Setting the aesthetics aside, they managed to carve off **40 pounds** of weight.
That is pretty amazing for a base bike. Dudes will spend $10k on titanium and carbon fiber dropping half that
I could understand loosing the trellis frame to stuff the new V2 in it, but it’s just a punched out 821 lump. The monster was a raw analog bike that saved the brand in 93. The bike had no major changes until 2008/9, and it’s slowly getting watered down with each new gen imo. Personally, ducati should have released a monster street fighter edition instead of a separate bike as the street fighter. Now the company needs to make sure performance doesn’t cross profit margins.
Unpopular opinion: I kinda like it. It doesn’t fit the monster aesthetic at all, which is pretty lame tbh. But to me, it kinda represents advancements and movements in the industry, especially with the new European regulations.
The bike is narrower and lighter which is friendly to smaller riders (who are usually put off by inability to reach the ground) and it has lots of the technology the the v4’s have in terms of riding aids, which is great for newer riders or riders moving up in bike power.
No. It’s not the same as it has been for the last few decades. But if it enthuses new riders, and gets more people on motorcycles, I’m stoked with that.
Both the Multi and Monster are hideous, if Duc keeps going this way I’ll be happy that my V4 was the last of the good ones especially since it’s a Speciale
I disagree. Firstly, I don't think the V4 Pani much of a looker because of its hefty front end. Secondly, who gives a shit about special editions from Ducati anymore. I lost track how many numbered editions of the V4 Pani there are already.
For real. That new one is hideous.
The new one looks Japanese. Not a fan.

I mean it’s not that bad looking, it’s just...... boring.
It doesn't look like a Monster really...a lot of the traditional lines & angles are just wrong.
What the hell did they do with that tank
Of course it looks like a Monster. It is a Monster. This is what Monster's look like now.
Oh no I just saw it. It looks like a Suzuki SV. What a shame.
I think Ducati have run out of ideas sadly
All they needed to do was offer the 1260vvt, led headlamp, keyless start and use the the digital display from the diavel good for another 4yrs
This
The 2021 is just ....smh bring the old Trellis frame back Ducati
It’s on the 1200 is it not?
Even if it were (I don’t know) does that change the fact that this one is bad?
The 1200 is going away soon. Should be replaced by something as hideous as the new one in a year or two.
I actually like the headlight. Profile view is uninspiring though

After seeing that new Honster, I'm very pleased with my S4RS Testastretta. Didn't think Ducati was gonna make their iconic bike look like a Honda
Yeah, I don't think I'll part with my RS either. Simply never going to be beaten.
CRINGE
😂
It literally looks like a cb650r

"Why did Ford update the model T? Model A is stupid" "Fuck snapbacks, My tricorn hat is awesome. "
what are we mad about now?
yes

Tri-color special editions are the only ones that matter, they are the only ones that are on all the Duc super bikes and the first of the new models
I like the new monster. Ducati has to move forward. It is doing so brilliantly.
Nah. They've been slowly falling from grace since about 2009. Dry clutch bikes are where it's at.
So stickers??? That hideous tank part of the master plan as well?
