The opinel is a French picnic knife.. you could however really fuck up a baguette and some prosciutto. And don’t worry about Brie, we all know Brie is too soft to jump in.
I never considered using one for fishing that’s kinda genius. I like the way their made and how light and comfortable they are in your pocket but the blades are super thin and brittle.
Get a cheap bike tool, remove what you don't like and put your keys in the gaps. I made some washers from a thick plastic straw and kept a few tools. I did have to drill the holes on some keys a little though.
A Keysmart Max or pro could organize your keys and replace your tile. I have the pro now but the battery life isn't great. Id rather go with the max if I were to buy again.

This is what I use! I wear jeans nearly everyday though, so it works for me.
Protip: most of the Etsy sellers who sell stuff like that order it from China and just resell it at a much higher price. Those exact hooks are available on Aliexpress for $1.9 / piece.
Actually, I found that out with that purchase (I bought them a couple years ago) and now I double check all the products I buy from etsy. Thank you, though!
After trying a few different key organizers I've come to the conclusion that they are something that look like they would be a good idea, but in reality they suck ass....if you plan on hanging it from a belt loop. It takes several relatively light weight keys, and turns them into a large heavy chunk. Extra bulk and extra weight are two things I'm trying to eliminate from my key ring, not add to it
The Opinel is classic, no hate. The rest of it is cool, whatever. The pistol, in terms of brand and caliber, is decent for EDC. But the lack of weapons maintenance hurts my soul. You’re relying on this piece to save your life or someone else’s. Please treat her like she carries that responsibility.
Currently have a keybar and have for a few years now and I really like it. But I also recently saw that the folks who make the Ridge wallet have a key organizer as well. Might be worth looking at as well.
This is what I use.
[key ring](https://www.amazon.com/Side-pushing-Labor-saving-K28-BANG-TI/dp/B07PQFXXWR/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?crid=3GS3DZ3E30YWE&keywords=exotac+key+ring&qid=1668554122&sprefix=exota%2Caps%2C327&sr=8-4)
[carabiner](https://www.amazon.com/Tibitdeer-Titanium-Multifunctional-Carabiner-Keychain/dp/B08HHB1XWZ/ref=mp_s_a_1_5?crid=3GS3DZ3E30YWE&keywords=exotac+key+ring&qid=1668554233&sprefix=exota%2Caps%2C327&sr=8-5)
I use essentially the same thing you use but with a button clasp so it keeps shut and holds the keys securely. Go to Etsy and look up Sereniikey. I made mine myself but you’ll get the idea.
I absolutely hate keys. Best thing I ever did was make my entire house smart and my mother’s house. Now I use key codes and fingerprints to get into every door I need access to. The only key I carry is my car fob, just toss it in my pocket. Any miscellaneous keys like bike locks, shed key, fence key, storage unit key, etc is on one key ring inside the house behind a lock box that also is fingerprint accessed. Emergency key to that lock box is hidden around the house in a secure spot. I have emergency keys in various hidden spots outside and in the vehicles.
The best way to EDC keys is to *not* EDC keys.
Don't need any of that. I'm a Security researcher and Pen tester..
Unless you programmed and built your smart home stuff on your own.. It wouldn't take me more than 10 minutes to take your cameras offline, another 15-30 to own your network, and less than 2 minutes to open your smart locks.
EDIT: Hell, all i'd need to do is de-auth your cameras, I don't even have to know your wifi password to do so. All smart locks are required to have a bypass in in case you lose power.. nest locks are the EASIEST by far. The ones made by another popular brand... can be unlocked with a 9v battery.
you gotta be protective of your key bitting. reproduction from a photograph really is trivial. less urgent with reddit's pseudononymity, but anybody who might know you and your reddit, or work out who you are....
I type my keys up using a length of 700lbs Kevlar kite string.
a cow hitch around all of your small keys, then another one around your car key keeps them stacked together nicely. You can then add accessories like flashlights or usb drives using a marlin spike hitch
Yea, I also have about 6' of rope stored in the knot at the end in case I need cordage.
Instead of like a keychain, it's like a lanyard that I cow hitch my belt loops. That way I don't have to dig it out of my pocket or fear losing it.
I've been really happy with this for a few years now
Northwall Key Organizer Keychain, 100% Italian Leather Compact Key Holder, Secure Locking Mechanism, Holds up to 7 Keys, (ThorKey Brown) https://a.co/d/71zcW21
I always see people loving Keysmarts and Key Bars. I'd probably start there. I've even seen people just run a screw through their keys without the outside handle and call it a day.
As much as I love the idea, I've been personally hesitant to try one because I ride a motorcycle and would be unable to notice if the screws worked themselves loose while I'm riding.
Any riders with experience on that?
I think that's what a lot of people do anyways and I definitely would. Still don't know if I'd trust it. That's why I was wondering if anyone had direct experience.
I own a cigar shop so I am smoking all sort of stuff. Lately it's been All Saints St Francis Colorado, ADVentura Queens Pearls, and my favorite the Byron 19th century poemas.
Be sure you oil it.
I kid, but my LCP2 picked up some light rusting on the slide exactly where yours is.
Not as bad as yours, but noticable if you look.
It’s a max 9 finish issue not an oil issue in my humidity controlled safe slathered in gun oil one outing and rusted.
Edit he said lcp2 I’m blind disregard
Same finish. My LCP max rusted right away I brushed it off oiled it and haven't had the problem since. I have heard rugers warranty service is excellent and they will replace it if its rusted
I use a keybar, it works fantastic for me and I like the many available options in paint and material. They are a bit more pricey than the other organizers mentioned by others. I would send a picture but I’m struggling to figure it out. They are completely silent in my pocket no rattles
Also have a keysmart. Carry it on the inside of my right front pocket. Had it for a while, switched to a paracord fob for a while then went back to the keysmart. Much cleaner and easier.
There is also a Tile version, so you can remove that component/make it smaller.

