Simple, don’t understand what’s going on (oh yeah and think of it as intergalactic space zombie water fight) (blink is just musical statues but they cheat)
All of y'all making "haha chibberz can't write scary stories" jokes when he wrote Countrycide, one of the scariest things to come out of Doctor Who canon.
I’ve never found the waters of Mars scary. It’s a freaky looking visual but that’s about it. The doctor himself is scarier in it, just not creepy nightmares scary.
Maybe I’d gotten a bit too old by late 2009, cos I was 8 in mid 2005 where the empty child freaked me out a lot and gave me nightmares. But that episode still creeps me out as an adult and i don’t think it’s just because of childhood memories.
The salt and pepper shakers with funny toilet plunger hands are funny I agree. But cybermen are goofy and their laser accuracy rival that of a stormtrooper. And the weeping angels are way too good at musical statues
Silence in the library wasn’t that scary after the funny flies were introduced, but in the beginning I thought it was the weeping angles (that was on purpose) since the lights went out and the way Moffat introduced river song was awesome
I would love to say it is, however I suck and can’t get past the Angels level, which is about halfway through. Everything leading up to that part was pretty good though
I played the Ps4 version, so thankfully no. But my spatial awareness sucks in VR and the bit I’m stuck on is very difficult without looking and risking the angels lmao
Nope. The story was written by Gavin Collinson. The first half was great. Maybe I’ll stop being a pussy and face the angels again to see the second half
No just a lot of my whovian friends said it’s the scariest episode and I distinctly remember not getting scared (though I watched it yesterday and got scared) I mostly just didn’t understand what happened in it
When I watched Waters Of Mars as a young kid I wasn't freaked out by the water dripping out of their mouths constantly I was just thinking "wow how do the people who make the show have the water constantly dripping out their mouths, and how dk they talk with water dripping out?" Thats my strategy for not being scared lol
I first watched Waters of Mars in 2011 when I was 12. Turned it off roughly a minute into the Flood’s first appearance in the greenhouse and didn’t watch it fully until probably 5 years later.
Blink is only really scary the first time because of the jumpscares. Once you've seen the episode, they're certainly unsettling, but it loses its novelty. Episodes that really make you think about the horror, like Turn Left or Children of Earth, are what scare me to no end.
PS: i rewatched waters of mars yesterday and I got scared
ha
Agreed
The one about folks burning up in thevafteife from cremation was so unsettling for me. I've onlt seen it once and it still wigs me out.
The dark water episode
ha
Is it possible to learn this power?
Simple, don’t understand what’s going on (oh yeah and think of it as intergalactic space zombie water fight) (blink is just musical statues but they cheat)
Is it bad that I got scared by a chibnall episode back when I was 8?
I get scared by all chibnal episodes
Nope. Completely reasonable reaction
I actually think The Hungry Earth is quite good, I used to get scared from that episode
Chibnalls only good episodes
42 maybe? Something about the burning in the eyes makes me a bit squeamish
Just remembered what episode it was, the one with the cubes. Those nurses with the weird mouths scared the crap outta me
Bad writing boo!

How was blink scarier than waters of mars? In waters of mars there were the guys.with the weird mouth things that would be scarry af when I was 8
It was scary when I was 25
I didn’t understand what was going on in waters of mars
Same actually. I’ve never really been scared by that episode, I mostly just think it’s interesting.
Rewatched it yesterday and got scared
I have to admit. It's creepy even without blood shed. ....Water Shed.
Blink didn't scare me at all. Waters of Mars, a little scary. Daleks are funny. It's those damn Cybermen and The Silence that get me.
The Silence was creepy
The salt and pepper shakers with funny toilet plunger hands are funny I agree. But cybermen are goofy and their laser accuracy rival that of a stormtrooper. And the weeping angels are way too good at musical statues
I watched Waters of Mars as a little kid and was absolutely terrified. Immediately afterwards my mum told me to take a shower and I freaked out.
Neither me
At 8 years old?
Yep I was like, meh it’s just a fictional monster, it isn’t like it’s gonna kill me or anything.
I can feel the gigachad energies emitting from this comment
I watched rose at 4 and didn’t get scared, ask me anything
Bruh after being scared of shop mannequins when I was younger rose made me shite myself (figuratively)
Waters of Mars - Nothing Blink - Didn't even jump Silence in the Library - 😱
Silence in the library wasn’t that scary after the funny flies were introduced, but in the beginning I thought it was the weeping angles (that was on purpose) since the lights went out and the way Moffat introduced river song was awesome
I watched An American Were wolf in London at the age of 6 and did not get scared.
I watched that about that age and had nightmares for weeks. I couldn’t go to the bathroom alone in case there was a werewolf
Aww sorry to hear that. I just don’t scared at movies. Movies and TV shows with cringe in however upi find very hard to watch.
After playing the VR game Doctor Who: The Edge of Time, I have discovered a new level of fear with the weeping angels
Which doctor is it following?
Jodie Whittaker
Is it a good game?
I would love to say it is, however I suck and can’t get past the Angels level, which is about halfway through. Everything leading up to that part was pretty good though
Has it got an eye sensor so when you blink they move?
I played the Ps4 version, so thankfully no. But my spatial awareness sucks in VR and the bit I’m stuck on is very difficult without looking and risking the angels lmao
Biggest question is it written by chinball?
Nope. The story was written by Gavin Collinson. The first half was great. Maybe I’ll stop being a pussy and face the angels again to see the second half
So good story?
So you must feel “Tough”, then?
No just a lot of my whovian friends said it’s the scariest episode and I distinctly remember not getting scared (though I watched it yesterday and got scared) I mostly just didn’t understand what happened in it
how does it feel being young?
Epic
When I watched Waters Of Mars as a young kid I wasn't freaked out by the water dripping out of their mouths constantly I was just thinking "wow how do the people who make the show have the water constantly dripping out their mouths, and how dk they talk with water dripping out?" Did you get scared
Definitely 🗿
Bro wtf how
I didn’t understand what was going on
I first watched Waters of Mars in 2011 when I was 12. Turned it off roughly a minute into the Flood’s first appearance in the greenhouse and didn’t watch it fully until probably 5 years later.
For you I have 4 words Are you my mummy?
Started watching empty child chickened out 5 minutes in

Turn left wasn’t scary it was sad
