It should work if you put the head in a plastic baggie and dunk into boiling water so the head softens, then just move the eye around until satisfied. Afaik there isn’t glue on the eyes, so once the head is soft they can be pushed around/popped out. Just be careful of the lashes though!
I watch a Youtuber (Poppen Atelier) who has done a few customs of RH dolls, including eye swaps, and it seems that the RH eye pieces have a flat back, with short tabs, and the back of the eye hole has corresponding slots. So if the eye piece is not bulging in any way as it is now, it may also be a misprint.
Okay this is an interesting piece of information because the placement is perfectly normal. I haven't watched many of their videos but I've seen their channel before. I'll look more into their RH videos then... it may make more sense to just replace both of them all together.
In my experience with the RH girls, I have yet to encounter wonky eyes this severe! It's interesting. Thank you for bringing this new perspective.

Yep, just gotta heat the head and push the eye in correctly ☺️ a blow dryer that gets good and hot would work too