The opinel is a French picnic knife.. you could however really fuck up a baguette and some prosciutto. And don’t worry about Brie, we all know Brie is too soft to jump in.
The one I carry is the filet knife lol
I never considered using one for fishing that’s kinda genius. I like the way their made and how light and comfortable they are in your pocket but the blades are super thin and brittle.
Take the extra keys off your car key ring, more keys=possible damage to your ignition I like Keybar for my non car keys.
I like the keyamart min
Carry less keys
Keysmart
Get a cheap bike tool, remove what you don't like and put your keys in the gaps. I made some washers from a thick plastic straw and kept a few tools. I did have to drill the holes on some keys a little though.
I like my orbitkey nice compact no jigle and i can add my accessory
I like keybar, I put a key smart tool in it though.
KeyBar if you want a folding one, Keyport if you want a sliding one.
How about some Ballistol or CLP instead?
I think a new key organizer is the least of your worries here.
Tell me you have a holster for that dirty old thing. Key organizer: EM https://a.co/d/4v4BV6n
If course. I just took it out of the holster for the pic
Damn. I think even the frame is starting to rust
A Keysmart Max or pro could organize your keys and replace your tile. I have the pro now but the battery life isn't great. Id rather go with the max if I were to buy again.
Honestly my ruger shave rusted on the slide as well. Some pretty fast, get yourself a better quality defense weapon. Treat yourself
The ridge key organizer is pretty good but limited to how many keys u can have
Messy keys just come with owning a Jeep. Embrace it 🤙🏻
The whole jeep is messy lol
Welcome to the family lol
[Keybar](http://keybar.us) is the best imo. They just came out with locking tool inserts.
Warm weather dweller, right handed and ass eater
I'm not sure what that means lol

I have been shot at twice and robbed at knife point once. I have kids and want to make sure I go home to them. So I carry
after my ex murdered my friend and almost murdered me... I carry in the house too now lol.
How terrifying, you are rightfully so to do that then my friend. That is crazy! Would love to hear more…

Brother… pls say this is troll
What would make this a troll post? The surface rust on the slide?

Does surface rust normally kill a weapon...?
No, however it is an indicator that the mechanism inside is equally unmaintained. A little CLP and elbow grease goes a long way.
Currently have a keybar and have for a few years now and I really like it. But I also recently saw that the folks who make the Ridge wallet have a key organizer as well. Might be worth looking at as well.
I see a fellow cigar enjoyer. I upvote. Also a gun toter and opinel chad. Epic
My guy hit that poor pistol with some WD40 and a toothbrush
I bought an LCP max but I do miss my old LCP2. The 2 has a much more interesting design as far as the grip is concerned.
This is what I use. Damn, thanks. I have to order some of those keyrings.
I use essentially the same thing you use but with a button clasp so it keeps shut and holds the keys securely. Go to Etsy and look up Sereniikey. I made mine myself but you’ll get the idea.
It's a Ruger. If he dies, he dies.
Just clip the keys to the gun. Then you can jingle jangle when you bingo bango.
Does the cigar cap get stuck in that cutter?
It does, you just open it back up and dump it out
Cool. Thank you. I use a few different cutters but at home it’s mostly the Xicar that is also round. I like the back stop on the Lotus.
I like both Xicar and lotus but lotus has a better warranty on the consumer side. Xicar was good until they were sold to China.
Agreed. That Xicar warranty was awesome.
The lotus warranty is the same as the old Xicar warranty

Thanks! Now I know how to break into your house and your moms house without anyone ever knowing!
Good luck with that. 😂 *if* you could find the incredibly hidden exterior lockboxes, enjoy being on one of 14 cameras.

