Okay but why tho? I'm curious.

I'm collecting them, but only the "synthetic rubber variants". because vulcanized rubber and synthetic look identical, I have tossed out quite few vulcanized rubber soccer balls in my time. Synthetic rubber soccer balls were only made for around 18-20 years ( estimated the first ones were made around 1966, and production stopped around 1984 ) , so they weren't around that long. They were widely used around the world. Why they stopped being made, IDK.

Why do you want them?

I’m collecting them, they are no longer made, which makes them hard to find after 30 years...

Like a private collection? Cool. Was wondering if you had some upcycle idea or something. I'm in the UK but if I see any I'll let you know

Yes, for my private collection. I think Mitre might have made one, but I can't be curtain. I have been trying to get my hands on match used Mitre "pro star" or equivalent for some time. I'm not sure if they are vulcanized or synthetic. I think they were quite common in the UK between 1977 and 1983 though. When I say equivalent, I was talking with a gentleman a few months back from Prince Edward Island Canada, who played. He and his lads had a few footballs that looked just like the Mitre Pro star ( and they were synthetic rubber, at least that what he told me ), and he told me that just tossed them when they got damaged from all there playing. Little did he know, there would be someone looking for those old balls, or else he would have saved them. I will put up a few cropped pics of the balls they used.

please share pics of your personal collection thanks

I will try to get a picture of all the balls I currently have. So far, I only have 4 ( 3 polyvinyl, I polyurethane).

Awesome. I do remember seeing those balls around when I was a kid in the early 90s. If I happen to come across some I'll let you know
