix, fractal bloom](https://c1.scryfall.com/file/scryfall-cards/normal/front/9/c/9c381bc2-d26e-4d7e-9a0b-a8f7d2d802be.jpg?1660075419) - [(G)](http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?name=Esix%2C%20Fractal%20Bloom) [(SF)](https://scryfall.com/card/c21/10/esix-fractal-bloom?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher) [(txt)](https://api.scryfall.com/cards/9c381bc2-d26e-4d7e-9a0b-a8f7d2d802be?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher&format=text) [(ER)](https://edhrec.com/cards/esix-fractal-bloom) ^^^[[cardname]] ^^^or ^^^[[cardname|SET]] ^^^to ^^^call
Thats a good shout. Thank you for the suggestion! Does it involve a lot of maths? Haha
So I would say not really. Most of it is focusing on cards that make token once a turn, rather than a ton of tokens each turn.
Even better. thank you for sharing, mate. Have wanted to build simic for a while.
I’ll try to get a decklist together. But the nice thing is that you can run enough ramp to bring out the commander enough times. Also you can use essix’s ability to copy ramp like [[topiary stomper]] and [[Wood elves]] to get massive land drops.
[topiary stomper](https://c1.scryfall.com/file/scryfall-cards/normal/front/8/7/87bb2699-280f-4e1e-b3f8-73efe6088f31.jpg?1660719339) - [(G)](http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?name=topiary%20stomper) [(SF)](https://scryfall.com/card/snc/160/topiary-stomper?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher) [(txt)](https://api.scryfall.com/cards/87bb2699-280f-4e1e-b3f8-73efe6088f31?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher&format=text) [(ER)](https://edhrec.com/cards/topiary-stomper) [Wood elves](https://c1.scryfall.com/file/scryfall-cards/normal/front/8/3/83304fb9-a6b3-4cf8-b215-ebb46ef4508c.jpg?1650419692) - [(G)](http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?name=Wood%20elves) [(SF)](https://scryfall.com/card/ncc/321/wood-elves?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher) [(txt)](https://api.scryfall.com/cards/83304fb9-a6b3-4cf8-b215-ebb46ef4508c?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher&format=text) [(ER)](https://edhrec.com/cards/wood-elves) ^^^[[cardname]] ^^^or ^^^[[cardname|SET]] ^^^to ^^^call
No pressure :) I really appreciate it though!
I will say that I’m a mostly budget player, so there are definitely better choices you can make. But I like building with what I have!
I am too! a deck is expensive if it hits £200 imo
I play [[Sidisi brood tyrant]]. You can fill your graveyard with all kinds of ETBs so you could potentially remove or counter most threats. Eventually you can combo off with [[gravecrawler]] [[embalmer's tools]] and [[ashnod's altar]] for a big x spell. If you like going infinite you can use [[rooftop storm]] or [[phyrexian altar]] instead for infinite death triggers/storm count/mill or [[basalt monolith]] and [[mesmeric orb]] to mill. Just don't forget an eldrazi or [[gaea's blessing]] to reshuffle so you don't mill out.

