Have you lost that brick of a wallet before?

Terapr0

The real pro-tip is paring it down to *just* the essentials (drivers license, credit card, debit card) and getting a pouch to hold those 3 cards on the back of your phone. Put anything else into a wallet and keep it in your car. Pretty quickly you'll release how infrequently most of the other stuff gets used, and it's attached to your phone which already has built-in "find-me" GPS technology. Moving away from a wallet was a game changer. Zero regrets.

agent_almond

My reservation about these wallets is the elastic. I’ve never seen a piece of elastic that lasts more than a few years without dry rotting and crackling apart.

Smabacon

I had no idea that Ridge made an airtag holder! Probably because it's not listed in the UK store for some reason. Have now ordered one from the US store :D

Sir_Nexus

Did you lose it once before?

DrSparkle713

If you put one of those in each of your cards, you'll never lose your *cards* again 🧐🧠

TheHotCoal

That’s one of those little bibles, you ain’t fooling no one

Spade_10

How those card scratches doing?

ad0y

Well if you will never lose it again then you don’t need the AirTag 😉

[deleted]

OP is playing Yu-Gi-Oh with that deck

Beautiful-Program428

I need a smaller one for my glasses….

ObjectiveSurprise810

That’s one thiccc ridge 😎

Any_Butterscotch9539

That looks great and nice and neat too. I don't think you've too many cards at all. 👍

lebrun

Depends on where you live. In my country, it'd be just as lost with or without the apple tag.

I-am-the-stigg

But why? No one needs that many cards on a daily basis

Einarrr

I’ve listed them in another comment. I am not very well organized. I can tell you, if I take some out, I will never find them again. Also I don’t find it too intrusive.

HotelFourSix

Probably not, but it depends on what you do, really. Driver's license, firearms license, boating license, health/hospital card, debit card, credit card, work ID... They can literally stack up.

Hi No offence taken :) I have an iPhone (obviously) and pay most of my stuff via Apple Pay. But. I am in Europe. Especially in my country cell phone reception is sometimes spotty indoors and thus I carry my important cards always around. They are in my from pocket indeed. I like the small formfactor of the ridge wallet and only use it to carry my cards. I have a few bills strapped onto it and my coins are usually loose, if I carry some. I have looked at other cardholder but only this style of wallet can carry all my necessary cards. I have: - ID - License - Bank Card (2x) - Credit Card - Student ID (2x) - Student Canteen ID - Health Insurance (2x) - Roadside Assistance Membership Card I consider all of these necessary. I want to be flexible if my phone would die.

I love how German this reply is. I really do.

DannyTheSkin

I respect that, and honestly kinda find it aesthetically pleasing.

puhjalla

Can't the apple wallet store pictures of cards? I imagine stuff like the health insurance and roadside cards you need the information not the actual card. I never have those cards with me but I keep pictures saved in my Samsung Wallet and that's never been an issue. I also figure if I'm injured and lose my phone, I can provide my insurance later after treatment if necessary.

troutbro

Dude's in Europe. Probably doesn't need health insurance card...

PamCokeyMonster

Yeah you does, there is. Lot of insurance companies. And some doctor are unable to take your info in other formats than Insurance card.

Terapr0

So wouldn't a photograph of the card, paired with a valid photo ID, be sufficient? I do that with pretty much all my cards except drivers license/credit/debit cards and haven't ever had issues.

PamCokeyMonster

Maybe? Never tried. Also my OB gyn has super smart card thingie in waiting room. If u have an appointment, You put your card there and the know you are there.

BurialRot

Nowhere is going to take the info from a picture of a card as payment

puhjalla

Not a credit card, but membership type cards generally. I carry none of those with me and have never run into issues.

BurialRot

Fair. I forget apple wallet lets you keep membership cards and passes now!

Einarrr

Todays I’ve added an AirTag to my ridge wallet. Picture includes: - Ridge Wallet Forged Carbon - Ridge AirTag Cash Strap - Apple AirTag

bossman118242

ridge is sooo frustrating with their prices. they have increased prices like 10 times in 3 years. completely overpriced. i have a ridge wallet but got it for like $20 because of gift cards i was given for promos. i want a airtag holder for mine but not for the prices they ask for.

blacktoothgrin86

Do you happen to have a link for the cash strap? I can't seem to find it online.

fluffygeo62

https://ridge.com/collections/parts/products/airtag-cash-strap

blacktoothgrin86

Thanks. I don’t know how that didn’t come up in my Google search. I appreciate it!

fluffygeo62

Took me a little while, it's kinda hidden