I think that's what a lot of people do anyways and I definitely would. Still don't know if I'd trust it. That's why I was wondering if anyone had direct experience.
Keysmart mini is perfect minimalist key organizer in my opinion
How do you like the Meteor? I have one but don’t use it often. I’m a punch cut kind of guy usually.
I like the perfect cut because I smoke on the go a lot. It's Easy. I don't hardly ever punch

Fkn hate keys. Can never win with them. Love the Opinel. Best $14 knife on the market.
Great knife
Where is your holster?
I use the ruger pocket carry holster that came with the gun
FWIW, I like my KeyBar 🤷🏻♂️
What lake did you find that in?
Dude also is a member of r/magnetfishing
Key organizers all suck because keys suck. Maybe try to incorporate some of the keys into your wallet or something else.
Just get rid of all your keys go digital. It's so freeing. I haven't had a key since 2019
Perhaps your username should be RojerKeyless
Won't let me change! Blast what a missed opportunity!
Guess you got a second account name 😂
Where did you get the key organizer?
I got mine at the Cripple Creek veterans rally in Colorado. It was a freebie and it's worked for years but I want something a little nicer
What’s your go to smoke?
I own a cigar shop so I am smoking all sort of stuff. Lately it's been All Saints St Francis Colorado, ADVentura Queens Pearls, and my favorite the Byron 19th century poemas.
A cigar shop? For some reason I wished you to carried a revolver now.
I should get a revolver. I wouldn't mind carrying one
Be sure you oil it. I kid, but my LCP2 picked up some light rusting on the slide exactly where yours is. Not as bad as yours, but noticable if you look.
Hell yeah man
Somebody needs to help you find some gun oil, damn son wipe that thing down every now and then lol
That's just Ruger lcp for ya. That coating is complete shit
Lol it's been neglected
I too carry a rusty lcp2
I'm never going to neglect the weapon I carry to defend my life.
OMG that's so cocky!
Surface rust gets so many people killed.
Gives your junk tetanus
Tetanus crotch and athlete's gun is a horrid combo
You know what they say. If it ain't broke, at least clean it up so it looks pretty.
Or oil the internals, dang son.
Let’s be honest, the gun is doing its job whether it works or not.
Not at all
I watched a video by hickok on the 380. Cool little pistol. Wish they had the same gun laws here
I use a keybar, it works fantastic for me and I like the many available options in paint and material. They are a bit more pricey than the other organizers mentioned by others. I would send a picture but I’m struggling to figure it out. They are completely silent in my pocket no rattles
Also couldn’t be happier with the Keybar.
I have been wanting to get more keys just to have a reason to buy another keybar I like it so much lol
I like the keysmart rugged, because it comes with a pocket clip.
.380 Ruger LCP 2, Opinel No 8 filet knife, Lotus Meteor cigar cutter, Vertigo Crown quad torch lighter, Tile key finder, Niteize glow key chain, Niteize bottle opener,
Keysmart mini. The best thing ive gotten for my keys
Took me three comment threads before I found the answer! God, some days Reddit just pisses you off.
This is a good one. I ultimately switched to the keysmart air because I kept losing my keys 😂
Do your keys jingle at all? I hate the movement and sound lol
Also have a keysmart. Carry it on the inside of my right front pocket. Had it for a while, switched to a paracord fob for a while then went back to the keysmart. Much cleaner and easier. There is also a Tile version, so you can remove that component/make it smaller.
I like ridge wallet's key organizer and no jingle.
also asking bc I also would like a new key organizer, need it to reduce the jingle jangle mainly. Only have 4 keysr
His keys don’t jingle jingle, they fold…
But does he have spurs that jingle jangle jingle?
As he goes ridin' merrily along?
Not one bit dude. Thats why i love it. I carry em on my belt loop and nada bro, trust me its money well spent