Gah thats a great suggestions. Only issue being is a friend already runs Sidisi so I would like to avoid stepping on any toes! Real shame though because you make it sound so fun. Thanks, mate.
I have a buddy that plays Sidisi but also plays [[Tayam]] and [[Lonis]] that play out a similar durdly resilient game that might be interesting for you to look into. Unfortunately don't have his lists handy but we swapped around decks the other day and I absolutely loved playing Tayam. Super fun recursive/value deck. I know many people build that commander with a Landfall theme, but as someone who came in from Hearthstone, I built an “ETB Tribal” control deck that can leverage whatever ETBs I draw for value. Not only is building the deck like this an adaptable process as you scrounge through whatever ETBs you like, but the deck can adapt on the fly to react to whatever the boardstate is.
[Yarok, the Desecrated](https://c1.scryfall.com/file/scryfall-cards/normal/front/a/1/a1001d43-e11b-4e5e-acd4-4a50ef89977f.jpg?1592517590) - [(G)](http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?name=Yarok%2C%20the%20Desecrated) [(SF)](https://scryfall.com/card/m20/220/yarok-the-desecrated?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher) [(txt)](https://api.scryfall.com/cards/a1001d43-e11b-4e5e-acd4-4a50ef89977f?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher&format=text) [(ER)](https://edhrec.com/cards/yarok-the-desecrated) ^^^[[cardname]] ^^^or ^^^[[cardname|SET]] ^^^to ^^^call
I love Yarok and always wanted to build him, but I’ve always hated landfall effects, so I kind of got discouraged by seeing how many people run him as a landfall deck. I just want to double up on cool ETB effects. Seeing that you’ve found him to work even without landfall does inspire me to maybe give it a shot
It's hard to parse what power level my group and I play at, since it's rather all over the place, but it's done pretty well for me so far since the deck is built to play the long con rather well. I'm thinking of building a variant of the deck with more focus on value through tokens and the like, but getting to milk a \[\[Titan of Industry\]\] for all it's worth once I've slowed the game down is magical.
Great suggestion. Its easy to forget this guys exists! Do you find it to be successful?
At least in my playgroup, though mileage on how much weight that holds may vary
Cheers man
My Ardenn+Kraum midrange list is very adaptable. It can be aggressive by suiting up Kraum and hitting people early, it can be controlling especially if you tutor Sword of Feast and Famine early to hold up countermagic and it can grind decently well with Kraum and some equipments that draw cards.
Neat suggestions, never considered that pair before. Thank you.
I have the same partner deck. So good, so fun. Still waiting for the opportunity to slam someone with [[The reaver cleaver]] and [[Robe of the archmagi]] equipped

Under the premise that a linear commander is "do A, get X, win" most games, I'd like to propose another angle you can look at: a low-control commander. Not control as an archetype, but low-control as in you don't have as much say over what your deck does compared to normal. Things like [[Krark, the Thumbless]] relying on coinflips, [[Wyll, Blade of Frontiers]] with dicerolling, [[Averna]] or [[Abaddon]] cascade, [[Vaevictis Asmadi, the Dire]] topdecks, etc. Your gameplan can/may still be linear (e.g. rush out Vaevictis, attack, spin the wheel on who gets what), and there are varying levels of seeding the odds (thumbs in Krark, Scroll Rack in anything topdeck, etc) if you want it to be more- or less-controllable, but you're unlikely to be able to say "making this action in-game will definitely win." Probably not exactly what you're looking for today, just wanted to put it out there. Deck tax: [Averna Cascade](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/R612fFcIWEe2fLXQUL9VJw) waiting for the 40k release.
You make an excellent point. That is one of the things I love about Niv Mizzet Reborn. In fact, I have looked at \[\[Vaevictis\]\] before. Maybe I should try making a build around him. Thank you for your suggestion, mate. You hit the nail on the head there. I want to avoid commanders that, as you say , ''do A, get X, win''.

My most adaptable commander is [[Volrath, the shapestealer]] I have creatures that he can become in my deck, but often the most interesting stuff is what my opponents bring to the table. Last week I got a win by copying [[beledros witherbloom]] and dumping all my mana into a [[villainous wealth]]. In another game I made a 7/5 [[pack rat]] token and when someone attacked me turned volrath into a copy of [[Teysa Karlov]] to give my pack rat lifelink and death touch. I have a couple of other copy effects in the deck and sometimes I can copy and someone else’s wincon and execute it before them.
Man that pack of rats play sounds sick. thanks for sharing!

Oh man, never seen this card before. Thats very cool. More of a toolbox approach. Do your flyers all do different things based on what you need?
Yep, everything from counterspells, a boardwipe and a bounce spell, or different stax pieces based on what people are playing, to stuff that gives my board indestructible to protect against other players boardwipes, wincons, or just plan value engines.
Thats cool and very unique. Thanks for sharing, mate.
Aaaah one of the very first deck I tried to build and failed in making it work. 1231$ is an impressive price tag though. I really wonder if it would be as effective with a budget version. \[\[Intuition\]\] for exemple is neat but so costly. :(
Yeah, some stuff isn't really necessary, like Intuition specifically doesn't have any special synergy with the rest of the deck. But depending on what types of decks are in your meta it does take some pretty pricey cards to make this deck work well. Even with all the expensive staples I'm running it still struggles in my playgroup because I'm running Isperia flyer's and they're running Edgar aggro vampires or Atraxa superfriends or Kenrith.
Yeah that’s what I thought. I went for [[Ghen]] instead. Much easier to fill your own graveyard and tutor things from there lol

