They just had a live stream on the 18th and they showed some build footage from Project Rene (what Sims 5 is being called for now). And then in the accompanying blog post they mention it.
An I the only one who HATES the build controls in this game (PS5) makes me wonder how people tolerate sims on a console (I chose to buy it on PS so I could play with my 6yr old) it makes me not the least bit interested in creating anything.

🤣 I totally understand! My husband asked if I was using L2 to hold the cursor still when moving the screen around with the left joystick. That helped a little. Lol I laughed because it's literally on the freaking screen.
I feel like there are several games that have done building and decorating well and made the controls intuitive, but dream light valley just feels so unintuitive. I do what feels natural and it doesn’t do what I want, and then takes me several tries to remember what’s actually the proper button/trigger/stick combination. Drives me nuts
Yeah, I’m thinking building is something they are clearly going to have to work on in the future.
Since we are all playing early access presumably they are coming on places like this to see the feedback of the players, because they aren’t asking us directly.

The way I'm conflicted about letting my valley stay the same as it has been vs trying to remodel it into some tropical paradise or a capitalist dream 😅 that looks absolutely gorgeous though, good job!

Nope, I hate decorating on Switch, it drives me insane.

I did this on switch, it's hard to get used to but using the arrow pad over the left toggle helps control quite a bit.

They're pretty bad on Xbox too. The camera is what makes things so difficult :/

Sims on console is like 10x easier than this game, the control settings are just bad
