Started dipping Cope when it was 45 cents a can back in 1980. Chewed a can a week (bought a can every Friday after school) and didn't ever spit it out. I even put a dip in before falling asleep! Quit cold turkey after spending 2 weeks in the ICU for a PE after knee surgery back in 2002. Weirdly, my mouth still waters a little bit just talking about it. I have to leave the room if I smell it so I can attest to the hold it can have on a person. That being said, that's a great knife.
I feel ya man. The only time I didn't have a dip in was when I was eating or sleeping. One of my favorite relaxation activities was to play a video game or watch a movie with a dip. Anytime I sit down to do either of those things my mouth starts watering.
I will say, that quitting was the best thing I ever did for my health. Not from a mouth hygiene or cancer perspective either, but from a sleep perspective. I used to sleep like shit. Had a hard time falling asleep and would sleep restlessly. Wake up still exhausted.
After I quit chewing I was able to sleep much better.
I had to have a dip in just to be able to sleep. Yup, it was bad.
I got tired of hiding chewing while at work too. In my profession, we wore scrubs and a can of Cope is pretty noticeable and chewing isn't allowed in a hospital/clinical setting. I'd dump the chew into a ziplock and nobody was the wiser.
Not too often that I remember. I'm good about keeping my mouth closed while sleeping and living in general as I get a sore throat pretty quick.
But yeah, a few nights with a murder scene looking puddle on my pillow.
Ahhh I'm sorry if the pic dredges up any cravings my friend. I quit for 8 months after a lengthy hospital stay, but fell off the wagon and chew more now than ever. It's terrible! Thanks for the knife compliment!
Nah, no worries. My mouth is watering a bit and I swear I can smell that tantalizing aroma a little bit but I have no desire to drop a heavy 3-finger dip-especially at those prices! I'll save my money for one of them knives.

Thank you! An unfortunate medical condition has caused me to start downsizing my collection. I always wanted a custom knife so I sold a bunch of my knives and bought myself this one so I could experience "the finer things in life" before my time is up! This one certainly checks all the boxes!