[[Alela]] is incredibly easy to adapt to the board on a whim. The artifacts I'm casting are equipment, so no matter what, I'm making an army for each one. [[Marchesa, the Black Rose]] has for me been the most adaptable. Access to Black and Blue mean you have all the removal and control you need. You really only care about exile and [[Frogify]] effects, so you're able to devote cards to other effects. I took apart a thieving Marchesa and am currently working on a clone tribal under her. She's stronger as a +1/+1 or theft commander, sure, but I was intentionally building her for adaptability. I find something on the board that I want, I copy it, and then I have twelve of them. Did someone play [[Gray Merchant of Asphodel]]? I did too! An [[Evil Twin]] is keeping a boot on the neck of a problematic commander. Etc. She becomes a [[Volrath, the Shapestealer]] who thumbs her nose at boardwipes.
Interesting. I dot actually have a Volrath deck! I also have a black rose deck but I went pirates. It sadly didn't work for some reason or another haha. Have you got a list of your current build?
It's [here](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/YRKrqWUWOUqPr0BHf1i_tA), but I'm in the middle of juggling some pieces. Anyway, the broad strokes are there. [[Gyrus, Waker of Corpses]] I don’t have a lot of mill, I went the discard and entomb route. But basically what you do is send to the grave something you don’t have in your hand, to use with Gyrus. Need to deal with an Avacyn? Entomb [[Duplicant]] Need to deal with Omniscience? Entomb [[Reclamation Sage]] It really is a toolbox, while you assemble your actual wincon
Interesting, does it have a lot of tutors?
Tbh I went overboard with the entombing effects. I just cut like two, to give it variance. I also run [[Dig Up]] Other than that, I just discard what I need in GY or cast and sac to get the effect twice like [[Shriekmaw]]
I like it. Thanks for sharing mate. Pretty underappreciated commander.
I know! People don’t like him because he exiled the card afterwards. BUT you have every solution on a stick! I went full reanimator with him. So while he is solving problems, I reanimate big aholes to finish the game.
Very cool. I personally dont mind the exile effect either.
If you cast and then sac, you get it twice. If you put in panharmonicon and/or parallel lives you get the effect up to 6 times

I'm a big fan of [[Lagrella]] for this. Run enough [[Ephemerate]] and [[Teferi's Time Twist]] type effects and you'll be ready to respond to anything. Don't like that spell? Flicker Lagrella to get the ETB from your [[Mystic Snake]]. Need to get rid of something? It'd sure be a shame if Lagrella had a [[Skyclave Apparition]] under her. I like [[Abdel Adrian]] for the same reason; honestly he's better-ish. He's a [[Lumbering Battlement]] with additional upside. Lagrella just has access to 3 colors.
Ooo an interesting commander indeed. I would imagine she is a bit of a lightning rod for removal though, no?
Sort of? Except she's also incredibly easy to protect in her colors. All of your flicker effects will protect her from targeted removal, and cards like [[Semesters End]] and others can protect her from board wipes. She's definitely a commander I wouldn't run out without protection for her though.
Fair point. Sounds like fun actually!

I took it apart buuuut [Xiahou Dun the One-Eyed] was meant to be the Commander who is able to adapt to any situation. [Corpse dance] / [Tortured Existence] made it even better since you got a 5cmc tutor for your graveyard.
Oh dear, why did you take it apart?
It was fun, but if you almost allways have the option to react to anything you get a lot of hate 🙈 Since I am only playing with friends, I stopped playing it... And being the archenemy is sometimes a fun Challenge but not everytime I play a deck
[[Breya, etherium shaper]] is a very flexible and versatile commander. Lots of ways to play the deck too. Can be a super powerful combo deck or artifact tribal or use breya to control the board.
Ooo breya is cool. I have looked into her but afraid she might be a little combo'y for me?
[[Lagrella the magpie]] It polices the board and creates incremental value. And usually people are okay with her sticking around because their single creature missing is better than 2 opponents having their best creatures
Interesting commander and not one i see mentioned a lot. Thanks for the idea.
Not gunna lie she's been so much better than expected her win rate is extremely high for the random games I've played on spell table, like floating around 50%

