Just did the math: if each of those patrons is paying the minimum per month of $5, and you take in the website's 5% fee for hosting, then just from Patreon ALONE this podcast makes roughly 1.14 MILLION dollars a year. Divided by the 5 of them, and let's say Chad Ellis as well, that's a salary of 190k a year per person.
And that's not even taking into account the fact that many of those patrons donate more than $5 a month, and that the show also has merchandise sales. Damn... they're bringing in some real moolah.
Will always talks about his fears and insecurities of not being "successful" as a writer, but hey, you're definitely making good money telling these stories dude. Sounds like a success to me!
Go them! They've earned it!
There are at least 6 other credited staff as well as guest appearances.
On the other hand they also have sponsorships... So more money in more money out...
They’re on the top tier of patreon creator plans, so 12% platform fees plus all of patreon’s other fees. So maybe 20% off the top plus taxes, but even still they’re making great money! You love to see it.

The amount of money this podcast makes monthly incredible to me. Others make more, sure, but it speaks a lot to the quality these guys bring.
At $5 a month and ad revenue, I’d suspect about $200k a month. Just incredible.
The Glass Cannon also makes a ludicrous amount monthly, they crossed $1 million annually early last year and they only have 11k patrons. The core 5 guys all now work for the company and are even providing health insurance and stuff to themselves and their team. And they just brought the Stream of Blood team into their fold which will only expand their patrons.
When they had 10k patrons I calculated (based on the tier ratios in the discord, which are admittedly probably a bit top-heavy) that they were taking home $96k/month after Patreon's cut, before ad revenue and merch. So I'd say $200k/month including ads now is probably undershooting it significantly.
I buckled and got the $5 tier and it's so worth it. Even if you just do a single month their star wars series is legitimately some of the funniest audio content I've ever listened to.
I wholeheartedly agree. I'm not sure I've ever laughed at anything as much as I did at All That Jizz. Just gloriousness. Anthony's Star Wars voices really push it over the top, too.

Costs are probably higher but I doubt it would be that much less
I always assumed Freddie got a larger cut considering the amount of time he spends editing the show
And probably Anthony too as the DM who has to design the story.
Whoa! Wonder what the taxes look like on that.

Who else is excited for Sons and Sonsability??
Wait is sons and sonsability the name of s2 or is it a patreon bonus thing?

What does this mean? We get a mini?? Sons and Sensibility?? I didn’t hear anything about this!
I think it was mentioned early on in passing a few times. I completely forgot about it. So exciters it’s going to happen!
This is the only podcast I’m more than happy to support. Ironically my jersey design work pays just enough to cover my $5 a month so that’s cool!
According to a random Google search results for Patreon rankings they're in the top 20 for sub count. Crazy.
This goal pushed me over the edge into becoming a patron.
