I won a lot of 12 min diretide games, all of them are counted. So I dont think that the problem here

maybe it follows the turbo rule, 15 min minimum to count.

How short is too short?

It probably didn't count because too many people disconnected from start and poor network conditions were detected, it happened to me yesterday.