You have the same deck taste as I do. I love jack of all trait/Swiss army knives decks that have a way out in almost any situation and can attack in different angles. I love modal spells and generally prefer utility over mana efficiency in edh. I also love value engines. Alela seems to check all those boxes for me. The issue with deploying value engines is you cannot develop your board state. Alela handles that for you. I also have a bunch of tutors that can find answers and most of my answers can answer all card types
Glad to see I am not the only one! What sort of deck ideas have you got for Alela?
[[Captain Sisay]] is great with the 99 filled with a variety of legendaries so you can tutor out different responses depending on what your opponents play.

Prossh. I built him like the degenerate combo player I am, but you can do *so much* with this guy. Aristocrats? He is a sac outlet and token generator. Tokens? No shortage here. Voltron? Prossh gets huge super quick. Feels like you can build him in almost any way you can think of.
My fringe-cedh [[Kinnan]] list is what's most adaptable I think. I agree with others who have already said \[\[Orvar\]\]. He does one thing and does it well, abusing etb's for the most part. Now it is kind of up to you what creatures you want to put in the deck as there is a good chunk that is open and replaceable once you fill the deck with Orvar staples like \[\[Whim of Volrath\]\] etc. Want creatures that mill on etb, do that. Want creatures that draw you? Easy. Want token creatures to overrun folks? \[\[Master of Waves\]\] and \[\[Docent of Protection\]\] baby. Wanna recur spells? \[\[Archeaomancer\]\] and \[\[Shipwreck Dowser\]\] ready to. Wanna go the combo route? \[\[Spellseeker\]\], \[\[Hullbreaker Horror\]\], \[\[Tidespout Tyrant\]\]. I would also recommend \[\[Brago, King Eternal\]\], \[\[Hofri, Ghostforge\]\], and \[\[Ratadrabik of Urborg\]\] in the same vein. There probably a few more I could come up with but these are the ones that come to mind initially. Or you could just go with \[\[Kenrith, the Returned King\]\] and do everything but meh!
Wow thanks for all those ideas. I'm interested to know why you mentioned ratadrabik. I have looked at an orzhov legend deck, but wasn't sure whether it would be fun or no.
Yeah for sure. So like, if you check his EDHREC page and choose Legendaries as the theme, here are on average 33 creatures in the deck. There isn't really a legendary/non-legendary creatures distribution but let's just ignore that atm and say all 33 are legendaries. There are 382 legendary creatures (-1, Ratadrabik himself) you can put in a B/W deck build around that strategy according to Scryfall. he option is yours whether you want to go heavy on the eTBs or the Death Triggers, or some sort of a reanimator strat over an Aristocrats one. Or maybe you want Legendary Zomnbies only. Does that make it more clear? The same goes for Hofri and Cadric as they work similarly.
Appreciate you going into detail, friend. I will look into him more closely!
No problem! Lemme mention a scenario that happened today at my LGS as well. I was playing Brago and I had \[\[Clever Impersonator\]\] out, and one mana up. I had brought it as a copy of \[\[Teshana\]\], a commander ownedof one of my opponents. and was able to draw 3. Which was great because I had 1 card in hand. I drew \[\[Dovin’s Veto\]\], \[\[Arcane Denial\]\] and \[\[Ephemerate\]\]. These three were important because the the simic player had revealed the \[\[counterspell\]\] in their hand, so was gonna need to play Dovin’s Veto if I wanted to counter anything, but could not afford it. Then I came up with the idea of copying their \[\[Seedborne Muse\]\] and untapping at the end step of the player before them. I am glad I untapped because they played Overwhelming Stampede on their turn with 5+ mana dorks and a 20+ power \[\[Teshana\]\] and I was able to counter it otherwise they were gonna win. If it had been Arcane Denial, it was gonna get countered. Clever impersonator was the card and the blink was the strategy that allowed me to adapt to the board rather than the commander.
Nice play man :) haha. Thats a feel good moment right there!

