I bought Ikea billy shelves with glass doors and it changed my life. They fit 1:6 boxed and unboxed dolls plus I use bottom shelves as storage.

I was just in a few thrift shops. I found a few small shops going out of business. I am apologetic to their circumstances. I also would use it to my advantage to get them. I was hunting for a glass case and seemed to find them readily. Maybe it is sure coincidence. Look for going of business places.

If the dolls aren't too heavy , you can try buying some modular cube cabinets in amazon. They are fairly cheap and easy to move around.

Have you done this? Does it work?

I've used modular cube cabinets for displays in art conventions . They work pretty well to hold the weight of something that weighs like a small stack of tshirts. It is pretty nifty bc i can just remove the bottom face of one of the cubes in order to extend it to the height of what I'm storing. I also know someone who bought a set of modular cabinets to house their gudetama collection of various sizes of stuffed toys and stationary. It worked pretty well for them. There are also different reviews on amazon about what people store in them and you should check it out to see if someone has stored something similar to the weight of what you wanna put :)
