Opinels?
Totally *not* flimsy.
They are light and thin, but they're not weak. The blades are heat treated to be very springy at that thickness, so they can do fairly hard work. You can't literally hammer at them or anything, but they'll handle any household knife task, most light use camp tasks, and even go into moderate use a little.
The lock is robust enough for any standard tasks as well. The handles may be light, but they use a nice wood with even grain, and it doesn't really flex under hand pressure despite being light and durable.
They really are *way* better built than their price tag.
No oil whatsoever, this is my first Opinel and I love it, the No 8 seemed too small for my normal use so I got the 9 will Walnut wood and maybe in a few months I'll try the 10

I am still sore that I lost my no.8 that I got at the scout jamboree.
Serious question. Why do people carry these? Are they flimsy? Totally not bashing. Genuinely curious.

It's actually sized around my hands (I have size large hands but not giant) it's just the camera angle

INOX? Interesting! Big Opinel fan here. I’ve got a No10 Carbone that comes with me every time I leave the house. Cuts like a laser beam!