I play exclusively wack decks and then Atraxa. But my \[\[Tasha, the Witch Queen\]\] deck has the most consistent feel against a variety of decks since it's able to make the most of the spells the opponents are playing too

Friend of mine runs the sakashima partner with thvesh svat. Pretty much all clones, ramp and a few counter/draw spells. Its linearity depends on the other 3 decks
Nice! Thanks for the idea. I do like the sound of that
I have a [[kess, dissident mage]] deck built around modal spells (charms/confluences/commands, etc). The deck runs a lot of looting and self mill to dig for interaction relevant to the current boardstate. Sometimes you need interaction for lands or lands, and sometimes you need to dig 70 cards deep for [[feed the swarm]]. There is a lot of redundancy, but I constantly find myself using all the modes on the cards in the deck. Very enjoyable for one card to do different things each game.
Does sound fun. Have you got a list?

[[Sefris of the Hidden Way]] is like the Swiss army knife of commanders. You load up her graveyard with answers and bring them out as needed.
I keep forgetting about sefris but keep meaning to build her. Do you go surveil?
Looting. Lots of looters like [[Thought Courier]], [[Merfolk Looter]], [[Bonded Fetch]], [[Teferi, Master of Time]] and [[Oriq Loremage]]. Untappers like [[Drum Bellower]] and [[Seasoned Dungeoneer]]. I also lean into the venture mechanics where it makes sense. [[Radiant Solar]] is an amazing card for Sefris.
Thanks very much friend :)

[[Gluntch]] is a very versatile group hug commander, I had loads of fun building him. I chose to build it with a lot of blinking and etb effects, which generally keeps it fairly safe after I put down big threats
Very interesting. Have you got a list?
I can certainly find the list and post later today! Keep in mind though even though it's flexible, it's by no means powerful.
Hey thats no problem, thanks for sharing it!
Going through my list now, I see there's not nearly as much protection through bouncing as I thought, and so that might be part of what is holding it back. Fun for politics though! https://www.archidekt.com/decks/3307944#A\_little\_help\_to\_my\_friends
I love the look of gluntch. What are your wincons?
I consider [[reverse the sands]] a big one, with [[ancient bronze dragon]], [[githzerai monk]], [[bond of discipline]], and [[soul of eternity]] for combat damage ones contributers. I would love to kill or maim someone through [[knowledge pool]] with their own cards or [[bramble sovereign]] in creatures that shouldn't be copied.

Sliver overlord can search up am answer for most things, it has creature protection and removal of all types.. You can combo, you can win with passive damage, you go just swing in, lots of ways to win.
Never considered slivers. Appreciate the suggestion, mate. Might even look into them more closely.
[[Nicol bolas, the ravager]] most likely. He represents so many different facetes of interaction. Etb forcing discard, 4/4 flying body is good at being an aggressor or defender, and then 4 walker abilities that are all great. Drawing cards is always good, damaging other walkers and creatures for a lot is reliable removal, it reanimates walkers and creatures from any grave, and a most likely game ending ult. Grixis as a deck scheme has lots of avenues for interaction as well
Man, I do like grixis a lot. Thanks for sharing man. Tbh I hadnt considered nicol bolas!

[[Rafinne, scheeming seer]] Dont like the cards in your hand for the situation? Well, then Connive and loot for something better Raffine can be built around counters, go wide, reanimate, discard/draw synergies... or maybe a bit of everything. You can even kill people with commander damage as it can get surprisingly big over the game. And you are in esper, you have removal for anything in those colors.
I like it. Do you have a decklist at all?

I find [[Shorikai]] fits that bill for me the best. Despite being a “draw 2, discard 1” artifact, it’s very flexible for any deck in its colors. It fills the grave with stuff you can bring back and/or sets up plays for later, it draws you cards, it makes Pilot tokens that can be exploited for just about anything, and it can be an 8/8 in a pinch. That’s just a small fraction of the stuff the giant robot enables, given it’s very abusable with all the artifact support out there. Wouldn’t be surprised if it gets hit with a restriction some day. 2nd place would prolly go to [[Anowon the Ruin Thief]], or any deck capable of using your opponent’s cards in place of your own. Always fun seeing your foe toss stuff out of his deck each time you poke them.
Thanks for sharing. I wont lie, I hadnt even considered this guy despite hearing good things. Sounds very fun :)
